Dr. Pevsner has been my PCP for over a decade. I consider myself to be a pretty high-maintenance patient with quite a few health issues that have developed over the past few years. I have always appreciated his warm and patient bedside manner and how much time he takes to actually listen to my issues. He speaks to me like I am an actual person, and doesn't just spit out medical jargon for five minutes and leave the room. I have never felt uncomfortable walking into his practice like I have with other doctors in the past. He has always been proactive in referring me for lab work, imaging, specialist treatment, you name it. He has also gone above and beyond to assist me during a difficult time when I was on disability. His staff is very helpful and his office manager Shanon has been an absolute angel. I've never had medical staff be so accommodating to my needs. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, I have been kicked onto a different insurance and can no longer see him. My new insurance is subpar, and I have spent the last six months trying to find a decently rated PCP who can schedule me in for an appointment without a 3-6 month wait or doesn't push me off onto their physician's assistant or student doctor for care. I actually feel a little worried for my health because I cannot access proper care these days. It makes me realize that I had it really good with Dr. Pevsner and his staff. If I could afford to pay cash to continue seeing him, I would. I wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for decent care. You will be in good hands. read more

I don't like giving him a low review. Dr Pevsner is a great doctor. What isn't great is the office itself. I had an appointment today that had to be rescheduled because they don't accept AMEX. There is an error with my debit card on my banks side. I've used AMEX at every other medical office I've gone to. My wife has never heard of this happening before either. Apparently Dr. Pevsner is a good doctor, but good luck actually trying to see him. This review is for the POORLY run office. My fiancé had an appointment a month ago at 3 pm. He didn't actually get into a room until 4 and he waited in the room another half an hour before the doctor walked in. What is the point of getting off of work early and braving traffic only to sit and wait for hours when you have a scheduled appointment? He subsequently had a blood test so he made a follow-up appointment for 4 weeks later with the doctor so that they could discuss his results. He even got this nifty appointment reminder card. Fast forward to today, his follow up appointment. While driving to the appointment he called to let them know he was running a couple of minutes late only for them to tell him he doesn't have an appointment and they can't see him today because the doctor is booked up for the remainder of the year. Hmm that's funny. This office needs a better manager. This is people's precious time and this money that you are wasting. Not cool. Would NOT recommend. read more

When I got married to my husband, we were deciding who I would go to as my primary doctor. No questions asked, he told me his doctor is the best hands down. I couldn't agree more! The staff is always so friendly to me, and I feel as though we have built a relationship over the times I have come in. You may wait, but all good things come to those who wait! I love the care and quality that Dr. Pevsner puts into his patients. He doesn't rush you and he listens to your needs. I drove 45 min (each way) to take my 95 year old father and legally blind mother for their 6 month check ups today. They each had an appt. With Dr William Pevsner ...One at 2:30 and the other at 3. We arrived on time at 2:20 and were told to "sign in and set down and we will be right with you".. They were not busy was only 1 other patient in the waiting room.. my parents patiently waited for 45 min. With no updates acknowledgement or any words. After the long silent 45 min. Wait the receptionist approached my mom and dad with pages of paperwork to fill out (that should have been given to them upon arrival) that they could have filled out during the long wait. Mind you.. All of this paperwork had been previously filled out 6 months ago on their first initial visit. My 95 year old father can barely walk or set for long periods of time due to a bad back and very weak legs.... my mom had called the office this morning with concerns that my father was not doing well this morning and feeling extremely weak and having difficulty walking.. when they did arrive There was no compassion, no empathy or sense of urgency to his level of pain or discomfort. My father decided to go home because he could no longer wait after the 45 min..and it became very overwhelming by that point to have been given all of the paperwork to fill out .. My mom explained this to the staff but they did not seem to care or offer any solution or assistance . After we left very disappointed, frustrated and upset my mom called them on the phone to explain why we had to get up and leave... with no compassion or apologies they asked if we wanted to reschedule.. Note today is 5-12 and the soonest opening is not until the end of July! .. there was no "I'm sorry" or please come back and Dr will do his best to see them sooner ... no acknowledgment whatsoever. The staff has no common sense in noticing the state of my father even after my mother had previously called them.. or acknowledging the very silent and long wait . Their last visit 6 months ago the Dr left him in his room after waiting 30 min.... Dr. Pevsner came back in stating oops he forgot about him because he had gone outside to speak to his landscapers!!! I don't know how this place can stay in business treating its patients in such a thoughtless aloof manner. They both had all of their bloodwork done last week ( both diabetic) and learned nothing today of their results. We will be complaining to their insurance company about this and finding a new Dr, it is so sad that their last Dr they had for 30 years that retired , never had these type of issues. This is so unacceptable and I highly recommend you finding a more competent and compassionate place for your health and well being. read more

Dr. Pevsner is a amazing! After having covid I had a reaction and developed a strange rash. Two other doctors barely looked at the rash and said I had ringworm but Dr. Pevsner fully examined me, and asked questions. He explained that most Drs. would say it was ringworm but in fact it is pityriasis which simulates ringworm but is caused by a viral infection. Dr. Pevsner put me at ease, educated me, told me how to treat it, and sent me on my way. I never feel hurried or rushed in his care and when I needed a emergency attention for my mom he took great care of her. I couldn't ask for better from a physician and grateful we still have some good doctors around! I highly recommend! read more

Have not updated my review for awhile.. I first must compliment the AMAZING Dr. And staff as always!! As you walk in your always greeted with a welcome and big smiles, such wonderful people! The staff will work with you on getting you seen as soon as possible, you may have a little of a wait but you have to remember they are squeezing you in to be seen on short notice.. But well worth the wait! I have read some reviews that have been written lately and I feel so sorry for the troubled lady that seems to be having issues.. I love the Doctor but in the last 3 times I been there I had to wait over 2 hrs to see him. I have appointment and still had to wait that long. They should be more consider of patients time. I understand that we cannot be seen right away but 2 hrs after seems a bit too much. read more

I was shocked to see the 'crazy talk' review by someone named Jennette. She obviously has serious personal issues, and I hope she is able to get appropriate care. In fact, Dr. Pevsner and his whole office team are just terrific. They always work with you to help, no matter how hectic their schedule. So much of medical care nowadays feels impersonal and uncaring - but that is never the case with Dr. Pevsner or his team. He is both an excellent Doctor and a wonderful person. I highly recommend him! BTW, I believe I would have died from COVID - the first outbreak, before vaccines were even released - were it not for the dedicated care I received from Dr. Pevsner. My appointment time was 4:00pm, it is now 4:46pm and I'm still sitting in the lobby. When I inquired about how much longer at 4:20pm, the lady in front said I had 2 more patients in front of me, I look at her and she looked at me. She didn't care that I left worked early to make the appointment and that I have to pick up my daughter at 5:30pm. Still waiting, will be my last visit to this office. Dr. Pevsner has been my physician for over 25 years and I owe my life to this doctor. As I said once before in 1995, Dr. Pevsner felt a lump on my neck during a physical check up and referred me to a ears, nose and throat specialist who scheduled and removed the lump. The lump mass biopsy indicated the cancer had metastasized from my right kidney. I was referred to UCLA Kidney Center by the ears, throat and nose specialist who I am also grateful for. My right kidney was removed and I underwent interleukin 2 treatments as suggested by the UCLA Physician who was astounded that Dr. Pevsner had found the lump and referred me to a specialist to examine. I am so grateful to this excellent doctor who "saved my life." read more

I have to have a primary dr because of my HMO. I picked Dr Pevsner because he is in the same building with my specialist. There is always atleast an hour or longer wait. The first time I saw him, he said there is nothing I can do for you. I was in the hospital for my leg the next week for surgery. The next time he was to busy trying to get his computer working. The last time I went in for sever stomach pain and was not sure if it was the medication I was taking. He kept saying I was constipated and sent me for test for acid reflux. I tried to tell him I was already diagnosed for that. He does not listen and doesn't seem to care what is wrong with you. I have to keep him because the insurance says I need a primary. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Pevsner for almost 3 decades now. He is a wonderful doctor who has saved me three times because of his attention to detail during my exams. The first time was his early detection of a tumor in my pancreas. He wasn't satisfied with what he was seeing in his exams, so he sent me for more specific testing which found the tumor. The tumor was removed before any horrible results. The second time was during an exam of my skin and he found a mole that he didn't like. He removed it and the biopsy turned out to be a Melanoma. Once again, because it was caught early, I didn't need any chemo or other advanced treatments. The last time was when he did the early testing on my prostate because of problems and found the cancer. I visited Dr. Pevsner's office this morning for the second time. My wife and I found him on Yelp and we decided on him based on the good reviews and that we were looking for a Doctor of Osteopathy. The staff was friendly and helpful, the nurse in particular who took my blood pressure before Dr. Pevsner saw me was great by asking me questions, making small talk and helpful in finding me find a pharmacy near my place to pick up my perscription. Just felt she did above and beyond what I expected. This has been my first experience with a DO doctor and I really felt comfortable seeing Dr. Pevsner, he came across sincere and honest by asking lots of questions, giving me feedback and methods to improve what I was in there for. I hate going to the doctor's and still do but going to Dr. Pevsner makes seeing the the doctor suck less. read more

I've been a patient here for a year and a half and am totally blown away with the quality of health care this Doc and his staff provide. The wait time has been sporadic; sometimes good, sometimes not so good. You have to wait at any doctors office, so I might as well get good service. Dr. Pevsner takes the time to actually listen to you and deal with the reason you came to see him about. He is very knowledgeable and accessible. His office manager (Shannon) is awesome as well. She runs a great office and makes navigating all the medical stuff much easier; she's been a huge help. Overall, this is the best Dr.'s office I've been to ever. He's been out doctor for about 10 years now. The doctor & staff are very friendly and helpful. I like that when he gives me the diagnosis for my problem he will explain it in terms I understand and not just the medical terminology. If I still have questions after he's explained it to me he will give me a more detailed explanation. I like that he never makes me feel like I'm stupid for not understanding. On a busy day expect to wait, the longest I ever waited was 1/2 hour. read more

I will start off by saying that the staff is GREAT. They work with you and they listen to you. The doctor on the other hand, doesn't really have an interest in what you're telling him. He had nothing in his records from past appointments. He upped my medication dose for no reason, but doesn't own his mistake. He says he is going to send a prescription in and you have to call the office back a few more times to remind him. I told him that I had a severe allergy attack and he said he wasn't really concerned about it. Not exactly what I thought he would say! He prescribed me Epi-Pens and said he would call them in...Its been almost a week and nothing has been called in. His computer was running slow and he cussed because he was upset. I love Dr. Pevsner and all of his staff! My husband, son and I have been going to him for 2 years and he is GREAT! If you are very sick the staff will always do their best to squeeze you in and if not the wait is usually only a few weeks out. The staff will go out of their way to help you! You can leave messages for the staff and they always call me back within a half hour with a answer to your question. And you can also call and leave messages for Pevsner directly and he will call you after hours. I will never go anywhere else! read more

Dr. Pevsner has been my GP for a good portion of my life. Great attitude and knowledge, he makes you feel comfortable about any issues. His staff is friendly and warm. They care about you more than just billing your insurance and says a lot these days. The only trade off for all the great service and attention is the amount of time you spend during office visits. I followed him from hacienda height to diamond bar and now in San Dimas... his office manager Shanon is amazing always on top of authorizations that need to be done and returns calls promptly. In the beginning the doctor was great! He even took an emergency call from my wife on Thanksgiving morning when I was very ill. After moving to San Dimas he didn't seem to care as much. My wife went to him because she couldn't function properly. She couldn't get out of her bed. Instead of maybe sending her for a few simple tests his diagnosis was "take her to Vegas". We were confused by this. The next doctor sent her out for a few tests and found out that her thyroid was dead and had to be removed. He also missed my sky high blood pressure and I ended up suffering a stroke. Great job doc. read more

I have a cyst on my hand and could not get an appointment that is convenient for me. Sorry, I work and sometimes schedules do not jive.
