I purchased my wedding dress from La Blanca back in November 2017 and got married on July 7th this year. They recommended coming to Christina for my alterations. From the beginning, she was very nice and easy to work with. As things lead up to my wedding day she was very unprofessional with cancelling appointments, last minutes time changes and even date changes with when I could pick up my dress. I was supposed to pick up my dress on Monday July 2nd. She asked me on that Monday if I could come Tuesday instead. I told her that was fine but my mom wouldn't be able to come to see how to do the bustle. When I was on my way she texted me and asked me to come later than my 7:30pm appointment time. I was already on my way since I live in Lakewood and she is about 30 minutes away. She told me my dress wasn't done and when I got there I waited 45 minutes for it to be finished. On top of this, she didn't do things we agreed upon because she ran out of time and I paid $500 so I was disappointed with the outcome. I think she had too much on her plate. The top of the dress was also uneven and I texted her about this the next day after I picked it up. She told me there was nothing she could do because she was out of town. At the end of the day, my wedding was perfect and the dress issue wasn't going to rain on my parade, just want other customers to be aware. read more

Very pleasant and talented Christina fixed four white coats for a colleague and me. She did a great job personally tailoring our coats and they returned with all of the changes we requested at very reasonable pricing. For two of my coats the cost was $54 and my colleague's coats were $86. This was with discounts due to a week delay from the original time she said they'd be done. Because of her great personability, skill, and absolutely adorable Brussels Griffon naked Mildred, we would absolutely bring other tasks to her in the future. read more

So thankful for Christina! When I moved to Cleveland a few years ago I was looking for a tailor who was reasonable in prices and efficient. She has done a variety of work for me from simple stuff like hems, to tailoring indian blouses which are heavily beaded and take a lot of work to alter. Naturally when I bought my wedding dress I knew I had to take it to my go to girl for alterations. My dress came in 3 months late due to crazy covid, so I was already a bit on edge wondering if it would get done in time. The dress had to be taken apart on the sides to adjust the lace work and lining so it wasn't just a simple fix. Christina was very organized in scheduling my fittings ahead of time weeks out. She was right on schedule with each fitting and my dress will be ready on time in a few weeks before my wedding in early August (pictures of final dress to come!) Some reviews comment on Christina's timeliness but I must say if you drop off a wedding dress a month before the wedding I would imagine there may be unexpected delays when doing such elaborate alterations. She is super talented, friendly, and makes her shop safe in these times as she wears a mask and also requires masks for everyone. read more

Christina did an excellent job tailoring my white coat. I just needed some simple alterations to make the coat less boxy and she was able to make the jacket look much better for a very good price (~$20). I definitely recommend any students/healthcare professionals that need white coat alterations done to come to Christina. She is a superb tailor with competitive pricing. It seems that October/November are busy months for her as she mentioned she had many wedding dresses to complete. The reason for four stars instead of five is because the coat was supposed to picked up after two weeks, but she contacted me the morning of asking to postpone pick up for a couple more days. This wasn't a problem, so I agreed. On the new pick up day, I arrived and she had not yet done the alterations... it only took her 30 minutes or so, but it was annoying that it took that long to have such simple alterations done and I had to actually wait in the shop for her to do them. Overall, I will certainly return because she is very skilled and her prices are very reasonable, but I will make sure I don't have a hard deadline for whatever the alterations are needed for. I first gave Christina my white wedding dress to add sleeves to in June 2018 for my wedding on October 20, 2018, after purchasing the dress from LaBlanca Bridal in Olmsted Falls where they assured me that she would be able to add sleeves to the dress with no problems. I went to several appointments where we talked about how to add on the sleeves and there was very little progress, but I tried to be understanding since there was so much time until my wedding still. I also had a hindu ceremony where she put together the top for my outfit which I gave her in August. She assured me that she would be able to get both done on time the Tuesday, 10/17 before my wedding. I absolutely needed these dresses that day because the nature of my wedding included several events leading up to the weekend that I was busy with and would not have time to drive to her shop to get my dresses. The whole week before the wedding she pushed back every appointment, asking for extensions and always promising that the dresses would be done at the time she was asking to meet. When each new time came and I contacted her, she said they still were not done and asked for more extensions. I moved around my schedule at least 4 times that week just to make sure I got my dresses, and she did not finish them until Thursday night when she dropped them off at my house and had to finish sewing them together in my bedroom. I was not able to try on the finished white wedding dress until the morning of my wedding reception on Saturday so I really had no clue what the finished product was until it was too late to make any adjustments. Not only did she not understand how to keep appointments, she made many excuses saying that she was overbooked and she was disappointing many brides that weekend. She repeatedly told me my dresses required a lot of work, which I tried to be understanding of. I wish she would have let me know months before that she was overbooked and couldn't do my second dress, or that the sleeve work would be too much for her to handle on top of taking on other dresses. The finished work looked beautiful to everyone else, but the lace appliques on the sleeves were starting to come off before the reception started and just got worse as the night progressed. The bustle also seemed to fall apart halfway through the reception and multiple people tried to fix it but I ended up having to carry around the train of my dress for the rest of the night. I'm sure she does great work when not under pressure, but I would recommend going to a seamstress that knows not to overbook herself and who will be more upfront about realistic deadlines for finishing dresses. I tried to be understanding about how difficult adding sleeves to my dress was, but she had months to make progress on it and the sleeves weren't even attached to my dress until the week of the wedding. My wedding week was basically ruined because of her inability to be clear about when she would be able to finish her work. read more

I gave Christina my wedding dress on 9/12/18 for a 10/20/18 wedding. I went to several alterations appointments, and had several cancelled by her. She often relayed that she was running late on dresses for other brides and how she had a lot of difficult brides - so I was extremely accommodating. I also asked her if she had time for my dress, and if she would be able to finish on time - and she always said yes. Long story short, my dress wasn't finished until almost 3pm the day of my wedding, she worked in the hotel room adjoined to my suite, and we ended up bringing in an additional person to help her sew. I could go into the details of everything that wasn't completed until that day - but it's beside the point. Let me just convey that I'm not exaggerating. It truly ruined the morning, we were 1.5 hours late to photos, things were unfinished, and honestly we were all tense, frustrated, and sad. On the morning on my wedding, when I tried on my dress and noticed an enormous flaw, Christina said "why are you crying, don't cry". I responded "do you want the truth? Because I feel like I've been extremely accommodating with your schedule, and I got the short end of the stick", she responded "Well I did this as a favor", and I said "Then you should have said no". The favor she is referring to is that my mom had hired her to make her wedding outfit, and when my first alterations lady fell through she asked Christina if she could do my alterations. At no point in time did she say she wouldn't have time to complete my dress. I do think Christina is talented, but she's overwhelmed. She has too many dresses to complete and not enough time. She means well, and I want her business to succeed. But I think she needs to limit the amount of dresses she is working on, and she needs to plan better. read more

She texts with her clients and is very responsive. She asked me to send a photo of the dress and a description of the problem to make sure she could get the project done in the time that she had. Prices were very reasonable - $45 for an alteration of straps and letting out the underskirt of the dress.
