#11 LEMON GRASS BEEF OR CHICKEN
    Camilla V.

After a long time driving around, we finally found this spot. The service was nice. The ambience is spacious, bright, and nicely decorated. The lemon grass chicken bowl was delicious. I would have liked more lemon grass flavor on the chicken, however. The char grilled pork slices with egg rolls bowl was refreshing and yummy. The sandwichs were good. I wish they would have put more mayonnaise on the breads though, because they felt dry. Overall, a good place to spot for lunch.

It's been a while, so let me do an update. The place we were going to was on the busy side so we opted for the Chopstix. Seated and menus given, nice. Visually some good looking food and the flavors of my dry noodle bowl was good though I thought it would have been hotter due to the chili pepper picture next to it. Fresh spring rolls were average, the drag was the banh mi sandwich. It was a lemon grass chicken with no flavor and worst was that it was mushy (wet). The bottom of the bread was falling apart like it was setting for too long. Last words...maybe not.

Always reliable always good and fresh. I really enjoy their food. They have redesigned their dining room it's very comfortable. The food is very reasonable. I get the spring rolls, the rice platter and dry noodle bowls love the lemongrass chicken version. Service is friendly and efficient Neighborhood favorite for a great meal!

    Garlic green beans

Ordered large size pho only got regular size. Garlic greens beans was nothing like the picture shown on the website and beans are very stringy couldn't eat it

We came here because the friend we ate with only eats Vietnamese food and is very frugal. Our server was friendly. Food was okay. I ordered the mango salad. It was good but was drenched in sauce and would have been so much better with less. My partner ordered the Bun Bo Hue. I liked the thick white noodles which had a nice bite to them. The chicken wings were okay but nothing special. Overall, an okay experience. I'd come back here for a cheaper meal but it wouldn't be my first choice.

    The name of the restaurant

We loved the soup on this chilly evening. The atmosphere is casual and quick. Tried the Pho - it was a very good portion size and two people could have had it. Glad we didn't get an appetizer. The servers are sweet and friendly. Came and asked how the food was and if we needed anything. I got a loooootttt of lemon and they provided no questions asked. Will try again if we come by. Must stop.

I'm only leaving a 3 start review, because for some reason all the reviews that have one star it says to go on the app to read the full review. i just want everyone to please check the food!!!! I went in to eat with my family. I Order 3 waters never got them, we asked for chili oil also never got it. I had to get up and ask for it again. Then while I was about to take sip of my boba drink I see this... a freakin roach on my drink!!! & all they offer was to take the drinks of my bill. I will be calling the health department for sure. I'm only leaving a 5 start review, because for some reason all the reviews that have one star it says to go on the app to read the full review. just want everyone to please check the food!!

Overpriced and bad service! How can you charge $13.00 on chicken pho a dish that costs you $1.50. This is not a gourmet restaurant.

They were kind enough to sneak a couple onto the grill for us, which was an amazing gesture. The hot dogs were absolutely delicious, served on a high-quality bun shipped directly from the East Coast (the same ones they use for their Philly cheesesteaks). It was a fantastic, flavorful surprise. As you can see from the photo, my wife thoroughly enjoyed diving right into that massive foot-long! The service was top-notch, the food was spectacular (such great quality and flavor), and they truly care about their customers. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone in the Seaside area! Thank so much, its really a pleasure to find a crew that love their trade !

3.5 STARS HELLO,…read moreMEAT SWEATS! Escaping the 4th of July warzone in The City, we headed to Carmel for a quiet staycation. The Carmel food scene tends to be mid and overpriced so I was in search of more affordable, local gems in Seaside and Marina areas. And...TikTok brought me to The Meatery, a boutique butcher shop and eatery. BUTCHER SHOP Array of ethically sourced meats - amazing looking marbled steaks, pork, veal, and handcrafted sausages (Mmm, blood sausage and fermented garlic sausage!). They also have house-made sauces and spice blends, condiments, compound butters, duck fat, and more. There's even fresh dog food (e.g. beef sirloin, brown rice, and blueberries) which I bought for my dogs. EATERY Made-to-order sandwiches and BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc) in the hot case. House-made sides (potato salad, mac salad, and kimchi) are available in the cold case. Bottled drinks including beer available. You can order ahead online but we ordered in-person. Note: Check Toast for the most up-to-date prices; the online menu has the old prices. There's about 6 tables for dine-in. Self-serve water. Bus your own tables when finished. F O O D * 18 Hour Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/rceamucw - Requested mix of wet/moist and lean brisket A signature item, the brisket sandwich was sorely disappointing. While I enjoyed the fresh, soft bun, tangy cola-cola bbq sauce, and acidic pickled onions, the lean brisket was very dry and tough (at opening time). * Calamari Steak Po'Boy Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/yn7zsvz6 The unique coastal twist on a New Orleans classic sounded promising on paper. The sesame roll was light and fluffy, and the slaw had a delicious creamy tang. Unfortunately, the thin, fried calamari steak was dry and chewy, while the heavily salted breadcrumbs overwhelmed its delicate flavor. * Dino Beef Rib ($21.50/lb): https://tinyurl.com/j8dsxnvc Eyeing this on another table, we decided to order it after trying the sandwiches. Def the highlight of our meal - the beef rib was rich, tender, and deeply savory. Not overly fatty with a crispy bark. Light on the seasoning and smoke so the tangy BBQ sauce came through for a boost of flavor. * Wedge Fries ($8) Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the wedges were dusted with their house seasoning mix (savory w/ a touch of smoky flavor) and served with a side of their fermented chipotle ketchup. * Kimchi Cucumber ($7.50) A blend of napa cabbage and thinly sliced cucumbers, the kimchi was mild and tangy. The perfect acidic in-between bites. S E R V I C E Warm, friendly service. Food came out fast. Overall, maybe we visited on an off day for the eatery. I can see why The Meatery is a local fav for their butcher shop tho. I mean, if I lived nearby, I would be all over 'em sausages! P.S - 3.5 stars rounded up for a small business.

When we arrived they had a small parking lot but busy because they do a lot of Door Dash and Uber Eats business. Once inside I took a quick look at the menu and saw they had breakfast burritos of either Chorizo-Sausage-Ham-Bacon or Veggie. I chose Chorizo breakfast burrito($10.39) The shop is run by the owner-he was the cashier and the cook. In talking to him,he was telling me that his family owns multiple Mexican small shops like this in the Juarez Mexico area and El Paso Texas area.Says that all the shops use the same recipe for their hot sauce that is served with the burritos. Once the burrito arrived,it was both heavy and warm.Once I cut it open,I was able to appreciate the craftsmanship of this burrito in all its chorizo, egg, potato and cheese glory-it was beautiful. As pretty as it was though,it tasted even better,I had planned on only eating half of it as I had a tee time in less than an hour but one bite led to another and then it was gone. I've had many breakfast burritos in my day and as unexpected as this is to say, this may have been the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Also the aforementioned family-recipe hot sauce that came with the burrito was so spicy yet so tasty--perfect combo to a perfect burrito. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Monterey area and you want to treat yourself to some upper echelon breakfast burritos-do yourself a favor and stop at 3 Mundos sandwich shop-a top tier food experience awaits.

At the time I stopped in, it was very quiet compared to previous trips, with no waiting to order and our pick of seats. The tortilla had a nice char on it before being wrapped around the plentiful ham, potatoes, egg and cheese in its swaddling embrace. Each bite was fresh and flavorful, even beforr adding some of the house made salsa, which added an even bigger burst of flavor and some heat. I ate 1/2 on site, and rewrapped the other half and enjoyed that while at the golf course.

We are not the kind of people to make a scene in situations like this -- we let the staff know what we saw, one of the workers grabbed it with a napkin and apologized. We proceeded to tell them we were going to leave and walked out, we left it at that. As we are walking to our car, one of the workers comes out running to us and asked us to pay for the drinks that we didn't even fully drink, we had taken a few sips when we saw the roach. We went back in and spoke to the supervisor on duty and told him we weren't paying for something that we didn't drink and he continued to insist we pay for it. The audacity these people had to even ask us to pay for two drinks that were barely touched after having a roach crawling through their restaurant is ridiculous. We didn't want to cause any trouble with the existing customers that the business had which is why we left quietly the first time, but for them to chase after us as we are leaving demanding we pay for two drinks was shocking considering the situation. This picture of the roach doesn't even do justice to how big it was. It almost seemed so normal to the staff with the presence of a roach.
