This is when I really wish Yelp had half star reviews. This is 3.5. I recently read about this place in the newspaper and somebody told me it was viral on TikTok so I stopped by for lunch. This is near the old Cocina Luchadores restaurant. It's not in a good part of fells point and even during the day it's just a little dicey. I love a hoagie, especially from a bodega. The staff was really helpful. You have to order at the register first, even though it feels like you can go up to the food counter and order. They do have cash discounts, which is really nice and they do take tap. What was really cool about this place was the fact that they have more organic snacks, they have the Siete brand and others from Whole Foods and I was obsessed to find diet Dr Pepper as someone from Texas. For a convenience store it's bright it's clean. It is alarming because the register area is completely sealed off with windows. Be sure to check the prices as I notice some of the healthier chips like the Parmesan crisps had already expired or were expiring the next day. The prices are really fair and I appreciate that it's in the neighborhood. Now the hoagie. The 6 inches actually quite massive and I couldn't eat all of it, but there was just something totally off about the sandwich. I think it's Italian dressing that they're using it was just wet and overall just lacking flavor. The bread was also kind of dull (odd choice but that's what it tasted like). When I was eating it at home, I tried to add some jalapeños and pickles to make it better but overall it was just really one-dimensional and not worth the hype of the sandwich. They also will not take any modifications on the sandwiches - it states on the menu! I will say it is a very good convenience, store, and the fact that they have diet Dr Pepper makes me really happy. you often do not see diet Dr Pepper in a lot of places.

I initially stopped here to get gas (the provide BP at this location) and then I wanted to go inside to get a drink and a snack to wind down my night. After going inside it felt a little to small for my liking. I had to reroute myself several times just to look at items because of the people in here. I will give them this, it is nice and bright in the store and everything seemed organized and in place. I found my items and went to pay. The two employees working made it feel like anyone that was in the store was interrupting them and we should have just left without anything in our hands. It took a while be be rung up as the guy was having a full on conversation and slowly processing the transaction. What really bothered me was that even after you paid, it felt like they were waiting to accuse you of stealing something. My friends that came with me had already paid and were waiting there for me to finish. As I was going through my transaction they kept looking at my friends, who had already paid, like they wanted to accuse them so badly of stealing what they just paid for. Once I finished my transaction we headed outside and were on our way.

The good: 9 times out of 10, if a local brewery releases a new, fun, craft beer, Supermarket will have it soon almost immediately after the release announcement. Local breweries like Peabody Heights, DuClaw, and Union all have a big presence here, as well as New Belgium/Voodoo Ranger and 21st Amendment for out-of-town craft fair. The okay: The prices are just that-okay The bad: Selections of most of the spirits are kept behind the checkout counter, so they're impossible to browse and difficult to make out the prices on-some aren't marked at all. Also, a lot of their stock is very old (many bottles are dusty even), and I've bought expired beer a few times here (who thinks to check beer?!). For certain craft beers, supermarket is a good choice. Otherwise, there's better liquor stores for better value, better stock, and a better shopping experience.

There was only one cashier on a Sunday morning which was dreadful because of the line. He was friendly enough. I went to the pharmacist counter with some cough drops, COVID-19 tests, and other remedies to buy, and tried to buy some Sudafed. The pharmacist told me I couldn't buy any of the non-pharmacy stuff there and had to buy it up front. Okay? Odd. When trying to buy the Sudafed their system went down when processing my DL. I asked if he could try it again and he said no. I left feeling very defeated because I was sick, in an unfamiliar city, and no other pharmacies nearby were open yet. I had already taken a Lyft to get here. I decided to go back inside to the pharmacist and asked where the nearest pharmacy was. The same pharmacist told me there was one at the university of Maryland, but it wasn't open to the public. !?! THANKS. During that time another very nice pharmacist had come in, took pity on me, and offered to try processing my DL again so I could get the Sudafed. This time it worked and I was incredibly grateful for her kindness. Finally, to top it all off, I bought a sealed bag of cough drops here and when I got back to my hotel, I opened it to find that some of the sealed cough drops actually had no cough drops in the packets. I basically bought a bag of empty cough drop packets. FML. Baltimore, you did me dirty this trip!!
