I saw this place on Groupon and ordered the weekday all you can eat sushi deal to try during our honeymoon. It has a nice futuristic feel, where you order from the table using its touchscreen interface. You can also play games on the table. They have both great fish and vegan sushi options which we tried. It may not be the best sushi we have had, but for the deal and environment it is great. They also have a good selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. One unique item to the UK we tried is smoky Coca-Cola. I could see this place do well in the United States. The table does time out after 90 minutes and they did have to remove a drink that they ran out of from the bill. If we come back, we may try the more expensive deal with the Asian tapas and perhaps the unlimited drinks.

Drago roll looked terrific. Great presentation but so do flavor.

For starters, the tables in this place are ahhhh-maaaaz-ing! When you sit down there are small circles on both sides of the 2 person table. You tap on it and up pops a bunch of prompts. You use the mouse to navigate to order food, drinks, dessert and to play a host of fun games. You can even personalize your table by choosing your own wallpaper! Very very cool and if you are dining with kids.....this will definitely keep them busy. They seated us even though they were full with reservations so kudos for that. My reason for 4 and not 5 stars....I thought the food was marginal. The veggie gyoza "potstickers" as a starter came 3 to an order and they were pricey. The miso was very salty. The dragon roll presentation was great but it tasted bland. The spicy tuna roll tasted great, but the rolls were very thin and difficult to manauver with the chopsticks. I did enjoy the edamame and like how they were grilled. Overall a nice experience but a bit disappointed with the food.

5 stars for the futuristic experience and ambience. 3 stars for the food itself though. Order from your table?? Actually ON your table.. sweet. Ambience was great - dimly lit, super modern, posh and filled with customers. Food (asian-inspired, but more thai than japanese): - Miso soup: £2.75, smaller than normal. - Futomaki sushi: not very authentic (way more rice than sushi filling). - Sashimi had stringy tendons:either it wasn't fresh or the cut wasn't very high quality. - Grilled green beans: delicious, but £5.50 for green beans? - Dessert, nothing spectacular. Black rice with mango seems unique but was too creamy and sweet for my liking. Seems everything is mini-sized here but the prices. Definitely must try this place at least once though!

Inamo was probably a better idea in concept than in practice. The principal theme to the restaurant is that tables double up as computer screens and that from these you can order your meal, watch the kitchen at work and even book a taxi home. The menu options is visually displayed in front of you and there is the option to set the table colour and design as you would prefer. Although I would agree that this is a clever gimmick and a fun way to order a meal, any more than half an hour in Inamo and the novelty really does wear off. Can you imagine what forty tables all set to their own florescent colour scheme actually looks like? It's only the occasional wine glass and plate of food that separates it from the Christmas light display on Oxford Street. This is a real shame because the food in Inamo is actually of a very high quality. The Black Cod was beautifully presented and melted in the mouth and the Crispy Prawns were effortlessly moreish. Unfortunately even this didn't distract us from our surroundings and we couldn't help but notice the negative effect this 'interactive' restaurant was having on some of the other tables. The couple to my left had stopped any pretence of bothering to talk to each other and were completely transfixed on a game of battleship. Another pair further along had accidentally ordered three bottles of wine at once, failing to understand the touch pad system. I'm sure there are many people that will completely disagree with this review and love all of the technological touches. Personally however, I'm more of a fan of the old fashioned approach. The focus should be on the food and not the environment and I should be able to chat away to my waiter without ringing the virtual bell on my table. If you are nervous about a first date though and conscious that the conversation might wear a bit thin then maybe Inamo is just the place. Maybe just double check there's not history of epilepsy in the family first though...

I went to this restaurant mainly because I heard about the interactive tables and not really for the food and I didn't get disappointed. You can choose the pattern of the table, play games such as battleship which is loads of fun and order your food after you have seen what it's gonna look like on your plate. I guess this would be the perfect place for a first date, just in case the conversation shouldn't flow as expected you could always play a game. The food was also really good, I had the Malaysian Noodles which were really tasty but there were way too many mushrooms in there. My friend had the salmon which was absolutely delicious! The desserts are amazing too but really pricey for the size of what you get! There are some negative points as well: the price which is too high and that they kicked us out after exactly 90 min! We booked the table in advance so you could expect to stay there a bit longer right? I'd go there again but only for a special occasion when I am ready to spend a lot of money...

In a related and very lovely gesture, the server brought me a complimentary mutton roll (with chilli ketchup) and said they usually send something on the house for solo diners :) The roll was delicious -- savoury mutton without a strong game-y flavour that went really nicely with the mildly spicy ketchup. I decided to have an order of the Lankan chicken kari paired with a hopper. I did not know what a hopper was before then (let alone seen one), so it was an interesting surprise when I was served this unevenly thick, bowl-shaped rice pancake. Fortunately, I did not go wrong with this choice, as the hopper was so delicious. The light rice-based flavour of the hopper paired so nicely with the rich, slightly spicy curry and the tender and savoury chicken, and I really liked the textural variety of the hopper itself (thicker, spongier base and thinner, crispier sides). The ratio of hopper to curry was not quite right, though, so I ended up ordering another roti to enjoy the remaining half of my curry and chicken. The roti was really delicious -- fluffy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside -- and similarly paired super well in carrying the curry flavour. All in all, price point was pretty solid for the quality and amount of food. I thought the hopper was pricier than expected, but conversely the curry was less so -- so overall it all seemed quite reasonable. I would love the chance to come visit again and try more of their deliciously fragrant curry options next time.

The place was quite busy, and interestingly, the same person taking orders was also cooking. It's a very small setup--definitely not meant for dining in. The vibe is more like "grab your food and head out." We ordered chicken egg fried rice and chicken chow mein. Watching the food being cooked right in front of us was fascinating--quick, high heat, and full of action. Once we got our order, we sat outside to eat. The first thing I noticed was that the food was quite oily. More disappointing, though, was that I couldn't find any chicken in my fried rice--even though I had paid extra for it. I went back, showed them, and asked if chicken had been added. They bluntly said "yes" and didn't bother to check further, which was frustrating That said, the food itself tasted good overall. It's just that the oiliness and the lack of proper service took away from the experience. I wouldn't say I won't visit again--it feels more like an off day--but I was definitely expecting better service.

They were going to try to accommodate us but luckily we were able to sort things out. We were first sat at the bar and given the wine menu. It was odd because I really wanted the drink menu, I wasn't even sure if there was one at that point. I don't drink alcohol and needed the drink menu which I didn't get to see until we sat down. My husband ordered lemongrass cha and kakigori (his favorite). I had the Sakura spritz (non alcoholic). I was delighted that we were seated right against the glass edge. We enjoyed the view very much. We considered getting the signature set menu but there were some dishes that were not on there. In the end, we spent more than what the signature menu would have cost us oops. Pea guac- my first time having pea guac it was a good starter Duck salad - this was good Sakura Salmon- this was delicious, I'm not sure what is Sakura about it though Waygu goyza- Waygu was cooked perfectly but the star of this dish is not the wagyu the taste is over powered by the outer shell and the oils. Definitely one of those places where you walk in and immediately think "okay this is going to be great." Unfortunately, the actual experience didn't really match the setting for us. The drinks were good, but not particularly memorable considering the price point and reputation. The bigger issue was the service. We were seated at a shared high top next to another couple and then waited around 25 minutes before anyone took our order. After that, it was another long wait before the drinks actually arrived. By the time we finally got them, the whole vibe had kind of faded for us and we ended up leaving after one round. I still think it's worth stopping by for the views alone, but overall the experience felt more style over substance than I hoped for.
