I had been searching around for tattoo shops for a long time online as well as visiting a few personally, just to get a feel for the place and the artists. I was getting my first tattoo and I wanted to make sure I could sit down with the artist for a little while to talk about my design and about the process (whether they use disposable needles, licensed, etc.). As soon as I walked in the door, Jason and Tom were very friendly and very nice and I was struck at how professional the place looked - lots of actual art rather than pre-made stuff as well as portfolios of all the artists available on the table if you're waiting. It took a few days to get the design exactly right but the whole process was amazing, especially since I was extremely picky and every idea I thought was "Meh", Jason thought up something else on the spot to see if I liked that idea better. This was exactly what I was looking for. In the end, the tattoo was exactly what I was looking for and I'll be going back soon to get another. Very reasonable price, frankly, compared to a lot of other places that were much farther away than this one. Great place guys. I got my septum pierced here a few months ago. I called about 30 minutes ahead of time, asking if anyone was available, and although they were pretty busy they were happy to squeeze me in. Very nice, clean shop, with friendly and welcoming staff. I also love their little lounge/ waiting area. I wish I remembered the name of the girl who did my piercing. She was very gentle, and quick, and it barely hurt at all. Though the poor girl had a really hard time screwing the ball on the end of the septum jewelry (took her about 20 minutes), I really didn't mind. She was super nice, and did a great job. My piercing is fully healed now and it looks great. I will definitely be coming back for a few more piercings. read more

Kim was SO patient and talked her through everything and made her feel in control of the process. It took an hour and a half, and Kim was so nice and patient the whole time. I loved this tattoo shop and especially Barb! Everyone there was super friendly on the phone and in person. They are very quick about emailing and calling you back when you're setting up your appointments. We were in a slight rush to get our tattoos kind of last minute but they were very accommodating. It's a great environment because all the tattoo artists there were super friendly when they kept us company while we waited for Barb to set up for us. Barb took our own hand drawn sketches that we had and redrew them perfectly for us- she even had the new designs ready for us as soon as we walked in for our appointment. The tattoo itself was close to painless- she had the softest touch and made sure you were okay if the tattoo took a while. She also made sure the placement was perfect and that you were completely happy before starting. The price was also very reasonable. You are required to make around a $50 deposit but that goes towards your overall tattoo price. We only paid $75 each for two tattoos that were both around 3 inches with a lot of detail. Our whole experience here was amazing and I highly recommend this place. I'm definitely sending everyone I know here and I might even be back for another tattoo as well :) read more

Chroma Tattoo and I meet again. I went in for a nipple piercing. I had both done but I ended up taking one out because I didn't like the way it started to look any. Anyway, I went into the shop (they've remolded since I was there last) I got pierced by Barb...very nice and chill lady. She noticed that my nipple piercing was done a little farther away from the body than she would have done it so she asked if she wanted it to match my other nip or do it how she would have done it. I decided to let her do it how she would've done it. She said If I wanted to I could come back and let her fix my other nip too. In the end very satisfied with my experience there. Came here for my first tattoo. I was pretty nervous walking in, but right away Jason was super friendly! I explained what I was looking for and he scheduled an appointment for me later that week. When I came back for my session, it was the same chill vibe and super friendly service. The waiting area was very welcoming and I enjoyed being able to watch "Property Brothers" (don't laugh) while he drew up my design. He was chatty and friendly while he was doing my tattoo (not so much that I was worried he was distracted or anything, just enough to create a really calm atmosphere.) I had a general idea of what I was looking for, but Jason came up with a design that perfect- exactly what I was trying to accomplish. The whole experience was great from start to finish and I am thrilled with how my tattoo turned out. I had no idea what to expect pricing-wise since it was my first tat (and pretty small) but the price ended up being a lot lower than what my husband (who has tattoos) estimated. I was considering getting my 4 1/2 year old daughter's ear pierced and always heard great things about Chroma. I talked to a very nice woman on the phone and also went into Chroma to look at earrings. I spoke with 2 women at the front and also to Barb, who does the piercing. They talked to me and they talked to my daughter and explained the process. Instead of making a sale, they gave me great information and about what would be best for my daughter so I could make a decision that would be best for her. I walked into Chroma to get a tattoo because a friend of mine recommended i go there and had set an appointment with Barb. My appointment was set for me to come in a week after consultation. Once I showed up to my appointment, Barb had no idea who I was or what my tattoo was about.. she was very unprofessional. I was told to wait in the waiting room while she found my sketches but it happened to be that she had absolutely nothing prepared. I was so disappointed. They took a 50$ fee the week before that was non refundable. I lost 50$ and walked out of there with no tattoo because she was so unprepared. Definitely don't think you should go here. read more

My 6 year old has wanted her ears pierced pretty much as soon as she could talk. My husband researched ear piercing to death and decided that if we were going to do it, we were going to do it right and get it done at a reputable, licensed tattoo parlor that used hollow piercing needles. After watching several You-Tube videos of needle piercings at parlors, my daughter was still adamant she wanted to do it. So, I called several places and, and Kim was by far the friendliest and most reassuring person I spoke with. She was clearly comfortable with piercing children's ears and was able to direct me to some images of work she had done with children before. The reviews were all very positive too. Not having any experience with tattoo parlors myself, I was really not sure what to expect. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and the facility was very clean and professional looking. They had a very comfortable waiting area which my other two children appreciated! Kim did a great job chatting up my reserved and very nervous daughter. She marked the ears and let both my daughter and I comment on desired placement. She explained everything that was going to happen and even let my daughter sit on my lap for the needle part. It was fast, which was good because according to my 6 year old it did definitely hurt. We had some tears, but they dried pretty quickly once she got to see her earring in the mirror. The second one was definitely more stressful, and it would be nice if they could do them simultaneously. By the time we got home, she said her ears didn't hurt at all. She's already counting down the days till she can put in new earrings! As a side note, I really like the hollow tube, flat back earrings that they use here. There is no pokey part to stab her while she sleeps, and I like that the earrings have room for her ears to swell as they heal. Kim was great about answering my after care questions as well. She told me that if the ear starts to worry me, to just come in and she can help us determine if what I am seeing is normal healing or something that needed special attention. This was one of the more expensive quotes that we got for ear piercing (a little over $100), but I think it was well worth it for the comfort of knowing it was a professional piercer, a clean facility, and high quality jewelry. read more
