Chow a la Carte is a micro-food hall and incubator in Buckhead's Lindberg-Morosgo neighborhood, featuring globally inspired cuisine from chefs around the world. It also hosts a monthly underground dining experience spotlighting a new chef via Chow Club. Chow a la Carte is located in Uptown Atlanta, which houses the Lindbergh MARTA station. It is open for lunch and dinner on Monday-Friday. Chow a la Carte is a bright restaurant with flags from various countries, hinting at the restaurant's commitment to diversity. It definitely has a micro-food hall feel. Chow Club is usually held around the middle Friday and Saturday of every month. Tickets are available on the Chow Club website a month in advance. The dinners usually sell out. This month featured a Botswanan Chow prepared by Chef Keletso (Kepla) Thaga. First Course: Peri-Peri Wings. I have enjoyed Chef Kepla's marinated grilled chicken. It is always flavorful, but I would have loved more bird's eye chili pepper. Second Course: Beetroots. The beets were well prepared. The chutney is subtle but adds nice flavor to the beets. Third Course: Seswaa and Phaleche. The phaleche is a cross between sticky rice and grits. As a result, it had a unique consistency that reminded me of my grandmother's softer rice, and I found myself yearning for butter (and maybe a little bit of sugar - don't judge me). The seswaa is beef that is stewed, grilled, and pounded. It is a simple dish - only salt and pepper is added - but it had just enough flavor to make you keep eating. Fourth Course: Madombi & Beef Stew. It smelled so delicious coming to the table! The dumpling is light and comforting and the stew flavorful and hearty. Chef Kepla's dumpling has a denser, bread-like consistency and was a nice vessel for the stew. Fifth Course: Custard with Jelly. The title appropriately describes the dessert. The bottom layer has the taste and consistency of strawberry jello with a creamy custard top layer. It was refreshing and light and reminded me of childhood summer desserts. What made this meal so memorable was because it felt familiar. There was beauty in the simplicity of the ingredient list and preparation, but the flavors were complex and soulful. On my way home, I began to process while I felt so moved by the mea. Chef Kepla's feast connected me to my African ancestry, particularly the Bantu blood that courses through my veins. While my family has been in the Americas for generations, I deeply felt this meal because I remember my mom and her mom (now both angels) cooking versions of these meals during Sunday meals. Thank you, Chef Kepla, for reminding me of how my family showed love and devotion through food.

This is a bakery with a super cool selection of international cakes and collectibles. Japanese cream cakesC croissants, sweet-filled buns, on & on. It looks like quite a few items sell out, so it can be hit or miss if you have a favorite. We got our boba teas, a tiramisu, strawberry cream cakes to satisfy the sweet tooth(s), but I was so excited to see a chicken korean BBQ sandwich that I had to get one! OH-EM-GEE!! I will be back to the sandwich alone!! It didn't take too long for the hot sandwich despite it being nearly closing time on a Saturday. The staff was helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. The diner itself isn't fancy, and the tables could use some consistent cleaning and clearing. You get plastic tableware and napkins on your own. But it was warm in a cold evening and had plenty of places to sit in the evening. I can imagine it gets pretty packed for lunch. Not sure.

We saw some of the really cute things in the window, so we walked in and it did not disappoint. The place was filled with chocolates macaroons and a whole bunch of pastries. You could also order a whole variety of espresso drinks and lattes, etc. It even had a really cute seating area directly outside, but if you could fit yourself inside, there was some bar seating as well. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. I don't know who's making this stuff but they are truly talented. I have to come back here again when I'm in Buckhead Village.

You can gain entry by using the backdoor garage entry or the entry near their patio area. Unfortunately, when I visited it was pouring and I didn't realize that the former was possible, leaving me to fight the rain once I found the patio entry. Foxtail is not a huge space but they offer a number of slim tables, barstools and two different seating areas with big, comfy chairs. It was easy to grab a seat, even with an 11am rush. There only 2-3 team members working, but they were all very nice and so patient as I stared at the menu with indecisiveness. The menu offered a variety of teas and coffees, along with a display of pastries and a number of sandwich options. After seeing that they served banana matcha, I had to see if I could add banana flavor to my latte - I could! So I started with a banana latte with oat milk + a ham, cheese and egg croissant. My latte was so delicious, I went back for a 2nd cup not too long after. My croissant was delicious as well. This is really a great place to do some remote work or to conduct meetings. The wifi was easy to connect to and I was able to get so much work done in the peaceful coffee shop as the rain poured down outside. Definitely a nice cafe to spend a day at!
