Best PCP I've ever had. I've gotten at least 15 physicals in the past and not once did the doctors test my hormones. Dr. Baker did it on my first visit and it helped resolve some of my issues. You know you're at a good office when even the staff is happy & seem to love the doctor. Bedside manner from him and his staff is great. During your exam, Dr. Baker is focused on you & you wellbeing. Opening up the floor always for questions or to express concern. The only drawback is that receiving an appointment can be a hassle as he's popular and gets booked out. Upside to that is that you can always see one of his great PAs on staff. read more

I would give Dr. Baker "0" stars if I could. I went to see Dr. Baker because of mid leg pain, which is sharp, and some back pain. I brought with me an x-ray and ultra sound of my leg, x-ray of my low back, and my Dexiscan. He asked me a couple of health questions, then asked me to tell him about the problem. I told him that I was generally very healthy. I proceeded to explain the pain. All of a sudden, he said, "I know you are a controlling person, but I'm going to talk." I was shocked. All I was doing was explaining the pain in my leg and back. I stated that I was not a controlling person. I added that he asked about my pain, and I was explaining. Then he well, I let you talk." I'm going to talk." OMG! What an arrogant attitude. Maybe this doctor needs a lesson in bedside manners. He may speak to other patients in this manner, but not me. He's disrespectful. Then he said,Im going to have you do some x-rays. I said, "I've already had x-rays. He said, "And how am I going to get them." I replied. "Your receptionist had them." He said," Oh yea." Gee, what's going on here? Then Dr. Baker said, "I'll just send you to physical therapy."I had already told him that I had a referral for physical therapy. Finally, he said, "Well, I'll give you your options, but you won't want to do it. What a negative comment. I got the impression that since he couldn't get me to have more x-rays or cortisone shots, he was done with the visit. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. He is arrogant, disrespectful, and not caring at all, in my opinion. read more

I was looking for a primary doctor and I made an appointment because I had an urgent matter because I had a problem with my lower side of my stomach. I made an appointment with Katherine because Dr. Baker was not available at the time. I had an appointment and I made it prior to going in and I still had to wait 35 minutes after my appointment to be seen . I understand that they were busy, but if you have an appointment made, you should at least be seen no longer than 20 minutes after your appointment has been made for. Made me get an ultrasound done and my results were done the next day and they barely called me back three weeks later about my results. By this time, I already change practices and changed my primary doctor because that is completely unacceptable. I was really hoping to like this practice because it had good reviews on yelp, but this practice was very bad and had horrible service I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Let me fast forward to 02/09/2023 with a new review. I've gotta find both Dr. Baker and his Physician Assistant 'Cat' a CAPE. These two are my Dynamic Duo, and let me share why that is. I currently have medical coverage provided to me by Medicare (A & B) and my Advantage part 'D' supplemental coverage through United Health Care. After developing and suffering with the side effects from the prolonged use of both Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide, I was looking for a change. So next comes the good part. I know most if not all of you, have heard of NOVO-NORDISK and a medication they provide called "OZEMPIC" to help combat Diabetes and maintain a somewhat healthy blood sugar level. I was introduced to it and started using it back in December of 2022. The OZEMPIC prescription came with a Co-Pay of $40.00 a month, which I felt was reasonable, and I had it filled at my local CVS Pharmacy. Things were great except that, for the first time in my life, I would need to inject myself with a medication. And since as far back as who knows when I've hated needles. Thankfully, my wife offered to 'stick me' every Monday evening with the EpiPen it comes in and, Life was Good again. Except for the one time, I had to do it to myself. I hated that evening. However, come the month of I can't remember now, the cost of OZEMPIC skyrocketed up to about $485.00 and there was no way I would be able to afford or continue using it. I guess when those not suffering from Diabetes heard it could also be used for losing some weight, they caused a stampede and it almost was impossible for the Pharmacies to keep it in stock but I'm sure they loved the price hike. In time after Dr. Baker switched me over to using JARDIANCE, I got over the slight side effects and moved on. Well, let me tell you. I heard through the grapevine, that NOVO-NORDISK had developed a special program for those of us suffering from both Diabetes and the ridiculous inflated cost and they produced a program just for those like me who couldn't afford it. I approached Dr. Baker with the idea because the NOVO-CARE program is one you have to qualify for with documents that are prepared and submitted by both your Doctor and you the Patient which are then reviewed as you must qualify for this program in order to receive any help with the cost. My advice is to look into it if you're interested. If it weren't for Dr. Baker enduring the snags that came with all the round and round and back and forth that we went through with NOVO. I doubt it would ever have been approved. Furthermore, my true hero, after all, was said and done is 'Cat', who was instrumental in making it all come together. Without her help, this whole thing would never have crossed the finish line for me. I am thankful to Dr. Baker for joining me in this battle but, I am forever grateful and indebted to 'Cat' for jumping into the trenches with me at the end. Because of her, I will be saving thousands through the remainder of this year and hopefully next year too. Unfortunately, this program requires an annual enrollment, so we'll revisit this battlefield again come January 2024. Thankfully, we're season veterans the next time around. read more

Dr. Baker is amazing. Super nice and very good at what he does. The staff is very friendly and helpful. He even has his own x-ray machine so you don't have to go to another place to get x-rays. Blood work is done there as well, which makes it very convenient. Just overall the best doctor's office I have been too. Baker family practice is the best doctors office in our area. Dr.Baker truly cares about his patients well being and always listens to his/her concerns. One of, if not the best I've ever been to. Whole family has been with him for 7 years. For someone who's needed answers to aches and pains that created some anxiety, he never hesitates to help me out. He even had me come in over lunch one time to take care of an issue that couldn't wait. Always easy to get a hold of through the portal and even though his appointments can be booked out a week or so, his NP is just as solid. I'm not sure what I'd do if I didn't have him as a PCP, he's amazing and always accommodating to a PIA like me. read more

It is so rudiculous that you cant be late even if you call them to make them aware. They dont do that. They have no problem making you wait 40 mins or more after your appt time to be seen even when you are early. No compassion. The girl at desk is very rude and cold. I have been going to this doctor since the day I was born as well as my whole family and my grandparents. Growing from a child to adult I went in occasionally for updates which were fine, then I got a lump on one of my testicles and went in to ask if I should be worried, which Dr Baker replied in upset manner yes it's nothing to worry about like I was taking time out of his day obviously I came to a professional and would like to get a professional response but that didn't happen , then couple years go by and I start becoming depressed and was looking for help with that as well , went in for an appointment to talk about it, just to be treated as if I wasn't an adult ( 23 years old at the time ) and told that I shouldn't take anti depressants because of my age and because he thought I would use them for recreation which is the last thing you would like to hear in that situation and when he also prescribes your other family member for the same medications with no issue. The final straw was when I ran out of medication and called office and asked if it would be refilled and they said I would need to come in for check up which was fine with me just was upsetting because i had no prior knowledge of this and pharmacy kept telling they contacted baker with no response to refill and then Baker called me and informed me that "he is not my babysitter and that I needed another appointment to get a refill so I said OK and then he told me but not with him but with another physician. Moral of story if you want a Doctor who treats you and your family members with no respect this would be a great "Doctor" read more

Not that I love going to the doctors...but if I have to I'll go here. Sucks though, that I want to change to hmo because my insurance doubled, thank you unaffordable Obama care! Thought maybe it was a bad first impression but once again over the phone ridiculously horrible cutting me off and giving me attitude. I have great insurance, I had called ahead of time because it was my first time headed there. The NP and billing ended up being great and that is the only reason I am staying with this doctor. Long over due review. I've been a patient since he started and was a patient under his father also. Great family doctor as he and his outstanding staff throughout the 30+ years provided the best care for myself and wife. Leaving California in 2017 was painful for one reason and that was no more visits to Dr. Baker and his wonderful staff. One of the things I missed the most is chatting with him about rock and roll music. Mindy Funk, NP, a really great asset to Dr. Baker. Going to his mellow office and knowing your not like a Southwest Airline passenger. Seriously, I've been to other medical offices and all I felt like was a number (with excellent insurance coverage). I remember when he couldn't take new patients and a good friend of mine waited two years before he became a Baker patient. As being a new patient, Dr. Baker spends time with you unlike my last Medical Group I was with. His office staff is very courteous and professional. They brought me in before my actual appointment time. Dr Baker does a lot of things in house (xrays, bloodwork, castings) which is nice so I don't have to spend more time going to a separate blood lab and waiting for my results from another Lab group.
