My husband and I have been a patient of Dr. Pevsner for over 13 years. Dr. Pevsner is exceptionally understanding, considerate, knowledgable and flexible. He made the point to let me know he is always available when needed, showing compassion for his patients. Dr. Pevsner always takes his time, I never feel in a rush at my visits. He has a amazing office mgr Shanon who is incredibly helpful with last minute appointments and answering any questions you may have. Shanon always goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you are a satisfied patient, even when I call afterhours. His staff always welcomes you with a smile, and are very dedicated people. Im super selective about my doctors and it took a while before I decided Dr Prevner would be who I saw for my annual physical. I chose him because his reviews all said he takes time to converse with you about your health concerns and questions. I wish that were true for my case as well but it wasn't. First of all the building is dated but that's not the end of the world. Next the wait was way too long for my liking but I tried to get over it by understanding he likes to be thorough with patients which I can appreciate. However I must have caught him in an off day but he sped through my appointment despite some health concerns I had and I had to chase him down the hall as I had follow up questions. One of them being about a med I wanted to know his opinion on. He said "yeah sure you can take that it won't hurt ya I'll fall in a script." Well he never called in the script and I'm here left feeling like I got cheated out of a good experience that everyone else has gotten. Alas my search for a good GP continues... read more

Dear, dear, Dr. Pevsner. I found you via Yelp, and yet your staff suspects you don't even know about your record here. How lovely that you're not just fishing for good reviews! Like I said, I selected Dr. Pevsner today to help me with this wicked cold (or possibly flu) I'm experiencing, and my experience today was highly consistent with what others have said--a doctor who takes his time and makes you feel like a person. Now, there were some flaws--like when he started talking to me for about 10 minutes about his visit to my home county up north, for a triathlon, as well as the retirement opportunities up there--and then nearly forgot to give me the throat culture he planned on because of it (but remembered before I was out of the exam room; I'm pretty sure this is a virus anyway, so I'm not so worried). He also said he was going to call in an antibiotic to be used prophylactically, as I'm prone to sinus infections, but it apparently never materialized at my pharmacy--perhaps he changed his mind, after coming to the same virus-related conclusion I did. No big, though; I'm pretty sure it won't be necessary. All told, I was there for about an hour and change, most of which was spent waiting (as others have mentioned), but I still hold Dr. Pevsner in high regard for his patient-centric, un-rushed methods--a doctor I feel is worth waiting for. read more

Dr. Pevsner has been my doctor for 18 years, he and his staff have always been awesome. The long wait to see the doctor is worth the personal attention I get when it is my turn to see the him. Where to start.... Well I have been going to Dr. Pevsner for well over 8 years if not longer. I can honestly say Dr. Pevsner is an amazing Physician and his office staff is extremely professional. Shannon, the Office Manager goes above and beyond should you have any questions. She is very sweet and will go the extra mile to find any information you are looking for and takes the time to explain the information. Tara is also amazing, she is also professional and does an amazing job calling you to remind you of your upcoming appointments as well as providing you with any paperwork you may need. Alexis is also very professional especially when taking your vitals. Dr. Pevsner dedicates his time and knowledge to all his patients. The wait time to see Dr. Pevsner can be a tad bit long however, I would rather wait a while in order to have all my questions answered by Dr. Pevsner rather then waiting less then ten minutes and only to be seen for ten minutes. Dr. Pevsner's office is not only professional but, it is also a family oriented practice. Dr. Pevsner's office is the true epitome of what a medical practice should consist of. I would highly recommend this office to anyone in the San Dimas area looking for a Primary Care Physician. Just make sure to call and ask first hand if Dr. Pevsner is accepting new patients or not. read more

Been coming here for a couple years now. My old doctor would never ever seen me when I needed to see her same day, or following day. Every single time I have called this office for a non emergency matter, but need to been fairly quickly(infections or intense pains) they have ALWAYS made room for me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that this office takes the time to care for their patients rather than tell them to go to an emergency room. Dr pevsner takes his time, makes small talk, and i've never felt rushed in his office. His staff is always SO nice. I love coming here. Thank you!! read more

I've had a terrible experience every time I visited this doctor. I went in to inquire about my chronic back pain , which later he decided was "normal". He refused to listen to any of my concerns and insisted that everything was normal despite the excrutiating pain that I am in. The follow appointment went worse than the first appointment. During the second appointment, at times it felt as if he was mocking me and didnt care about my well-being. He reluctantly recommended me to see a pain specialist but said it will take a few weeks for approval and so forth. Long story short, I do not recommend this doctor and I personally will not be going back. read more

Dr. Pevsner was rude and incredibly inappropriate. He came to my appointment 2 hours late. After showing up late he started the appointment by insulting me and what I studied in college. He then went on to make a terrible comment about the most beautiful country I have ever visited, Ghana. He also kept rubbing me which made me feel uncomfortable. After insulting me, he asked me what was going on but was not actually listening to me and did not want to examine the areas on my body where I said I was having issues. My best friend had to tell him to do his job, so that I can leave the appointment having some resolve for what was going on in my body. He did not put in my prescription the day he said he would and his overall attitude was one of disdain. All in all, he was racist, inappropriate, and down right mean. DO. NOT. VISIT. HIM. Everyone else in the office was extremely kind, but him, he deserves to be fired. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Pevsner's for over 20 years and highly recommend his devotion to the art of medicine along with his conversations and diagnosis that he's provided me over the years. I'm now a "senior patient" who as he says," has come a long way " from a freeway accident and subsequent treatment by the doctor. I just recently moved and do not know anyone to give me a referal, I found this guy online and made an appt. I had to wait ONE MONTH for a standard physical/checkup before I could actually see this guy. My appt was at 1:30pm and they did not bring me back into an exam room until 2:00pm. From there I had to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes before I was able to even see the doctor. He went through the exam and his bedside manner was so so, not too personable but not stone cold either. The main reason for my bad experience was that at the end of the exam he asked me if I had any additional quesitons, seeing as how I dont go to the doctor that often I did (which I had a list) I started going down the list and basically he said "this is taking too long, I have other patients, here's a perscription for drug X and reschedule an appt in 3 weeks" My jaw was on the floor! First of all, HE was about a half and hour late! So it was a pretty poor experience, not to mention I like getting help and advice for my medical problems not just drugs. read more

I went in to see Dr Pevsner after scheduling an appointment. When I arrived, I waited 1hr45 minutes for him until the clerk told me he was actually not in today, apparently he had left early for the day. This was horrible because I was feeling dizzy with heart palpitations. When I finally received treatment (at a different clinic) the EKG indicated a serious issue and we were lucky to catch it in time. When I stopped by to complain and transfer my records to the new doctgor, they actually tried to get me to pay for the missed appointment. I was outraged. Then, they couldnt even find my file, saying my name was no longer in the computer! read more

Dr. Pevsner has been my doctor for 18 years and I would highly recommend him and gladly follow him wherever he goes. I trust him with my health and life. In fact, if it wasn't for him I would not be alive today. On a routine checkup he discovered a lump on my neck and referred me to a specialist. Unfortunately the lump was cancerous and it was discovered that the primary cause was my right kidney which had already spread to the neck lymph node. When I went to UCLA for a second evaluation, the doctors there were amazed that my doctor had discovered the lump in the first place. I am grateful and credit Dr. Pevsner with saving my life. read more

My mom referred me to Dr. Pevsner and even though I no longer have insurance I pay cash just to be able to continue to see him. He is extremely kind, caring and professional. His office staff is always pleasant on the phone when I call with an issue or just calling to confirm an appointment. I can't find one thing I dislike about his office. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more
