After spending 3 hours doing all of the Peak 2 Peak Gondola activities, we were hungry and needed a quick lunch. I found Chubby Ducks and saw they had pretty good reviews so we decided to check it out on a Saturday at around 2 PM. We ordered the Chubb (protein, lettuce, onion, tomato & tabouli, choice of sauce) and the Full Chubb Combo (which is the Chubb but with fries and a drink, which I am now realizing that they forgot to give us a drink). For the sauces, you can choose from BBQ, sweet chili, sweet garlic donair, garlic aioli, housemade hot, flaming hot, and tzatziki. We had a chicken and a beef. The chicken was very mediocre but the beef was good. It wasn't a great kebab but it was passable. Plus, it was huge. But the star of the show was the French fries. These were the battered fries, which are my fave. I should have known this was the popular item when they had a separate window just for poutine. Looking back, I would have just ordered the poutine, or the Snack Pack, which is fries topped with grated cheese and a protein. If you do get the chance to visit, skip the kebab and just go for the fries.

A bit pricy but the portion is gigantic! Was a great midnite snack for 3 of us. Conveniently located in the village and quick service. Small location but perfect for takeout.

A snack sized donair and snack poutine.

Give these guys ALL the attention. It's a complete hole in the wall, and I mean that in a good way. It's completely unassuming with their cardboard signage and zero seating, but, man, the food. My lord, the food. We went with a snack sized poutine and a snack donair. The gentleman helping us recommended the tzatziki and sweet chili sauces to go with the beef, and it was absolutely magical. A symphony of flavors and textures. Nice, fresh veggies, mellow, creamy hummus, tasty beef, sauces popping with flavor, a hot, crispy wrapper... It was just nuts. I'm going to be cursed to look for donairs now. And I'm not sure if I found one, it would live up to these. These folks deserve your business. And YOU deserve their delicious food. Lunch, dinner, a late night snack, whatever you can manage, make a point to stop here. You won't be disappointed.

Quick service, love how they load in all of the ingredients!!!! Got The Chubb (chicken) , really enjoyed the sweet garlic sauce in the donair

Take out place. Can take a little longer than expected if ordering items that need to go into fryer- limited space/baskets. Food taste 3.5. Generous portions so 4.0 for the price. Chubb is enough for 2 meals. If I went back would ask them to leave it on the press longer so bread would be more crisp and cheese more melted. Chicken & fries probably could be split between 2 kids. Poutine enough for 3-4 to share.

We were so excited to see new restaurants popping up at whistler. There was a steady flow of locals excited to eat here - and I hear the owners are the same ones as fat Tony's Pizza - so we decided to give it a try. They serve a mixture of poutine and wraps til wee early morning hours. When made, it's kind of like a Subway assembly where you can choose what size and what ingredients and sauces to add. Then they Grill the wrap on the press, and the size reduces quite considerably. Originally we thought the chubb could feed at least two people but when grilled the size reduced considerably to be sufficient to be maybe a 1 person snack. Taste wise, the meat didn't have much flavor and there wasn't much of it - maybe because the rotating donair was on its last legs when there. Maybe waiting for a fresh batch would have been better and more flavorful but what we got was still fun to try especially if wanting a late night snack.

Great spot for quick bites, grab and go type atmosphere, and they are open super late so they cater to the party goers/late crowd vibes. It's busy at 2am and the food is quality size portions. Highly recommend the poutine.

So here it is. I don't make it to whistler often. It was late and I needed a real treat. After wandering around the whistler village i noticed the chubby ducky, with its brilliant light and billowing smoke coming from the cook tops I entered this place and immediately knew I was about to have a full chub. Within minutes I had the full Chub, capitalized on it. And dear sweet baby Jesus it was amazing. After I finished I was in search of a cigarette. I don't know if I've ever had better. Great work chubby ducks

The food was good but its really heavy and messy. I recommend eating there vs taking it togo since it doesnt travel well.

Yummy poutine and had a chub. Lots of food for the price. Friendly service too. Note that if you drive you have to pay to park.

Really hit the spot after a long day of skiing. The kebab was big, tasty, and wasn't overly greasy or fatty.

I got the chicken tikka masala under the chicken specialty section and asked if the 5 level would make me cry. The waiter laughed and said absolutely, so I went with the 4. He was NOT wrong. I didn't cry, but I definitely started sniffling and my mouth was on fire when I bit into a pepper. The delicious mango lassi saved me. It had tiny bits of pistachio which was a revelation to me. I loved it and it tasted so fresh, not overly sweet. The chicken tikka masala was less saucy and creamy than I'm used to, instead it had a thick gravy consistency, but it was still very flavorful. I think the chicken tikka under their tandoori grill section might be more like I'm used to, where you can dip the naan in the sauce. The pieces of chicken were pretty big too. The garlic naan was generous and the mushroom pulao rice was delicious. Some reviews say this place is casual but I felt a bit underdressed since they do have white tablecloths/napkins. Service was very attentive and friendly. It was very warm inside so it was a nice break from the cold.

The space is clean and comfortable enough. A bit run-down though. For example, the decor is very dated, and the booth we sat at had tears in the seating which were duct-taped together. Looks tacky and cheap. Service was good, nothing to complain about there. But now for the food. We tried: Chicken pakora - slightly overcooked but not terrible, too salty fish pakora - nicely cooked fish, moist, firm - but too salty butter chicken - very average. Chicken breast chunks were fine, sauce was not that flavourful chicken tikka masala - a bit too sweet for my taste, and not much chicken, mostly onions garlic naan - fine. Naan had a nice texture, but very little garlic mixed grill platter - had a bit of lamb, chicken, prawns, fish. Everything was overcooked, dry, and just too salty. We are spoiled down in Vancouver with an abundance of excellent authentic Indian restaurants. This place in whistler is really only still standing because it has no real competition. Otherwise, the food is too salty, and frankly below average. Also the pricing is extraordinarily high for very small portions and a very casual dining experience - so why pay fine dining prices? The people running it were nice. That gets them 3 stars instead of 2. I would not recommend or come back here.

No other concern other than the road noise. We were a party of three - 2 adults and one 5-year old toddler. We ordered 4 things - 1. Mantu - very good but expensive for 4 dumplings 2, Chicken Shami Kebab - Comes with super soft buttery naan bread, Melt in the mouth kebabs and possibly the best kebab of my life. My son loved it and primarily ate most of it. 3. Uzbeki Palaw - Very good but the rice to meat ratio could be disappointing. 4. One cocktail and it was very good, very ethnically inspired. Everything was amazing. Portion sizes are small and we finished everything. Our server was so warm and advised visiting during brunch hours the next time to enjoy more kebabs given we likes it the best. Other tips! 1. Service is fairly quick. We were in and out within the hour. 2. There is street parking but finding a spot may still be challenging at any point. There is parking in the building but when we visited, the entrance to it was not working. 3. Reservations are highly recommended for weekends to be seated inside which is very chic and upscale. 4. Menu is pretty kid friendly food and none of the food was remotely spicy.
