This is a great restaurant but a bit too expensive for me to be a regular here. Still, I was not disappointed in the food or service

My burger had no flavor. It was dry and tough. Everything else was great. Will try it again. People were very friendly.

Great fish and chips! Chips are a little soggy and under salted but acceptable. Definitely coming back though.

Best gyro around. Delicious meat, fresh veggies, homemade tsatsiki, and a grilled pita to wrap it all up.

Plenty of menu options- reasonably priced with good but not crazy portions. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My only complaint was the noise level from the full dining room made it hard to hear. I would say it goes beyond bringing the North End of Boston to New Hampshire, it brings the best of your mother or grandmother's kitchen. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, and although it is not in a large spot, the tables are spaced out and for some reason it has an intimate feel in a buzzing restaurant with a good vibe. I tried one of their specialty martinis, and I was not disappointed. I also tried the recommended wine and was very happy. I am a food in Italian wine snob and both were great. Attention is paid to detail. The bread that came out before the meal was fresh and tasty. I had the eggplant and veal parm and Bella had the chicken Parm. The gravy was cooked so perfectly that we ended up, sopping it up with the bread. The meal was perfect, and we had enough to take leftovers with us. Hats off to the entire staff of Giabella's,

(Apr 2026) For dinner, we had a baby-spinach salad with crushed walnuts, moist dried cranberries, crumbled gorgonzola, and sweet zingy raspberry vinaigrette. And rich tender spinach, basil, and tomato tortellini, in a creamy garlic sauce. Their Mussels Fra-Diavlo were fresh tender and juicy, sauteed in garlic olive oil, with crushed red peppers and rich Pomodoro sauce. We loved their brightly-flavored chicken piccata, pan-sautéed in light fresh-tasting olive oil, with white-wine lemon-butter sauce, tasty little capers, and melt-in-your-mouth artichoke hearts. Served over creamy risotto. So good! Our server, Maybelline is the nicest best ever, with a great sense of humor. We were happy to see Dario's busy in the early evening on a Friday (Apr 2026). Their dishes are so good, each perfectly prepared and delicious. They rival any we've had in that big Olde Towne on the harbor :-). We hope that Dario's Ristorante is part of a resurgence of good food spots in this part of town.

One odd recommendation: we ordered the tiramisu just after opening and it was honestly the best I've ever had, as coming out of the fridge made it a little more like ice cream. But seriously guys. That's the chicken parm you can't stop talking about? It was fine.

Friends ordered the salmon and mushroom ravioli and both really enjoyed their meals. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Not much to look at from outside nestled in a tight residential neighborhood with limited street parking but complimentary valet service. Going inside of the restaurant ,however, the space is much more upscale and very nice. Prices were what I would expect for an upscale menu of this quality with most entrees between $25 and $40. I look forward to returning!

Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts.
