The office staff was friendly, I wish I was followed up about a referral not being able to be submitted because of insurance problems, I had waited a few days as normal, called to follow up & they said I wasn't showing up the system & I should call my insurance to get it fixed. I wish that could have been a courtesy call before waiting thinking I was waiting for the approval. Dr himself is absolutely amazing! I've always had an issue with Dr's not letting me talk or explain myself, or them being so quick to jump to conclusions, I was honestly already anticipating a quick in & out visit but by my surprise, Dr Tomassian was thorough & gave me a chance to explain many things! Best Dr I've ever seen!! Unfortunately I changed my medical group to get good specialty care for OB but I wish I could keep him as my PCP & highly recommend him!! 10/10 read more

Maybe by writing a bad yelp review will the Billing manager contact us. My husband went in for his yearly physical which is covered at 100% if coded properly. He also had lab work done and both claims were sent in with a sick DX code instead. (Sick diagnosis codes will apply to our deductible!) When we first called your office we s/w Bertha hoping to avoid calling our insurance to get what diagnosis code you billed our claim with and Bertha couldnt find this to provide to us. Instead she asked us to email the Quest bill. In response we got this reply: "Hello, We reviewed the bill from Quest. In the blue box, it states the charges are from either a copayment, coinsurance or deductible. The codes we use are correct and should cover every test order. We don't check for laboratory benefits for insurances, we only check for office visit benefits. You would need to call your insurance to check the laboratory benefits you have with them." First of all I dont have any questions in regards to our benefits, we know exactly what our benefits are and all I needed was to get what diagnosis code YOUR office used to bill the office visit and also what diagnosis your office used on the lab order. You instead disregarded my email I sent on 11/14/23 so I went ahead and called our insurance and was told that the Preventative DX wasnt used. Today I called your office and again s/w Bertha and for some reason she knew right away to say you billed with a Z00.00, although that should be the correct DX used but its also a lie because our insurance confirmed that Z00.00 wasnt used. Im almost certain that when we emailed you that a preventative DX (physical DX) needed to be used your staff updated in your system but failed to send a corrected claim and also failed to advise quest of this update! Now this billing manager Nyree who should be overlooking this never reached out to us and is now on vacation for 2 weeks . We were relieved to have found a good Dr with good reviews and from the same country of my husbands, but if we have to deal with this type of poor billing practice then we definitely arent going back! read more

I rarely leave a bad review, but this one is important for people to know. I went to Dr. Shant for physical couple of months ago. They drawn blood there and told me that they will call to let me know the results. I waited for 10 days and no one called me. So, I called and inquired my results from the lab to be emailed to me. I waited and waited but no email. So, I called today to request them again and finally the receptionist emailed them to me. I went through the results and realized that my cholesterol is way out of range by 48 and my MPV (which measure the volume of platelets) was out of range by 12.8. Then I called them and I told the receptionist that my blood work is out of range and no one call to let me know. Then, she had the audacity to tell me "eat more veggies" for the high cholesterol and MPV is because of allergies. At that moment, I responded and said "I'm calling not because I need someone to tell me to eat more veggies, but I'm calling to understand why the doctor didn't call to communicate the results with his patient which is important. This is really unacceptable and it's a shame, so beware of this and make sure you check on your results and also research your results online by a trusted source of course to understand what you have. And finally, I will never come to this doctor again and will make to let everyone know my experience. read more
