Service was fast and good, very friendly. We tried the chicken parm and the broccoli Alfredo. Came with a more than decent side salad. Salad has onions, green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots. The food was better than we hoped. We did look at the pizza bar, but we had pizza the night before. Will be back. read more

Christo's is a hit or miss. Miss if you get the pizza buffet. Pizza is on the rubber side. Their crust is probably the only good thing about it. But even though they have different pizzas to choose from, it all taste the same. Greasy and bland. Salad bar isn't too bad. When ordering the buffet, you can a choice of pasta on the side as well. It's just spaghetti noodles with red sauce, white sauce, or Mac and cheese sauce. My hits are their wings or a sub on pita bread. Wings are huge and has that perfect crisp to it. Although the hot sauce can be a little too vinegary, it's always hot and fresh! Since I've ordered a steak and cheese, or any sub on pita instead of regular bread.. I haven't gotten it any other way! Taste so much better! Their Christo's special, the way it comes, is probably the only one I get on regular bead.. and that's really good too! No matter what time of the day, you can find the parking lot full of cars! They stay busy, so more at dinner time. The wait staff and the cooks are doing a great job keeping everything in line. When we came in for lunch, I saw that the buffet was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Okay, cool. I like the food here, we'll sit down anyway. Very much calls to mind the Brick Oven Pizzeria in Clemmons, only not as much of a wait. Anywho, my husband and I were seated and our waitress, a lady with dirty blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, green eyes and hoop earrings, recommended me the cheese steak stromboli, which was majorly delicious, dudes. I'm not even kidding. It was so worth the wait (which really wasn't all that long), and I wasn't even the least bit upset about the buffet not being available. This place has been a favorite of ours for a few years now, and we're only just coming back after a while. Next time, I would love to try the carbonara. read more

I had passed by this restaurant a few times this week, and decided to go for the lunch buffet. Didn't read anything about the place, so I was guessing it was a local diner type place. I was seated and the friendly server mentioned the $6.99 buffet with salad, pizza, and spaghetti. The spaghetti is not on the buffet, but is brought to your table with your choices of sauce. Salad portion had a pretty good variety of toppings. Pizza selection was ample, including dessert pizzas. This wasn't great pizza, it was good. Crusts seemed to be possibly overcooked a bit. For the price a very good value. As an out of towner I did notice a couple of things that had nothing to do with the food. The exterior had red and green in the colors but the business logo is a buffalo head with wings. So . . . is this place Italian or a sports bar with wings? The place had three tv sets and all were placed above the buffet table. Nothing wrong with that, just a little different than I had seen any other place. I also noticed a lot of "no" signs: no buffet Friday night, no reservations Friday or Saturday, no sharing of the buffet, no buffet take out, etc. Removing the "no" comments and replacing them with better worded policy statements would be much more professional and positive. read more

What a miserable, disappointing dining experience lunch was here today, and on all levels. We were looking forward to finally trying this place after eating at Milos in Thomasville a while back - same concept (pizza buffet with salad bar), same pedigree, totally different outcome. The service was as bad as we've experienced in a long time. The waitresses were all clumped up at a booth in the back of the restaurant, totally absorbed in personal matters and chatter. They reluctantly tore themselves away when forced to to deal with a customer. When we arrived there was only one couple in the restaurant, and of course, the "hostess" promptly lead us to the table next to them. After placing our drink order, we moved to another area of the restaurant. The pizza buffet was not setup and we were told it would be a few more minutes. We started with the salad bar, which was a pretty nice one, though the only green thing was iceberg lettuce. We finished our salad and waited on the pizza and our spaghetti, which is included in the buffet price. We did at least get our drinks refilled - yeap, we'd been there long enough to empty them. Finally, the pizzas were brought out. We sampled about 5 or 6 kinds, and were very much underwhelmed. Other than a stuffed pizza and a veggie, the slices all looked alike, they all tastes alike - the toppings less than fresh, the cheese cooked to the point of thin leather, all dripping grease everywhere. It is a good thing the lunch buffet is cheap ($6.99) because the pizza is awful. We never saw our waitress again, never were served our spaghetti, never saw a single smile from any employee, never heard a thank you, never even received an acknowledgement when we told the "hostess" we'd never got the spaghetti, nor did we have a check for the meal - from the look on her face it was obvious that I had her confused with someone who gave a damn. Been to this place quite a few times, but honestly there are not many other places in the area to go sit down and have a meal. With that said I like this place. The food has always been good, the wait staff has always been friendly, and for the most part I have never had any problems whatsoever. This time I got the small pepperoni stromboli - it's pretty large, and very good. I've also had the stuffed peppers (which are very good as well), and a few of their sandwiches. Don't eat here! I stopped here with a group of family members on a Saturday at lunch at 12:00. I had never been here and some of the others in our group had not eaten here in over 20 year. As we were being led to our table, I noticed my shoes were sticking to the floor, not just in spots, but the entire way. The ladies restroom was horrible; one of the stall partitions was supported by a piece of wood, the soap dispenser was empty, paper towels were not in the dispenser, and the floor was sticky. Our table was also sticky. We were there at the beginning of lunch so the uncleanliness was not due to having such a busy, crowded lunch crowd, this was due to poor management and employees not cleaning. While we waited in line to pay, I noticed a kitchen towel under the dessert case. If the staff ever cleaned the place, they would see this. I could not wait to get out of this place. When was the last time the floor was mopped?! I was afraid to eat here but I tried the salad bar, hoping that most of the options were not prepped by any of the employees. I was hopeful that most items were 'open a bag and fill the bowl' or 'open a can and pour' because I would not want to eat anything the staff actually had to touch! I would not want to know what the kitchen looks like since the staff obviously don't clean the dining room. I presume they treat the kitchen area the same. The back door had huge gaps at the bottom. I wonder what kind of insect and rodent issues they have. The health rating was a 90 and was last inspected in January so they are due an inspection soon. I can't imagine them receiving an A at the next inspection; they barely made an A the last time. read more

Where to start I can't say the food isn't decent, it's decent. That's really it. It's not outstanding or exceptional, just decent. Now I have no issues with being slapped on the butt but when I'm at work with a bunch of women I'd like for them to refrain from doing that just as when I eat at an establishment I'd like to not have to see this while trying to swallow my meal with no drink, water etc because you're to busy getting slapped on the butt and playing girlfriend/girlfriend instead of waiting on tables. That's what wait staff usually does is wait on tables. When I arrived at this SWINGING establishment there are females flocked around the front at the register, at the window, and just standing up against the cooler that's located behind the register waiting to seat people which she just stood there and looked at me and me not knowing what she's doing except standing ups against the cooler I didn't say hey heifer seat me I thought she was resting, she looked exhausted after a long day I'm sure it was only 1:30 pm but nonetheless she seated someone in front of me because again she didn't budge off the cooler when I walked in so after she took the family in front of me I just seated myself. Should have got my drinks to. The other wait staff around the window were slap happy and didn't want to be bothered obviously, putting your hands in each others back pockets and then serving food is real classy I mean real classy. They don't mind about knocking you down if you happen to have your back to them and can't see them barreling your way, no excuse me they just knock you to the side really. I guess you can't wait to get back up to the window for some more pocket play literal pocket play it's really disgusting and I've lived in the area for 20 years and this Christo's has always been my favorite but I will not go back and haven't been back and won't even order out because I don't know if a pocket player had anything to do with getting my food together and I don't eat butt or like butt flavored! This review was written during a third wave of COVID-19. The food was good and the service was adequate. The problem is the total disregard for the current pandemic. The hostess tried to seat us in the middle of the restaurant with a bunch of other people - not taking any effort to socially distance people. Our waitress was wearing her mask under her chin the entire time. One waitress was wearing her mask properly. The girl at checkout was wearing a mask but, not over her nose. This place sucks, I used to order from here at least every other week but now I'd rather eat anywhere but this place. Every time I order, they always get something wrong and the owner refuses to fix it. The delivery times are always over 45 min and my food arrives cold and soggy. I do love christos the only issue I have with them is their portions getting smaller and the amount of items on there subs seem to be getting lower. But there fries are the best, fresh and seasoned I love them. I usually get them with some house dressing and dip them in. They have new york style pizza good but a bit to greasy for my taste. There wings are OK also very very oily also don't get BBQ there sauce is not good tastes like store bought. Service is good and they have a full bar. Christos seems to be a good place to go, but we only visited for dessert when I was in town visiting an old high school friend. The desserts are made by a local bakery and bought for the store. Since we were only there for a short time, and my friend knew several people there (including the waitstaff), it is hard to judge how an outsider's experience would be. I recommend it for another trip in the future. read more

CHRISTOS is one of our favorite restaurants in Lexington. They have the best wings I've ever eaten. I order them medium on the bone. Their homemade wing sauce is excellent. All their subs, pizza and pastas are very good too! We even buy jars of their homemade dressings to take home and the CHRISTOS wing sauce. Great service too!!!! 2 locations in Lexington. Nothing like it used to be. Cheese is like rubber. Crust is hard as a rock. Salad bar looked three days old... Dined there on Sunday night. Should not have stayed. Wait staff wearing masks under their chins or no mask at all. When I asked our waitress to please pull her mask up she said "really?". When I said yes she pulled it up half way and continued to take our order. Upon leaving I could see that no cooks in the kitchen were wearing masks or gloves. We will not be back. I have never been disappointed by my experience at Christos. I don't understand the mediocre to negative reviews. I probably eat here at least twice per month. I've tried other locations and they were not as good. This location rocks. The wait staff are always attentive and the food is prompt. I rarely get buffet. I have tried nearly everything on the menu. They have pasta, wings, sandwiches and the most beautiful salads. I can't say enough about the terrific waitress we had tonight (Hannah). Our drinks were always full and she made sure everything was perfect. Christo's also never fails to help out with school fundraisers and they are a wonderful part of this community. They are nearly always crowded, but I have never had to wait long for a table. read more

Would have given a 5 if the food was as good as the service. Stopped by on the way back from Clemmons to Charlotte with a business associate. Got there around 2:30 p.m. and they were about to take the buffet down for the day. She tried a piece of pizza, and we both had the salad. Great selection on the bar. Our server Krystal suggested wings, and we went with her suggestion. They were decent, if ya like a lot of sauce, but cooked a bit hard for my taste. Not a bad deal for the money, but might try somewhere else next time around, unless we can be guaranteed the same server. Very nice young lady. read more

As a local of Lexington, we have been here my entire life. Usually do take-out, we decided to eat in tonight, the service was SO bad, it would take me an hour to explain how bad it was. Example- we asked 5 times to get 2 waters, (as a party of 2) one person got their food and was almost done with their meal before we got our waters, then finally I got my food. We'll still come back but I will never eat at the chain on HWY 8 again. Terrible service on every aspect. As a server myself, our server couldn't have done a worse job. I used to eat here occasionally with my coworkers. Food was mediocre as was the service but then I stopped for lunch on a Saturday as I noticed that the Pizza Buffet special, with drink and salad bar was listed on the marque so that's what I had. When given my ticket I was charged several dollars more than the advertised price. When I questioned the waitress she told me that the special was only on weekdays. When paying at the register I asked for the manager (owner?) and pointed out to him that the marque advertised the special but I was charged a regular price. He rudely informed, as the waitress had previously told me, that this special was only on weekdays. I pointed out that the sign out front listed no exception but he was adamant. Fair enough. He got his two extra bucks. I've never been back and it's a standing joke; whenever we're deciding where to eat, the first choice is always Christo's followed by guffaws. read more

Terrible service. Their wait staff need customer service training. We were part of a large party and after everyone else received their plates, mine was missing. It was just a roast beef sandwich. I had to ask twice about my plate. Each time I was told it was coming and they were "very sorry." My plate finally arrived when everyone else was finished and I said to the waitress, "I assume this plate is free since everyone else is finished." She just stared at me blankly and said she would have to ask the manager and never spoke to me again about it. Really? You forgot to make my order and only remembered it when I asked about it.
