I had the carne empanadas and the espinaca empanadas, while my husband had the three cheese empanadas. All were delicious and you'd never know they were gluten free. Was expecting a sit down place but this is definitely food to take to go. There is about 4 tables and no public restrooms. We ordered 3 carne empanadas and one chicken. The carne was good. The chicken was plain and abit rubbery. The chimichurri sauce was good. Fried sweet potato chips were good. The French fries were soft and mushy, obviously not blanched. Disappointed in the floppy fries. This place is trying to push Paleo and grain free diets etc. but maybe they should focus a bit more on the food and not the health part. Id probably order empanadas to go one night if I was really craving them, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

I just happened upon this little Argentine grill by accident. I got three empanadas: carne (beef), espinacas (spinach), and champiñon (mushroom). OMG SO DELICIOUS! I loved them all but I think the mushroom was my favorite. Each one is good- sized, very full, and they were super hot and fresh tasting. They were each SO FLAVORFUL! Make sure you get some salsa or sauce. Ours were pretty good but we got it to go and we did not order any sauce separately and that was a major mistake. I think that it would have been a much better experience if we had had some sort of salsa or something with ours because after the first couple bites we really had to tough through to finish our plates. Really excellent food. Very friendly and accommodating as well. Since it was our first time, server asked chef/owner to come out and talk to us about the food. Empanadas and fried plantain are my favorites! Only one downside for me (and this is a personal preference, not criticism), I prefer chimichurri made with cilantro rather than parsley. We decided to try this new restaurant because it is gluten free, we liked the food so much we ordered twice just to have the pleasure of eating such wonderful Argentinian delights. Especially liked the Lomito, a streak sandwich, and the Chorizo Empanadas, meat and filings deep fried in dough, and the battered hot fried pickles. All the meat is local and grass fed. They have great yerba mate drinks, and the bone broth is great. The only word of warning is that they are set up as carry out place with only a few tables. We loved it and will come often. read more

Tried this place for the 1st time. Ordered chicken empanadas and lemon pepper wings. The empanadas were fine and a good size. The wings were so salty, I had to throw them away. The rub is nothing but salt. They were also very small. Luckily they gave me extra, so I appreciate that. If I come back, I wouldn't order the chicken. read more

I tried to order from Choripan via Grubhub tonight. It was a nightmare. I do not think it is the restaurant's fault, but I would advise them to disconnect their affiliation with Grubhub as soon as possible. I never received my food. The driver at first told me that he could not find my place even though I had explicit standing written directions with Grubhub, and he did not have enough mastery of English in either writing or orally to be able to understand my verbal directions. He falsely reported the order as delivered and so it was processed by the company. After doing a little research, I found that this is a common problem with their company across the nation. So restaurants and customers beware! Below is what I posted on Facebook, since yelp doesn't have a means of customers providing reviews of third party restaurant delivery services. Probably because they seem to have some kind of contractual arrangement with Grubhub themselves. My FB posting: If you are looking for restauraunt delivery service in the Central OhIo area, I would strongly unrecommended Grubhub. Don't take my word for it. Just Google "Grubhub Reviews" or check their Better Business Bureau rating. My own experience of food falsely reported by their drivers as being delivered, then not getting a refund is apparently common practice with this deplorable company. They promised to at least email me a 50% discount on my next order (which I will never use), but even that promise was not fulfilled. Buyer beware! read more

Couldn't be more thrilled to find delicious Argentine food near home. Ordered a chorizo empanada and carne empanada as well as fried pickles. All delicious! As if that weren't enough food, the owner and server started telling me about a pumpkin empanada they'd prepared as a special the day before. When the owner told me he had 1 left, I couldn't pass it up. And I'm glad I didn't because it was SO good. Looking forward to trying more off the menu. Staff was super friendly and food was great. My in-laws are from Argentina and I have celiac disease and we had a wonderful experience here. The fried onions, carne empanada, and chorizo sandwich were particularly good. Joel, the owner, took good care of us. I'm not sure what the reviews saying that Argentinian food isn't meant to be gluten free mean since all of the meat is authentic and prepared well. An ALL GLUTEN FREE RESTAURANT?!?!? This place was delicious!!! I ordered via Uber eats while staying in Dublin Ohio, the sweet potato fries were thin and crispy and scrumptious! The empanada was amazing, I would never think it was a gluten free dough! I also had the pastilitas which was a fried dough with FRESH blackberry raspberry filling that was sooo good! It's a fresh tasting dessert that isn't sickly sweet, just a crispy dough and fresh berries, I ate with some vanilla bean ice cream I had and it was just perfect! Thank you so much for having a completely gluten free restaurant where I can feel confident about not getting sick or having an allergic reaction since I am actually allergic to wheat. I got Choripan for the first time today. I went with the six empanadas for $24. A little pricey, but the flavors were delicious. I got two chorizo, two pollo, and two carne empanadas. I paired them with the chimichurri salsa and they were amazing! Next time I'll try the wings and/or one of those beef sandwiches. The flavors sealed the deal for me. So tasty. read more

Saturday night, my wife and I like to go out and eat local. She found this restaurant online serving true authentic Argentinian food. We stopped by, and man was it good. The owner came out and greeted us ; advised everything is made by hand to include the chorizo. Everything there is gluten-free, and as much as possible is sugar-free as well. Things involving sugar, he uses either honey or maple syrup. I had the chorizo and coleslaw, it was very filling and very delicious. Properly cooked and at the right temperature. Please be sure to patronize this local business who opened up about a year and a half ago. It is truly worth the stop. read more

Well, I would have liked to try their food, seeing that there are not very many restaurants that specialize in gluten free cuisine - and I may try them out still, but I am a bit annoyed still about my recent first time visit. I came to Choripan this past weekend with my children to try out the empanadas. I was very excited, because I live so close to Karric Square and I didn't even notice this hidden gem. When we walked in, I noticed that there were only 2 tables out and it was apparent that they do take out only. It was a slight inconvenience that I really didn't think much about until we had to find another restaurant after we left. I had to use the restroom rather badly, and I have bladder spasm issues. When we walked in and I told the man there that I was going to order but needed to use their restroom first. Being an establishment that serves the public, I naturally assumed that they would have a restroom for their customers. I was told right away that he had none that I could use because of health department regulations. I told him that I guessed that we would have to go elsewhere if he had nothing available and he told me that was "fine". I find it very difficult to believe and understand how many other restaurants, including take out restaurants, can have restroom facilities available for their customers during this time and yet he did not. Now that I look back on the experience, maybe that says something of the cleanliness of this restaurant as well - as in it not meeting certain health department codes. I would really like to try their food, I would. Especially since I choose to bave a gluten free diet due to chronic pain issues. I may, but in the meantime, it is my understanding that there is a little place in historic downtown Dublin that serves gluten free empanadas too. read more

Perfection. This place is on the other side of town from where we live, but my husband, son and I had an errand in Dublin so we decided to stop in for lunch . . . and boy, am I glad we did! We ordered an assortment of empanadas and a sandwich, and the nice waitress brought us extra plates so we could sample everything. Oh my gosh, how wonderful was this food. My son, who's 20, is willing to try anything (but is also kind of picky) and he was blown away by the delicious flavors in all of the dishes. He's already telling me we need to return. The best part was when the owner brought out the amazing hot, HOMEMADE, fresh fries, as soon as they were ready!! My mouth is watering. He checked on us twice to make sure we were enjoying the food, and we certainly were. I don't know much about gluten free food, but I imagine it can be frustrating to have limited choices in other restaurants. All I have to say is this--you need to come to this place. read more

My coworker and I ordered empanadas and some of their sandwiches and wow this place is good. Yes the bread is different if you're not used to gluten free bread but just realize he makes everything from scratch, does not use fillers that are unnecessary and he does not use sugar. The ketchup is even homemade!!! Making food from scratch is expensive and time consuming and this chef does it and still keeps costs of the items at a fair price. We can't believe their food is grain free and so delicious! We've tried the sandwiches (their homemade bread is the best), empanadas, salad, and super thin sweet potato waffle fries. Everything is very good. The empanadas are definitely our favorite, especially with their house made sauces. Even our 2 year old can finish off a whole empanada! This was my first time trying this place and holy crap. This food was SO good. I cook at home and I am quite good at it which can make eating out hard! This food was all freshly made and flavorful. Had the grilled chicken with chimichurri and those waffle fries! They are everything! We tried the chicken and beef empanada and lemon pepper wings. Absolutely ever last item was delicious and even though it is a 22 min drive each way, I will ABSOLUTELY make it again for this food!!! read more
