Extremely unprofessional booking practices over the phone. I was a patient of Dr. Ferguson's for years. I've only seen Dr. Kassar's assistant once. I have an infection in my mouth. I just want to know when the next available time they could see me. She told me I had to go get a Covid test before she would even discuss when the next available time was. What an absolute waste of time that would be. I am getting a new doctor now. read more

Dr. Ferguson was my doctor for many years and I inherited Dr. Kassar. Lucky for me! Dr. Kassar is a very good doctor, he mixes new medicine and old in a very resourceful way! My daughter had some fainting spells and I wanted testing done, She not only referred us to some of the best doctors but also shared her experiences with her own children which made me feel right at home. I made an appointment to establish a new doctor. Unfortunately they are off to a bad start, while I was looking forward to meeting him, his staff failed to properly make my appointment. I was told to come at said date & time, when I rearranged my work day to come they said they did not see my appointment... it's too bad the doctor will not know his staff is turning away patients. Dr. Kassar took over the practice of our retired Primary Care Physician. Changing Doctors after 26 years is difficult, but Dr. Kassar put us at ease during both my and my Husband's initial visits. He was easy to talk to, and he was comprehensive and thorough at our appointments. We are very happy with his knowledge and his pleasant manner. I've never given review for a medical professional before so, this could get fun. Huge fan of all the Kassar family of medical practitioners as one delivered 2 of my angels - another was their pediatric for awhile - but Dr Christopher man ole man did he Dr the $h!t outta my medical situation. I've had a blatantly distrust of Dr's since I was 7-8 years old- went in with a sore throat left with 5 prescriptions from ADHD, anti depressants, anxiety, restless leg syndrome and touch of bubonic plague. Now let me clear, I'm fully whacked with ADHD, struggle with depression, anxiety, restlessness, feeling overwhelmed and I am either in the -"sleep is for the weak" camp or "sleep for a week" camp. Dr Christopher takes a whole health approach and maaaaaaaan where as that been? During my at home treatment I had clear and understandable things to work on - working out- eating better- regular, consist sleep schedule- finding a hobby I enjoy- but you know what I didn't have?!? Meds pitched to me like a timeshare opportunity. They were discussed and are still a viable option as proper usage of medicine is absolutely helpful. But as my ..... yup My Dr told me not all meds are meant to be forever! Ok fine here's the normal stuff - - staff is absolutely awesome, caring, understanding and seek to be helpful and I have already experienced them going above and beyond in my 3 weeks as a patient - Dr Christopher listens, he asks questions.... but not interrogation status ... seeking to find how he can help, his "bedside" manner is wonderful, he discusses what he has diagnosed and presents options in non-biased ways, he wants to help, he has found his life's purpose and it is evident by his demeanor, approach, the way his staff emulate him and project the same desire to help me/you/us. I have been going to Dr. Kassar's office since 2009...(it was formally the office of Dr. Ferguson). My husband goes as well. We both highly recommend Dr. Kassar...in particular we recommend his PA Raquel Henderson. Infact I see her most of the time. She is always prepared and up to date with my history, answers all of my questions thoroughly, and never makes me feel like she is in a hurry! I am so thankful for this practice, especially the PA Raquel Henderson. She is the only doctor I choose to see. She cares about her patients and she is truly an amazing doctor to my entire family. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer she would check in to see how she was feeling and if she needed anything. She even came to check and make sure that hospice was taking good care of her. She promised my mom that she would take care of her family and she is keeping that promise. My father had a stroke and I had no idea what to do. I called her right away and she calmed me down and told me exactly what I needed to tell the doctors. She came to the hospital that night to check in on not only my dad but my brothers and myself. She is the only doctor that my dad trusts and will go see. When I had a scary blood pressure experience she made time for me in her busy schedule to make sure I was ok and to find the source of the problem. She covered all bases and when she wasn't satisfied with the basic answers from specialists she went above and beyond to find answers for me. She checked in on me and made sure I went to see all the specialists she set up for me. Thanks to her I am happy and healthy. Raquel Henderson is not only an amazing person who truly cares about her patients but she is an even better doctor. not a good staff husband wanting to have his bp checked he is on a new medication bp had gotten very high on it. office staff said no come back in a month. takes minutes to check bp and ease his mind. awful he needed a prescription they had him go to the pharmacy then have the pharmacy call the office then have him go back to pick it up most offices send in the prescription via internet. I had such a terrible experience with Dr. Christopher Kassar and his office that I was just going to keep my mouth shut and find a new doctor, but I felt I had to let others know. I found Dr. Kassar because my original primary doctor moved his practice to Los Angeles. The reviews on Yelp for Dr. Kassar were limited, so I took a chance and changed my insurance group over to see him for my annual January physical. I waited longer in the patient room for Dr. Kassar to come in, than the actual time the physical lasted. He did not have me undress, which was my first red flag that this physical examination was not going to be as thorough as all of my prior physical examinations have always been. He spent more time telling me about dangers "out there" i.e don't drink and drive, don't mix alcohol with prescription drugs and don't take prescription pills from strangers etc.... then he did actually checking my body. I am almost 40 years old not 18, I didn't come here for a high school lesson. After the pathetic physical examination I got, I left my appointment not satisfied at all with the time and attention that I got from him. So I went to LabCorp the following week and they drew my blood and told me I was free to leave. I asked them why they did not do a urine test as well (every physical I have ever done in the past has always included both a blood and urine test) and they told me that a urine test was not requested on the lab work by my doctor. I called Dr. Kassar office right away on 1/23/19 to find out why he did not include a urine test on the lab work and the lady (I wish I wrote down her name) first gave me a b.s answer that "most" insurance company's don't always cover the urine test. WHAT? After I told her that I have had the same insurance company for 15+years and I have never had to ask for a urine test as part of my annual physical, she then told me that I should have asked for both tests to be on the lab work. HUH? I told her that I pay thousands of dollars a year for health insurance, which only covers 1 physical examination a year and that I shouldn't have to ask for anything and that the doctor should request any and all available tests to make sure I am in good health! Finally she agreed to just mail the urine lab work to my house so I could go back to Lab Corp to do the urine test. Of course the lab work was never mailed to my house like she told me it would. I called back on 2/4/19 to request it again and they told me it was already mailed out, but that they would re mail me the lab paper work. Of course the lab work was never mailed to my house for the 2nd time! I called back on 2/12/19 to request it for a third time and she told me that it was NOT mailed to me because Dr. Kassar said I didn't need to have a urine test and that it only detects bladder infections. SERIOUSLY? First off, they lied to me both times telling me that they mailed the lab work full knowing they never did and now the Dr. is pushing back and says that there is no need to take the test. I have never seen such unprofessionalism before from a doctor and staff. **UPDATE** I finally received the lab work and took the urine test on 2/19/19. It is 3/5/19 and I still haven't received my results (I received my blood work results within a week). It looks like they are playing games with me. Please don't waste your time with this guy, he's obviously new to his job. Waste of a co-pay! Now I have to wait until 2020 for an actual physical examination! read more

This physician had extremely sensitive and urgent test results that needed immediate attention. He failed to tell his patient the results even though she stopped by his office to get them nor did he call her with the results throughout the day. He was called after hours (shortly after 5 p.m.) by the patients advocate who offered to fax, email, or even text the results and he refused to take them even though he was notified the patient only had 24-48 hours to appeal the treatment decisions based on these results and this occurred on a Friday. Dr. Kassar has delayed the treatment of this patient from the onset because he obviously doesn't have the knowledge of what needs to be ordered and the timeframe of when & what kind of testing needs to be done. Don't risk your life waiting on this "physician"! read more

Dr. Kassar is great but I'd highly advise against Raquel the PA. I brought my daughter in to discuss sensitive issues and she was unprofessional and rude towards me, her mother. I found her behavior highly bizarre and uncalled for. I switched my teen daughter to a different doctor. read more
