I shipped my MacBook Air to them from California!…read more Around Christmas my screen went blank and I was able to get in to see them for a diagnosis. Brian told me it was the logic board, and also the battery needed to be replaced. Since I was only in town for the holidays, I thanked him, paid the very reasonable diagnostic charge, and figured I would get it repaired when I got back home. Big mistake. After suffering through two weeks of no laptop, I arrive home in Davis, California to learn that no one has the parts, or it will cost hundreds of dollars more than what I was quoted by Astoria's Best, and that I should just "get a new MacBook." I am so over this disposable tech culture, and if I can save hundreds of dollars repairing my existing hardware I'm going to do that. So I called AB, they happily agreed to fix it if I shipped it up, and they probably got it done faster than the times I was quoted at home. Overall I had a great experience and would happily use their services again for larger repairs that made sense with shipping cost. My laptop came back well packed, clean, and working. Thank you, Astoria's Best! You all run a great business.

I had a problematic Dell computer that needed some help and in no time (3 days in my case which I thought to be fair) I had it back and it was good as new. While I know just enough to be dangerous when it comes to fixing and upgrading a computer, when I run into a problem that I can't handle the fine folks at TechLab in downtown Aberdeen will help get your machine back on track like they did with mine. Thumbs up and thanks again to TechLab!!

It's a pity you have to give at least one star to review! The only thing worse than the hash this…read morecompany made of my security camera installation was the owners insistence that the same guy who botched it up would be the one to come back to fix it. After my neighbors saw the job they did with my system, a few started looking up any other installers, which is how I finally got the mess I was left fixed. The lead installer was described by one of my neighbors as "unctious" which I had to look up in the dictionary. It's good because I was stuck somewhere between condescending and rude. As bad as the install was, it took three times as long as the owner promised. So long in fact, that he drove out just to see why. When he was shown photos of the "finished" job and admitted it was bad and did nothing but threaten to send the same guy back. It is better to spend your money on an out of town, county or even state company to start with because for a viable system, you will eventually. This is probably the first yelp review not written by an employee so be warned.
