We made a reservation for a table originally for four people but had two additionally come with and they were very accommodating! Very clean and Very positive energy and vibe! Drinks cost pretty much what you pay at any bar! Didn't have any food but hopefully next time! The show was amazing and the staff were so great! If I could give 100 stars I would!

It's big bar with a dance stage, with big screens and TVs playing music videos. The drag pageant was a lot of fun, as the talent was entertaining...the show went by so fast! The beer selection was mostly domestics, hard ciders/sodas/seltzers. I was happy enjoying some New Glarus Spotted Cow and Moon Man. One thing that caught my attention was the fish bowl drinks. A bartender told me they don't have a special drink, it's basically any drink you want with more booze in it...was very tempted to get and old fashioned in a fish bowl lol. They serve food here too. Didn't take much of a look, but it seems similar to a lot of other bar food. I've had friends that go here for karaoke too. Overall it's a fun spot and would check it out again.

I really wanted to love Crucible. The location, parking, layout, and drinks are easily a 10/10,…read moreand it is genuinely awesome that Madison has a space supporting alternative and furry nights. Also you'll never find another location that lists three brands of absinthe to choose from. Unfortunately, the crowd on my visit suffered heavily from cliquishness. While I met several super chill people, too many interactions killed the vibe. Friendly, casual conversation--like complimenting someone's Halloween costume--was met with cold hostility and defensiveness, making it feel more like an unwelcoming, territorial high-school clique than an open community space. Additionally, as a Christian, walking in and seeing pentagram paintings hanging on the walls was moderately unfortunate. While I understand alternative venues lean into edgy aesthetics, it added to an underlying feeling that the club's 'inclusivity' has an unspoken boundary line. It felt less like a space that accepts everyone and more like a club that welcomes you--UNLESS you don't fit a very specific mold. It's a fun venue with great drinks, but the combination of a territorial crowd and satanic decor made it tough to enjoy. Not entirely the club's fault, but I hope they can work on fostering a more genuinely open environment.

Ok. We sat up front and having dinner the music was so loud we couldn't really talk and had to keep asking what each other said. I asked our waitress 3 times if they could turn it down just a little and she was very sweet about it and said yet but nothing changed...at all. It was almost like the bartender was enjoying 'his' music and he was going to do as he wanted. That is fine but if it comes to the detriment of your guests then that is a problem. Lastly, the drinks were really bad. One person got a beer and it was fine but I ordered a whiskey sour and it tasted like sprite, all sweet, hardly any background whiskey flavor and no foam and it was in a beer glass. One of us ordered a martini...really bad. Gin and tonic, horrible. She asked for a second one (we didn't ask to replace it, we were willing to pay for both) and she asked to have a smaller drink with less tonic by half...came exactly like the first one in a large glass. We paid for all. The bartender obviously was doing his own thing. No problem. Won't see us again.
