Arthur started making cookies during the pandemic to cheer up loved ones. The cookies were such a hit that he recruited his two best friends to help him turn his side gig into a full-time business. The cookies are baked in small batches to ensure freshness. Each batch is made with quality ingredients. They don't have a store, so you order online for pick up. (chubbycookieco.com) They offer 8 standard varieties (including a Vegan Red Velvet) and 2 seasonal specials. Small (2 oz) are $2.50 and large (5 oz) are $4.70. My friend brought me one of the seasonal specials - The Hazeltine. It was a dark chocolate cookie flavored with coffee, stuffed with Nutella, and topped with a hazelnut brittle & chocolate drizzle. The cookies are best served warm, so you can enjoy the gooey center. Of course, I heated mine up and it was divine! It also wasn't too sweet, which makes it easy to eat more than one. We had the pleasure of trying these delightful and delicious cookies when they were recently a vendor at a Yelp event I just went to in Burbank. The cookies were incredibly tasty and moist, not too sweet at all, literally the perfect amount of goodness!! We tried the OG Chocolate chip and the Sprinkle (hope I didn't butcher the name ) but they were some of the best cookies we've ever had. I wish I had bought more. I placed my order online early in the morning with a pick up time later that morning. I went to pick up a lil after that time. I was a little confused with the process as I read that there would be an email confirming my order would be ready. Anyways, I turned up to the address; an industrial building which hosts multiple food related businesses, and found someone to let me in with them. My order was ready and included 1x Raspberry Cheesecake w/ Graham Cookie, 1x Choc Chip w/Walnut Cookie, 1x White Choc w/ Macadamia Cookie, 1x Double Dark Choc Cookie and 1x Vegan Red Velvet Cookie. They graciously included a couple of extra cookies since it was a birthday promo which I appreciated. Join their mailing list! I got the smaller sized cookie where possible which was perfectly fine since I bought a variety for MYSELF! I loved almost all of the cookies. I found The Vegan Red Velvet Cookie a little bland in comparison to the rest. I started with the Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie which set a high bar. What a great mix of flavors and textures. The White Choc Macadamia Nut cookie was full of Macadamias which I enjoyed. The Walnut is a nice contrast in the Choc Chip cookie. All of the cookies had a nice soft feel with slightly gooey bits in them. I can't eat cookies that regularly but these would also be a great gift for people. My husband and I have been on a cookie kick lately, though he definitely has a bigger sweet tooth than I do. That being said, we've tried Crumbl, Stuffed, Cookie Plug... They're all good, but I think I'd place Chubby Cookies at the top of my list for a variety of reasons: I live nearby and it was nice to be able to order cookies and drive over to pick them up the same day (a downfall of Stuffed cookies, where they aren't ready for pick up for several days after ordering)! I tried the double chocolate chip and the chocolate chip with walnuts and both are great! They aren't overwhelmingly sweet (Crumbl cookies are tasty, but hurt my teeth), they're flavorful, and they have a delightfully crispy-ish on the outside, soft on the inside texture. They offer two sizes of cookies. I opted for the 5 ounce ones (the larger of the two options) and I definitely think that's the way to go. They're just under 5 dollars each, which is about the same as Crumbl and cheaper than Stuffed. If they had more flavors, I might have opted to get a bunch of the smaller ones instead. But to try it out (and be impressed!), the 5 ounce cookies were a win. Aaaaand the employee I interacted with upon pick up was friendly and quick to bring my cookies out to me. I hope they start offering more flavors in the future, because I'm all in and will definitely be back! read more

I recommend getting the 5oz selection of cookies, not only it is almost the size of your own palm but how it was baked is amazingly done! From a crunchy outer layer to a soft, moist, packed, chewy inner layer. Once you started munching, you cannot stop finishing it (despite how huge the cookie is). There's a big sign in this commercial area and a parking lot to get your goodies. Was greeted by someone in the lot when I called and they quickly came out. Really friendly. The cookies are so good. These big fat cookies are popular but some of them are kind of dry. These are perfect. Lots of options to pick from too. If you're on the fence I'd suggest go with the 2 oz cookies and get a bunch.
