I had already chosen my "carved turkey Reuben sandwich", yum, when I first went at around 12:30-the line was out the door, so went to my appointment, hoping I could get back by the 230 close time. Returned at about 215 yay, and happily walked right up to the counter to order my lunch, when I was told they were out of carved turkey (the way the server explained it sounded like an ingredient in the Reuben was out, not the actual turkey. I asked if the "simple turkey sandwich" had carved turkey, and I was told no, it was deli meat-deli meat is so processed and unhealthy. I was super disappointed. So I opted for a Smashburger after asking how they liked it and she said it was "delicious". Well, it's not a Smashburger. It's a double burger on a nothing special bun. I was going to take the bun off and eat it with a knife and fork, and I was looking for those yummy crispy edges on a authentic Smashburger. They didn't exist. This was a double cheeseburger with very thick patties. I think they were grass fed so kudos to them for that,, but it was incredibly dry sadly, and when I saw that the bun had been toasted with butter, I put it back on and had a couple more bites, but was super disappointed-and trust me nobody loves a great cheeseburger more than I but now I love smash burgers as well!. I also ordered the Orzo cucumber and feta salad (as well as the french fries) on the side and while it was OK, it was nothing special. French fries were just meh. After all the stellar reviews I had I was very surprised that they would make a double cheeseburger and call it a Smash-burger-I wish these restaurants would stop doing that, it's misleading, other restaurants do this too. And for the money I spent, I should've just gone to Shake shack! I DO think it's worth a second chance, and I will say everybody there was very kind on the Service level and it's an adorable, really beautiful spot and vibe ! I strolled around and looked at the merchandise afterwards. So hopefully I'll be back but just super disappointed I didn't have a nice meal and left hungry.

The place is small and decorated in a traditional style. It's clean and the smell of the food cooking was PHENOMENAL! Finally a place with some spice in Asheboro. The butter chicken was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender and juicy and the sauce was amazing. The rice was flavored with turmeric and some other spices (biryani spice?) and it complements the butter sauce so nicely. The naan came with 2 pieces and it was light and fluffy perfect for dipping into the sauce. The only thing I would change on my next order would be to get a side portion of plain Greek yogurt to also eat with it because that is what I like but that's just me. The stuffed grape leaves were delicious as well. I forgot to take pictures. The portions are generous and the food came out fresh and hot. I highly recommend if you want something with some flavor. Can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu. It's not just Greek /Mediterranean food. The dish I had is Indian.

It reminded me of one of those awkward family meals you have to go to as a kid with your friends parents and their friends. The food was really, really good. It's definitely in an older house; parking is easy and you seat yourself. The house is definitely older and needs some work. We felt like we were eating in a quiet living room as there was no music or background noise other than other tables. There were definitely only two people working the day we went-one front of house and one back. There are several signs stating food takes time to prepare and it will come out as it's ready. They're not kidding. We ordered jerk chicken which was pretty spicy. The Mac was incredible as were the cheesy jalapeño hush puppies. It took about 50 mins for it to come out. The spicy roll was definitely spicy, and the baked roll had a nice flavor. We waited on those for a little over an hour. Definitely not a kid friendly place due to the wait times. Also no changing stations. It's a really nice concept and diverse menu!

Even when it's crowded it doesn't feel cramped. The staff is also super friendly and efficient. As far as the menu goes, I love having options that other fast food restaurants don't have. They have the good ranch which is unheard of for a fast food chain and the jalapeno ranch is on another level. My go to when visiting is always a burger add cheese, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. I love that they have sweet potato fries as a side item which I also always get. This order has never let me down. I always highly recommend dairio for anyone looking for a yummy fast option!

They are again offering a seasonal item, Chili Bean Soup - 12 ounces for $5.99, and includes sour cream and crackers! I added shredded cheese which was 50 cents additional. The chili has ground beef, black beans, pinto beans, chopped white onion, chili powder, other spices, and a touch of garlic. The chili is thick, and very flavorful , much more a stew than a soup, and I'll most certainly have it often as the temperatures turn colder. The shredded cheese added a lot to this dish, I'll double it on my next order, and ask for double the 4 saltines I received. The Chili Bean Soup, while flavorful, is mild. I added the contents of a packet of Texas Pete at various times as I ate. Between this soup and the Brunswick Stew at Honky Tonk, this is setting up to be a toasty fall and winter!

Happened to drive by Ring of Fire Grill and noticed all of the cars parked out front and thought I would give them a try. I have eaten there three times now in less than a month. The food is gooooood and so is their sweet tea! First visit -tried the Reuben Sandwich with fries. It was a perfect Reuben! The Rye bread was fresh and tasty with the perfect ratio of cheese, sauerkraut and corned beef. Served hot with hot crispy crinkle fries that were lightly seasoned. Second visit -tried the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Wrap with fries. It was served HOT with hot crispy crinkle fries with a side of Ranch to pour over your bites. The wrap was a GENEROUS portion, served cut in half. The grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The wrap has cheese, bacon, grilled chicken, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and onions. The ranch is HOMEMADE and is the best ranch I've had in the area. The sandwich is the best sandwich I've had since coming to the area (Asheboro/Randelman/Ramseur). I've been trying a lot of the locally owned and operated places too. Nobody is even coming close in quality and taste (sandwiches) to Ring of Fire! Third visit, had one of the daily specials. It was a Hibachi Chicken Wrap with fries. Again, the crinkle fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich again was a GENEROUS portion, served hot and cut in half. The wrap had juicy grilled chicken, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, fried rice, and cheese in it. It was served with a white mayonnaise based sauce that was really good. This hibachi wrap is the 2nd best sandwich in the area that I've had so far. The young man behind the counter is super friendly, professional, helpful and I watched him help an elderly lady with her walker to get through the front door which shows he is also KIND. An attribute that is lacking in today's world. Last, I noticed cleanliness. This is a clean and organized restaurant. It's not fancy. All paper, plastic and styrofoam service ware. People who come here return often, some daily. That should tell you something. I forgot to take a picture of the Reuben sandwich, sorry.

There is limited seating inside, and some outside. We sat outside and it was great to eat outdoors in warm air after a long winter. The location is at the very end of a strip mall, near a secondary road. It's not overly bothersome, just be aware that it's not quiet sitting outside. The service was friendly, despite being super busy. She brought our food outside to us when it was ready. We ordered hibachi chicken with rice, chicken with noodles, and chicken tenders with fries. The hibachi chicken and rice was okay 3/5. The noodles get 0/5. The chicken tenders were huge and get a 4/5. This probably explains why all of the locals were eating burgers and all day breakfast (reminder to listen to the locals!) My youngest son said it looked like "a hole in the wall Chinese food place" inside - and he's right. Inside there's stacks of plasticware, napkins, and yum yum sauce next to the grape jelly. It was an okay lunch, but if we came here again we would get something other than hibachi.

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. You will have a wait when you get there, and you…read morewill wait no matter how long it takes. You cannot find a better place for a meal, or more kind folks running the place from top to bottom. And if your plate is too big to finish, feel free to take it home, because you'll want to save room for dessert. Magnolia 23 is a staple in our household. So long as we've lived within a 30 minute drive, it has been a great place for a Sunday lunch, or any other meal within the hours they are open. They treat you like family from the very start with the way that they take names for the line. It's natural to start a conversation with the people around you, because everyone has the same end game - a great meal. Once you're seated, it's never long before a waitress comes and takes your drink order. The menu for the day is posted on Facebook and written on the board on the wall, along with the sides and dessert options. There's no menus because it's a meat and two sides, plus a bread of either roll or cornbread. The seating is tables and chairs, although some areas have couches for seating, which is a nice change of pace. Today I got stewed beef with sides of mac and cheese, yams, and bread choice was cornbread. My other half got the country style steak, with sides of cabbage and rice with gravy, and bread of cornbread. The littles shared a fried chicken plate with side of mashed potatoes with gravy. They divided and conquered their food so fast I forgot to snag a picture of it. The stewed beef was perfection. So tender, and the juices went well with the cornbread. The yams were expertly spiced, and prepared with so much love. The mac and cheese was delicious, so I offered some to my youngest who promptly stole the rest of it. I did sample the country style steak, and it was so delicious that none was spared. I cannot wait to eat my leftover stewed beef later this week, as I knew I wanted to save room for dessert. We ordered two fried apple pies, and a slice of Hershey bar cake. Be careful with the fried pies - the filling turns into molten lava when heated, so despite the fact that you'll want to take the largest first bite, please be patient and spare your taste buds from their imminent demise by letting it cool a minute. The spices on the apple filling on the fried pies were perfect, and I savored every bite that I stole from my husband. My dessert was the Hershey bar cake, which I split with one of my littles. It didn't have a thick layer of icing, which was great. The cake had a nice crumb, and was sweet without being overly sweet. If you haven't been here yet, make sure to take note of their hours and then take a trip to Asheboro. Once you've finished your meal, feel free to take a stroll around downtown and know that you've just had the best meal around. Magnolia 23 is worth the price and worth the wait, because you will be blessed by the whole experience.

We…read morespent $50 on a meal that none of us particularly wanted to eat, and the decline in quality was hard to overlook. My husband ordered the country fried steak, which appeared to be made from low quality ground beef and was covered in thick, gelatinous gravy. My daughter's chicken pie looked and tasted like it had been sitting around for days. It was dried out, bland, and had an unpleasant, almost gritty texture. My chicken and dumplings were passable, but only after adding enough hot sauce to give them some flavor. The sides tasted like they came straight from a can, and the rolls seemed no different from something you could pull out of the grocery store freezer section. I understand that operating a small, independent restaurant is challenging, particularly when costs are rising and customers have less disposable income. I genuinely want places like Magnolia 23 to succeed. But cutting corners on food quality while continuing to charge prices that represent a meaningful expense for a family is not a sustainable solution. What bothered me most wasn't any single dish. It was the overall impression that quality and value are no longer priorities. This didn't feel like a kitchen having an off night. It felt like a fundamental change in what the restaurant is serving. The dining room was nearly empty, and unfortunately, after tonight, I can understand why. When families choose to spend $50 eating out, they deserve a meal that feels worth the expense. We certainly didn't get that tonight. I hope Magnolia 23 can find its way back to what made it good in the first place. I'd much rather support a local restaurant than a chain, but supporting local businesses shouldn't mean accepting poor quality food at a premium.
