    California Chicken Salad Wrap
    Kristy R.

First time trying this place. I wanted something healthy as opposed to fast food. This place has a variety of options to choose from: wraps, sandwiches, panini's, smoothies, and more. I got a California chicken wrap added chopped onion with mango on the side. It was so good, every bite was fresh and tasty! But it's a little pricy if you ask me. Also, there is a $1 fee if you pay with card, so be sure to bring cash unless you don't care. I'd come back to try their panini sandwiches and other wraps.

Been here a couple of times now. The place is clean and inviting. The menus board has a lot of options and trials so don't feel intimidated and rushed. Staff is very friendly. I love the cob and spicy chicken salads. Although this last visit I tried the cilantro pepita dressing and it was good but I tasted cumin and I am not a big fan of that spice. Good nonetheless.

I was recently in the area and in the mood for something fresh and healthy. I stopped by this establishment and was greeted by the young lady behind the counter. She gave us some suggestions on what she likes and my son went with what she recommended. I ordered the Santa Fe wrap without the crispy onion and chips and got the chipotle mayo sauce. My wrap was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return and try some of the natural juices as well.

    South of the Border Wrap

Half of the time they don't answer the phone for takeout orders, so on those days I just get food from somewhere else. If you don't want my business that's fine, there is plenty of other places to eat. Today, they answered and I got the same wrap I always get, the south of the border. Every time I have ordered it before it came with chicken inside.. today no chicken. I am not happy. I did not want to pay $12 for some corn and beans. In the employees defense, there is never enough workers there for them to function correctly, nonetheless answer the phone. But, this doesn't excuse why there is no chicken in my wrap this time. I think this is the last time I will come here

I have heard of this place and finally tried it and boy, did I miss out. This place serves up a healthy meal at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Iliana recommended the Club Panini with jalapeño and it was delicious! My wife had the California Chicken Salad with mango dressing and it was super good! We will definitely be back for more!

I used to go to Chop'd all the time a few years ago as the proximity to the office is convenient. However, they've been dropping the ball recently. Not only do they never have avocado, the smoothies are inconsistent and the bagel setup has changed. For instance, ordering a bagel with cream cheese used to mean they spread a good chunk of cream cheese to said bagel.. now they give you a small to-go package of cream cheese. Although the service is usually good, I'm just kind of over the disappointments of my recent visits.

    Super dry and hard chicken

I have wanted to go here for a while but every time I do it is closed. Finally made it in today and wow! Over $18 for salad. The chicken is dry and over cooked. They charged me for extra salad dressing and weighed the dressing as well so I was charged twice for dressing. No wonder they can afford to ONLY be open Monday- Saturday from 9-3. Ripping people off!

I was not confused to a stupor that left me angry and frustrated, I was left more dazed with swirling lilies around my mind, like I had been hit hard with the staff of a fairy who pays the bills of the forest as an interior designer. The place has a design concept that takes two opposing forces and blends them into a restaurant concept: health forward food for O.G.'s and their like and crew, all while being a love letter to the streets of Los Angeles, the gritty streets, not the ones next to Rodeo. For instance, Cruz, one of the staff members, was wearing a "Straight out of Whittier" shirt that was clear nod to the movie straight out of Compton that was all about the rap and its consequence on West LA homeboy culture. The central mural of the joint showed low-riders, the LA symbol made with finger angles, and graffiti galore. Again, the message was clear this is a health cafe for Tupac and his friends and followers. These two principal ingredients mixing together (health food and LA street culture) at least in my mind, are more the subject for improv comedy than a sensible restaurant concept. I know people can mix what ever they want together, I know that there is choice when people color and dress, but this motif seemed like it was mixing Ninja culture with a dog grooming service. The concept can work, I see a ninja de-worming a golden retriever with swift skill but this concept also seems forced rather than flowing with common sense. So for a health cafe in LA I see Cher from Clueless, or Barbie, being more easily applied to the concept. But what do I know perhaps in a few months will have a Hell's Angel's tea experience that will not be dainty but rather hard like a helmet and it might be the concept that begins a revolution that ends with Hair Salons with Viking culture at its decoration theme. The (health) food in itself was a blessing. My friend Bailey is the healthy eater of the two of us! She got a simple green salad with tofu. I sampled a forkful. My hand had to dig in hard, with its fork, to retrieve the lettuce, the carrot, and some of the pickle, I avoided the tofu. The greens were fresh, and tasted clean in their simple flavors, but what elevated the green forkful to excellence in taste was the sweet mustard dressing. The green had dressing that turned solid greens to yummy ones! I ordered the shrimp tostada. Cruz, came to the table and explained that my plate was Keto friendly, which meant that it was good food for those who were experiencing life as a pre-diabetic, for example. What I loved about this place and its food, was that I did not feel like I was eating healthy and had to sacrifice pleasure in the name of honoring my health goals. Quite the contrary, the food was just plain good food, and for me, eating good clean food, is a fantastic way to keep my health goals on track. Apparently the tortilla was made out of cactus, and that is a why where the healthy stays in tact, while still being food that is satisfying, and, yummy! I would go here again, especially when my health goals are in full swing. This place will facilitate the process because the food was truly good!

There was the option to make the soup spicy, but I thought it would've been too much for me based on the pictures I saw. It was pretty pricy for a noodle soup dish, but there was complimentary banchan: pickled peppers, kimchi, radish, and fish cake. There was also salt and pepper on the side to add flavor to the broth. However, even without the condiments, I feel that the broth could've been more flavorful. Also, for the price charged, I feel like there could've been more pieces of beef brisket. The kimchi, fish cake, and pickled peppers were really good. The peppers came in a delicious sauce that was simultaneously savory, sweet, and spicy. It was a nice to dip the beef brisket in this sauce. The kimchi was not sour too. We also got additional fish cake upon request. The restaurant got pretty loud, and it was a little hard to flag our server.
