Queso and chips

We ordered takeout and it was amazing. The cheese quesadilla was very flavorful, not sure what cheese they used, but it was delicious. Their queso and chips were literally still nice and hot when we got home. It was nice to have nice and smooth queso and crispy still hot and fresh chips. The service was friendly and fast. We were greeted with smiles. The restaurant is very cute with delightful music. We will be back for dine in soon.

Went to Christine's on the west side with our Y group Tuesday. Four of us had previously gone on Christmas and liked it so much we invited the rest of our group to try it. It was clearly a big hit. The menu is very diverse (Filipino, Mexican, American, and even breakfast). I enjoyed every aspect of my Filipino dinner. Every one raved about their food. I've been twice, and both times, I could not have asked for better service. Top notch! The food came out quickly both times, including when we had a party of 12. If you haven't been, please do? You will be happy with your choice.

Not well seasoned for my taste. Ribs and other meat products tasted different. We are from the south so it could be a culture thing. Enjoyed the atmosphere and place was very clean. Older crowd seemed like regular patrons.

I hosted 15 people at Christine's Casual Dining last Friday, and it was amazing, as per usual! We had our own private enclave, the waitress was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was spot on -- hearty American comfort food, like their epic meat loaf and mashed potatoes, authentic Filipino offerings, like pancit, eggrolls, and the luxurious halo-halo, Mexican and Italian offerings, like spaghetti and nachos, decadent desserts, and the creative combination meals (anyone up for a plateful of shrimp skewer, crab cakes, onion rings, and pancit?) All plentiful portions, made-from scratch, with an expertise that allows the great taste of each dish to shine. And served in a fun, upscale diner setting, with some playful decorations (I loved the welcoming alligator, and sign in the women's restroom, for example). All together, a fun experience, and a great reason to travel to the West Side (if you're not already lucky enough to live there)!

My daughter is on a mission to try small businesses. We live in KY but made the trek up to Christine's one evening during the week. It wasn't a bad drive, about 30 minutes. Friendly little restaurant much bigger than I thought it was going to be. Older but clean. Our waitress Paula was attentive. Kept our drinks filled. Food was brought out fast. The one thing you can say about this place is that you will NOT go away hungry. You can even probably split an appetizer and still be satisfied, you get THAT MUCH food. Interesting mix of choices - Phillappine, Mexican and American. A wide variety to satisfy a variety of tastes. We started with Philippine eggrolls. HUGE and a large plate of them, I think 8. Very tasty and filled with ingredients. My husband had the fish sandwich. He said it was good, fish was a tad bit overcooked. The tarter sauce was tasty. My daughter had the fish tacos and said they were very good. I had the shrimp fajitas and I am not kidding when I say it could feed 3 people. The plate came out smoking hot, literally smoking. A large plate of toppings and 3 tortillas. With so much fillings given to you, 3 tortillas are not enough, but I was going to take most of it home, so it didn't bother me. Everything tasted great. The desserts looked delicious, but we were so full there was no way we could try them.

Spinach salad with chicken.

We got there relatively early, a couple hours before Gabriela was set to open, but we managed to entertain ourselves before 3pm by indulging in the Vietnamese food stall right next to Gabriela's. Right off the bat, we were met with the kindest server! Our receipt said her name was Stephanie, I regret not asking for it while we were talking, but I'm 99% sure she's the one who took our order. I believe she also owns the food stall! Anyway, I loved the exterior of Gabriela's, the disco balls and the bright yellow all made me feel very happy to order from the food stall. My partner and I both ordered adobo, and the java rice was SO good. The flavor of the adobo was just like I remember, and while everyone makes their adobo a liiiiiittle different, I really loved the sweet, bold flavors that paired so good with the rice. We also ordered pork lumpia, and I kind of wish we got the beef just because we already had pork adobo, but it was still so good with the sweet chili sauce! To top off our experience (as if the wonderful hospitality wasn't enough,) Stephanie was kind enough to give us a sample of the skewers she was preparing for an event that was happening in town, which we weren't able to be around for just because we lived so far away. I will never forget such a sweet and memorable experience dining here!

I took mine with all the available toppings, which include peppers, onions, pickled red cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, cheese and sour cream, and it made for a substantial, very tasty and highly flavorful meal. Based on my rave, my friend later had the crispy tofu version and gave it two thumbs up. Service is quick and friendly.

Each person had about 3 entrees from the menu and everyone loved what they got. The owner came to our table out of curiosity because he said he's never seen a group like us order so much food and EAT ALL OF IT! Lol!!! We're from Seattle and we throw down! He was such a good person. He reminded me of my uncle or elder. He was talking to us about the history of chicken and where it originated from along with the sago dessert. Super informational.
