I read all these reviews and just laugh. As I sat in the waiting room I just hear patients say, I just my pain meds refilled or get out of work paperwork filled out. I have know Dr. Betts since he treated my grandmother and last my mother who had been diagnosed by him and his NP - when no specialist wanted to help my mother because she had lower income medical insurance. Half of the reviews here are from people pissed because they didn't get what they want. At first Dr. Betts tried referrals that my mother really wanted. The managed care provider my mother had- had Tier 1 limited specialists who just brushed off my mother. Jennifer the NP took the time to walk me and my family through the reasons why this could be happening. Although we could not get the dialysis center, nor nephrologist of our choice upon the first or second visit. In time the Betts Group were able to get not only the dialysis center and nephro we needed, but approved meds that were also not covered by several steps to get coverage.
Next up my turn. Yes there were times I felt rushed by each provider on wellness visits, but after 30 minutes min in the room with them. I could see how these demanding patients below get ticked off by the littlest thing that don't meet their demands but probably in the end were granted or given by dr Betts after doing their jobs. I tried to get PCPs near my home in Glendale. No one, not any Dr was taking lower income state coverage but this practice. These providers are nearly helping people while no other provider is offering to help state funded coverage. What blows my mind is in the end when I got my new job, and my mom is now nursed to a better condition from the care of Jennifer and Dr. Betts, but I recently got private insurance, chose a closer PCP in my area for convenience. The practice I'm at right now advertises and has a wait to see the primary MD for 4-6 months out. I recently got a serious virus- no not Covid, but my current PCP would not see me for three weeks. I called Dr. Betts and Jennifer, after having a chart there and history with the practice they relieved the symptoms of ear fullness, and wheeze I had in under 48hrs.
Yes these people on here say Jennifer is rude, she is to the point and is not there to give people false hope. Others say Dr. Betts doesn't listen and can't hear. He is human, and he has served this community for three generations of my family. You try finding an MD who understands this field better than him.
I say good ridden to these unintelligent, selfish, angry patrons who have made some of the office staff feel badly from these reviews. You did this practice a favor and are hopefully with another provider who makes you wait 6 months when you are ill. You just freed up the schedule for my family.
Do yourself a favor- if you are angry take it out another small business was that doesn't serve the community that needs it. It's idiotic patients like the below who ruin good things. There is no human positivity just those who are angry which Yelp breeds that playground. Pretty nasty and sad.
I left my MD in Glendale and are grateful for the commute to see Jennifer and Dr Betts at least I know my life is valued by their expertise and they will do all they can to help me. read more
