Stumbled upon this soup-serving Asian hut-like cafe after an early evening pint session and ran away from the cold, right into it. It's a bit of the poor man's Itsu, with mini-sushi boxes, bento, and hot pot soups.
Everything was average, medium quality, medium quantity. I thought the dumpling soup was flavorful and slightly cheaper than the larger chains such as Wasabi. I also had a bit of the tuna/salmon nigiri boxes as well which was fresh enough and also cheap for the area. The man behind the counter was over enthusiastic and lovely, trying to help as much as possible. The seating is pretty limited with a few 2 people tables in the back, set in a white room with a few posters.
I think I would use this for a too-lazy-to-cook-tonight evening if I was passing by the area and wanted to grab a take away while avoiding the chainy queues. But it's not really a cafe to lunch with a friend or to linger over a soup as there is just too little space and I would feel pressured to finish quickly if more than a few people came in. read more
