Ok. We sat up front and having dinner the music was so loud we couldn't really talk and had to keep asking what each other said. I asked our waitress 3 times if they could turn it down just a little and she was very sweet about it and said yet but nothing changed...at all. It was almost like the bartender was enjoying 'his' music and he was going to do as he wanted. That is fine but if it comes to the detriment of your guests then that is a problem. Lastly, the drinks were really bad. One person got a beer and it was fine but I ordered a whiskey sour and it tasted like sprite, all sweet, hardly any background whiskey flavor and no foam and it was in a beer glass. One of us ordered a martini...really bad. Gin and tonic, horrible. She asked for a second one (we didn't ask to replace it, we were willing to pay for both) and she asked to have a smaller drink with less tonic by half...came exactly like the first one in a large glass. We paid for all. The bartender obviously was doing his own thing. No problem. Won't see us again.

We made a reservation for a table originally for four people but had two additionally come with and they were very accommodating! Very clean and Very positive energy and vibe! Drinks cost pretty much what you pay at any bar! Didn't have any food but hopefully next time! The show was amazing and the staff were so great! If I could give 100 stars I would!

It's big bar with a dance stage, with big screens and TVs playing music videos. The drag pageant was a lot of fun, as the talent was entertaining...the show went by so fast! The beer selection was mostly domestics, hard ciders/sodas/seltzers. I was happy enjoying some New Glarus Spotted Cow and Moon Man. One thing that caught my attention was the fish bowl drinks. A bartender told me they don't have a special drink, it's basically any drink you want with more booze in it...was very tempted to get and old fashioned in a fish bowl lol. They serve food here too. Didn't take much of a look, but it seems similar to a lot of other bar food. I've had friends that go here for karaoke too. Overall it's a fun spot and would check it out again.

We went for $5 pho *drool*, on Wednesdays, and lemme tell ya, it was gooooooood. Along with the…read morefried pork egg rolls, *drool*. Typical condiments provided: side of basil, chopped jalapeños and bean sprouts; jars of peanut butter, fish and oyster sauce, garlic chili sauce. It wasn't too busy but the bartender did tell us the place gets packed with students after 7-8p for that cheap, delicious pho. There's a menu of a few SE Asian dishes ++ that we'd like to come back and try (e.g. laab, papaya salad). There's also plenty of options for burgers, wings and fried goods ;) Didn't really ask about the beer. The other half had spotted cow (comes in tap and bottled). The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and conversational 5+ The description of this place is under 'dance clubs'. Which is accurate because there is a dance floor. Didn't stay long enough to dance the night away. There's also the bar, separate seating area, and pool tables. Overall, really good pho and fried egg rolls; excellent service; fun and causal vibe. Unrelated note: next door, Terry's, has gyros! Who knew. And supposedly it's pretty good.

Decided to try this place as they are now associated with the "Juicy Shrimp Shack". Where do I…read morestart? First, the place isn't very welcoming, kind of like going into a barn. Service was OK, but not exceptional. The food - Shrimp Po Boy was pretty good. The shrimp boil was not. The boil is brought to your table in a plastic bag - no plate, no boat or bowl for the shells, no utensils. They do give you some cheap plastic gloves, which if used, make it quite difficult to peel the shrimp as they are slippery. The shrimp was cooked OK, but lacked flavor. I ordered the "House" sauce, "Hot". Not sure if they brought me the correct sauce as it was quite "garlicy" and had very little heat. The flavor of the sauce did not pair well with the shrimp and really didn't flavor the actual shrimp much. The shrimp was head on and not deveined, for anyone interested. There are no sides included with the boil. If you order the boil, a side of fries will cost you a minimum of $5.99. When they give you your bill, they have already added a tip and a charge for paying with a card. Maybe service would be better at some of these places if servers had to earn their tips. Overall - We tried it, but won't be going back.

Bazil's Pub & Provisions is one of those places I can walk into without needing a plan--and that's…read moreexactly why I love it. Established in 1993, Bazil's has that classic old-school pub personality that you just don't manufacture. Dark wood, vintage bar vibes, a relaxed atmosphere and a massive beer selection that gives you plenty of reasons to hang around for a while. And honestly, the beer selection is the star of the show. Bazil's is known for having one of the biggest craft beer selections on College Avenue, and it's easy to see why people make this place a destination. Whether you already know exactly what you want or you're standing there thinking, "Okay...what the hell am I drinking today?" there's plenty to explore. But what I appreciate most is that they don't overcomplicate things. Good basic pub food. Cold beer. Comfortable surroundings. No need to dress it up with a paragraph of adjectives and culinary buzzwords. I went with the burger and fries, and it was exactly what I wanted from an old-school neighborhood pub: simple, satisfying comfort food that pairs perfectly with a cold beer. And then there's the fish tank. Seriously. That thing deserves its own Yelp review. There's something ridiculously relaxing about sitting at the bar, having a cold beer in front of you and watching the fish cruise around behind the glass. It adds this weirdly peaceful element to a classic pub environment. Bazil's is the kind of place you don't necessarily go to "experience." You go to hang out. And sometimes those are the places you end up remembering most. Brews. Views. Food. Repeat.
