I initially stopped here to get gas (the provide BP at this location) and then I wanted to go inside to get a drink and a snack to wind down my night. After going inside it felt a little to small for my liking. I had to reroute myself several times just to look at items because of the people in here. I will give them this, it is nice and bright in the store and everything seemed organized and in place. I found my items and went to pay. The two employees working made it feel like anyone that was in the store was interrupting them and we should have just left without anything in our hands. It took a while be be rung up as the guy was having a full on conversation and slowly processing the transaction. What really bothered me was that even after you paid, it felt like they were waiting to accuse you of stealing something. My friends that came with me had already paid and were waiting there for me to finish. As I was going through my transaction they kept looking at my friends, who had already paid, like they wanted to accuse them so badly of stealing what they just paid for. Once I finished my transaction we headed outside and were on our way.

I found that it had a lot of those little things that you'd want to run to the corner store for, but maybe not want to get into a car and schlep to Safeway for: snacks like cookies, chips, sweets, candies. There were also some household staples, drinks, vape stuff, and toiletries. The price for the Tate's cookies I got were the same price as at Safeway. The guy behind the counter said there would be a set-up in the back for sandwiches and coffee in a couple weeks. Hope this venture goes well because I miss those corner bodegas of NYC... Service was friendly. Parking is not great in this part of town, though!

They had everything that you could think of that you might need. The prices were reasonable but the Customer Service was Excellent; I can't remember the young man's name that was working that day, but he was outstanding. I did not take any pictures. But the bodega was very neat and clean and smelled fresh. We spent a little time shopping and talking with the young gentleman working there about our next trip to Puerto Rico. Also, a lot of their stock is very old (many bottles are dusty even), and I've bought expired beer a few times here (who thinks to check beer?!). I went to the pharmacist counter with some cough drops, COVID-19 tests, and other remedies to buy, and tried to buy some Sudafed. The pharmacist told me I couldn't buy any of the non-pharmacy stuff there and had to buy it up front. Okay? Odd. When trying to buy the Sudafed their system went down when processing my DL. I asked if he could try it again and he said no. I left feeling very defeated because I was sick, in an unfamiliar city, and no other pharmacies nearby were open yet. I had already taken a Lyft to get here. I decided to go back inside to the pharmacist and asked where the nearest pharmacy was. The same pharmacist told me there was one at the university of Maryland, but it wasn't open to the public. !?! THANKS. During that time another very nice pharmacist had come in, took pity on me, and offered to try processing my DL again so I could get the Sudafed. This time it worked and I was incredibly grateful for her kindness. Finally, to top it all off, I bought a sealed bag of cough drops here and when I got back to my hotel, I opened it to find that some of the sealed cough drops actually had no cough drops in the packets. I basically bought a bag of empty cough drop packets. FML. Baltimore, you did me dirty this trip!!

What I call a sib is called by many different terms depending on what part of the country you are in. Wawa got their start in Pennsylvania somewhere by Philadelphia and over there, people call them hoagies. The story that I have always heard is that the name hoagie xomes from the Hoagland submarine base and the employees loved this particular sandwich so much that people started calling them hoagies. Anyway, for a gas station, Wawa has some pretty stellar subs (or if you prefer, hoagies). The gas is competitively priced and Wawa is an overall positive experience.
