The five stars is strictly for Dr. Burrows! He is by far the most compassionate, helpful care doctor I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable in western medicine and in natural medicine.. honestly I do not know what I would do without Dr burrows! 8 years with him and I hope he doesn't retire any time soon! Now ask for the answering service it is always a hit and miss but 90% of the time they are very extraordinarily rude and dismissive. Laura in particular, and I have dealt with her for many years and have never complained. But enough is enough why would you work in the medical industry if you have a zero compassion, customer service skill. I've read the other reviews and apparently I'm not the only one having to be treated so poorly. Obviously, I'll continue to come see Dr. Burrows. Very friendly staff, Dr Burrows takes his time with his patients and is very informative.

Dr. Burrows is just wonderful, he really listens and gives options other than just prescribing drugs. He makes you feel comfortable and explains things like the importance of using vitamins as a preventative measure before you need medications to fix issues you could've prevented. I can't say enough good things about him. My 5 star review is strictly for Dr. Burrows and his medical assistants. They are wonderful. The office staff that answers the phones are probably 2.5-3.5 stars. They don't seem to be very interested in getting you timely appointments, and are not very empathetic. If I didn't enjoy Dr. Burrows so much I would probably have switched my primary care office due to the older woman that answers the phone. The front office check in girl is nice and welcoming. Having worked in the medical field for years and teaching medical assisting at a private college I understand the frustration and irritation that comes with dealing with people that aren't feeling well and have short fuses. That is no excuse for poor quality of care and lack of empathy. Overall if your looking for a smart Dr with an amazing straight forward bedside manner, he is for you. I'm 84 years old. I have never , ever had such a wonderful, caring physician as Dr. Burrows. He listens to me ( which can take some patience sometimes! lol) and is common sense in his treatment. Dr. Burrows never listened to anything me or my husband asked. We had concerns. He suggested the carnivore diet. It made us worse. He said we did it wrong. We asked for referrals to other specialist he wouldn't He wanted to throw pills at the problem. We are just getting a new doctor because he never listened and would only spend 5 seconds in the room and say your fine and never address the problem. Just write a new prescription. read more

I do indeed like Dr. Burrows, however his name is on the practice and you are only as good as your weakest link. I went in for some weird cracking and fluttering in my ear. One of his PA's checked my ear and said it was a film on my eardrum,not wax but a film. Gave me a really expensive antibiotic ear drop to use for it. Upon using the drops the very first time my ear completely plugged to where I couldn't hear at all out of it. I used the drops for 4 days and not 1 bit of change other than complete silence in it. I quit using it as prescribed and slowly my hearing came back 2 days later, but back to the cracking noises again. I went back in for a follow up, this time with Dr. Burrows. He checked it out and said that I should consult an ENT. So I waited a few weeks to really think about it. During that time I received another bill in the mail from Dr. Burrows for extra charges. On top of my $45 copay they want more than my insurance pays for a standard office visit with a PA. Then a re-evaluation with Dr. Burrows for him to tell me that I should go see an ENT. They put times on my visit and tried to charge for that.... because I waited in your office for you you charge me 30+ minutes to see you for 5 of those minutes. This is all on top of each $45 dollar copay that was paid before each visit. Standard visits, nothing special. So today I go to a new Primary who I'm glad I did. 2 minutes into looking and talking about my ear, he said he saw something floating in my ear. Let's do a flush and see if I can wash it out he says. 1 1/2 syringes later out it came, a small piece of cotton from a Qtip and my ear is back to normal. What a joke Dr. Burrows I liked you in Glendora when it was just your small outfit. You should be ashamed of your staff. Billing department excluded. read more

For some, a doctor's honesty about making better life choices can feel offensive, but remember that he has only your best interests at heart. This review is not about Dr Burrows, but about his front staff. I have never been treated so poorly at a Dr.'s office in my life. The receptionist I have dealt with for the past three days, has been condescending, arrogant and downright rude. I was always under the impression doctors' offices were all about care and compassion - but unfortunately, this employee showed none of either. Dr Burrows, I hope you read this review-you will know which member of your staff I am referring to...because I see in these reviews, I'm not the only one who has had issues with her. I don't know where my husband and I would be if Dr. Burrows hadn't helped us when we came down with Covid. My own doctor of 15 years turned me away when I clearly had an infection in my lungs. Dr Burrows is a highly perverted and inappropriate man. He told me to drop my pants in front of him when I went in for a gynocological complaint. To my knowledge, patients aren't supposed to change with doctors staring at you in the room...male or female. Then his staff kept my Drivers license and said they lost it. I went back to reclaim it the next day and they told me to reissue a new one. Then, on top of the humiliation that I endured at his office, he actually wrote me a letter telling me that I wasn't welcome at his office anymore for being...get this..."inappropriate" but he didn't say what for. This is why I decided to come forward to write the review because he apparently has sex with his clients and when they refuse, keeps their IDs and issues them letters about it. What a great Doctor and fantastic staff! An all around great office! They have a new location at 1385 S. Grand Ave, just south of the freeway. This Doctor knows his stuff, he's caring, and treats you with great respect, much like a friend who really is concerned and wants to help. For months I had pain in my back, 4 other doctors put me through the ringer of tests, but never took care of the pain, just opted for a ton of expensive tests. Out of frustration and pain, I wanted a better doctor. Luckily, I found Dr. Burrows who thoroughly checked me out, found the pain, and within a few hours, my pain was addressed and on the mend. Why can't all doctors be like this?! Dr. Burrows should really be teaching these younger doctors how it's done! Dr. Burrows staff is equally good, caring, considerate, and really work to get you in to see the doctor. I appreciated their handling when I called in and said I was in pain. Even when I call and I'm not in pain, they are wonderful to talk with. Again, not a typical Dr. office, but one that really knows how to treat people and care for their needs! I especially like the fact that the doctors new office space is next to the urgent care offices for Glendora. read more

I saw a doctor Burrows after leaving the hospital with an autoimmune disorder. I needed to find a doctor close by, as I was very sick. Dr. Burrows did not take my condition seriously, and I believe he did not know how to treat me. Everything was a joke, and he kept calling me dude. My sugar level was 533, and he didn't know what to do. Later that evening another doctor from the office called me, and gave me a referral to an endocrinologist. A week later I decided to give him another chance as I was too weak to travel to Pasadena to see my old doctor . I had a small list with me to ask him some questions, and he told me straight out that he had other patients . I would never go back there again . I highly recommend if you need a doctor do not go there. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Burrows for about 10 years and have never had any complaints, however the past two years have been horrible. I haven't seen the doctor himself in probably three years it's always the NP that I see. I have made appointments in person and than when I show up a week later they didn't have me in the books. I also had to have some lab work done and it had to be done right away. They sent me to the lab and I got my blood drawn only to find out two weeks later it was the wrong test. They blamed it on the lab, however they should have noticed it was the wrong test when they got the results. They still made me pay for the new test even though they are the ones who messed up. The staff just doesn't seem to have it together. They lose information, don't really look at what it is you need done, and don't listen when you tell them that certain paperwork needs to be filled out a specific way. The only person that helped me was the girl in the picture. If it wasn't for her I would have left this office earlier! She was the only one after going back multiple times that listened to what I needed done and got back to me right away. read more
