They were very proactive, remembered everything, and checked in consistently to communicate last call, add any drinks/sides, and their team also tag teamed super well with the busyness. I honestly didn't know what to expect from this place. We got there about an hour and a half prior to our reservation and informed the gentleman in the front. They seated us pretty quickly. We did the platinum tier. Our waitress, Stephanie, was so kind, sweet, and attentive. She explained everything to us. She helped us with our drinks, she helped me order the food and explain how the ordering works. Food and drinks came out super fast. I'm not used to kbbq, so I was trying to get the hang of cooking lol. The meats that they provide is absolutely amazing. The sauces they have add to the flavor of the meat as well. You can order the food pretty much a few minutes after they bring it to your table if you want to keep ordering. They came out and sang happy birthday to me and gave me a Chubby Cattle Birthday hat lol It's a cool experience, food is great, service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the service. My wife and I were talking about how incredible it is that they handle such a crazy fast paced environment. First time in this place, and what I can say is "wow!" I will definitely come back here with my family. Best experience so far in a Japanese-KBBQ experience. We ordered over 56 items here and what I can say is that it was so delicious and I was still craving for some more. There was a 70 minute time limit for ordering food. Once it ends, you are unable to order any more food dishes. The staff and service here were very nice and professional and welcoming to their customers walking in. The ambience here was quite spacious inside, I thought it would be small, but it was like a medium-size space with plenty of seating for your family and friends. This place is way out of our way but we've been making the trip whenever we are in the bbq mood since they never disappoint, we know what we are getting every single time. The place is just like any other bbq place, but one thing to highlight is their air vents, which such the smoke so well (other places you come out of and you smell like bbq for 3 days :) not here). This location has older facilities compared to the Rowland heights location. This means that this branch has lots of smoke in the restaurant, which means you'll smell like BBQ when you leave. This isn't a problem at the Rowland branch. Overall, the food is good quality. Pretty standardized throughout all chubby cattles. Service was great in the sense that our server was very attentive and kind. However, since they're busy, sometimes they're slow getting stuff out. It took a while for them to get us the drinks we ordered. In general, go to the Rowland Heights branch if you want a more special experience. But if you just want BBQ that's higher quality than those run of the mill chains, this is a good alternative. read more

I came here with my mom one day to treat her out for a birthday dinner. I was disappointed with my experience here given all the hype surrounding this place. It was very cramped inside and because of that, it was also loud because the restaurant was packed when we got there around 5:30 PM on a weekend. We both got gold tier so we could have a nice selection to choose from. At the price point of well over $100 after tax and tip, it wasn't worth it. The meat quality was lacking (only 1 or 2 cuts were decent but still) and service was quite slow, plus they forgot some of our dishes a couple times and we had to ask the servers multiple times to bring in dishes we had ordered already. I have tried Chubby Cattle Rosemead and Rowland Heights and MPK just doesn't cut it compared to the other two. read more

This was our first time at Chubby Cattle and our server was so kind to explain the process. We splurged on the Diamond tier ($85/pp) since this option included special meats and dishes x 2. 110 minutes to dine for parties over 6 ppl. You can order from the ipad every 3 minutes. We tried everything from the menu including the ones with caviar. But the star of the show are the limited Wagyu meats served in this wooden chest with dry ice. The quality of the meats is top tier. I've been wanting to go to Chubby Cattle for a while and now I finally had the opportunity to go. Plus, for $55 per person it's a decent price for the quality of food that you get. We came in around 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. Our meal comes with the first drink free so I got the sweet tea. I don't remember everything that we ordered, but I do remember ordering the Full Blood Wagyu Ribeye Steak, Full Blood Thick Cut Wagyu Short Rib, Wagyu Brisket, Prime Angus Finger Meat, Thin Sliced Beef Tongue, and Pork Belly. From the other dishes we also ordered the Salmon Carpaccio, Creamy Spicy Tom Yum Soup, Truffle Fries, Fried Tofu, Steamed Eggs, and King Oyster Mushrooms. We also got sides of Radish Paper and Wasabi to pair with the meats. There was so much food but luckily each plate came with only a little bit of meat so we were able to try a lot of variety. Every single thing we got was great, and the wasabi added a nice kick to it. The only one I would probably skip next time would be the truffle fries and the tom yum soup. The truffle fries were just extra carbs and more of a gimmick because of the truffle oil, and the tom yum soup was way too spicy for me and overpowered the other flavored in the soup. Service was great. They brought everything out pretty quickly and they constantly checked up on us. In the end they also offered Melona popsicles for dessert. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back again. It is pricier than other kbbq spots but you definitely get what you pay for. read more

We enjoyed the all the meats, vegetables and side dishes but the quality of white shrimps and Argentina red shrimps are questionable, they are just not very fresh tasting..... This place is small with about 15 tables and once it's full the whole restaurant is filled with smoke, maybe improve the ventilation system a bit and although they are a lot of workers but only two waiters are working that night and they are extremely busy to flag them down. read more

The service was efficient, leveraging a tablet system. The tablet paces orders, which is fine but I'd hope for a slightly quicker pace in consideration of grilling time and the 2 hour seating limit - especially for bigger groups.
