I have mixed feelings in my review. I went here to get my oil changed and the guys worked very quickly and seemed very knowledgable and like they were trying to do their best to help. The service was quick and good prices. The problem was that the day after my oil change I was driving to work and my engine started to badly smoke. After letting the engine cool I opened my hood and could clearly see that the smoke was caused by spilled oil visibly collected on the engine block. This is not a huge problem but one that is caused by simply not being careful and paying close attention and one that I should not have to deal with. I was late to work because of this so I recommend paying closer attention next time. read more

Can I really be a fan of a quick lube joint? I suppose. Here's what I like: location is super convenient for me. No appointment needed. 3 bays, so I was able to get in without waiting at all. Employees were incredibly friendly and polite. Got the whole however-many-point inspection. What I don't love? I always feel like I've got "sucker" written across my forehead. Upsell, upsell, upsell. Love these guys. I was sent here by a friend because I needed a mechanic while I'm around for school. My car hadn't been starting and I took it in they said I needed a new alternator/battery. Fine. Replaced that. Week later still wouldn't start. They worked on it all day. Vince manually took out all y fuses, took it to the electrician and the whole shebang and couldn't figure out the issues. I decided to leave the car there and Vince drove me home. Turns out my car is an early release model and it needed a completely different kind of alternator all together. Car works wonderfully now. I've only mostly worked with Vince and he's a great guy. I will definitely be returning for my car needs. read more

These dudes were amazing! Drove in, they quickly inspected everything while I sat in the car, then told me exactly what I needed. They were confident, quick, and friendly. They checked my tire pressure's, clean the windshield, topped off other fluids, and checked my air filters. I would highly recommend this place to anyone trying to get a quick oil change. I'm so grateful for the guys at Choice Quick Lube! I went in today without a service appointment, desperately in need of replacing my rusted license plate. Al came to my rescue, spending over 30 minutes to make it happen. He tried different tools and in the end he had to drill the old screws off because they were so rusted. Alex also came to help. They put my new license plate in place so I can drive it around now without worries. These guys are so friendly and I can't believe that they told me not to worry about the payment for this after they spent a good 30 minutes to help me. Thank you, Al and Alex, especially Al! Simply the best oil change location you can find. This place is not even slightly convenient for me as I live in Ypsilanti and work on the other side of Ann Arbor but, it is the only place I took my Volvo and it's the only place I take my new Jeep. These guys are all incredibly professional, knowledgeable, friendly and good at their job. They tell you what you need (if you need it), always refill my air and give me helpful, inexpensive tips.. I am new to the area, and I received coupons in the mail so decided to go there. The guys were very friendly and they finished in 10 minutes. I had my dog with me, who is usually very protective, but he didn't even growl at these guys, and they had treats for him! They did not push me to buy other services which is a relief. Went here for a simple oil change based on reviews, left with a great respect for this place! Over and above my expectations. Quick, easy, and cheap. They did so much more for free. They checked liquids, inflated tires, washed windows, checked many other systems like brakes and calipers, lights, etc all for free! Been here a few times, and nothing but friendly and quick service! One time I had a low tire pressure light on my truck that I couldn't make go away, since all tires seemed to be fine. They told me that it likely was the spare that is stored under the bed of the truck and even filled it up for me after we lowered from the mounting bracket under the truck.. Saw a coupon of packaged engine oil, transmission oil and cooling system flush and decided to try this out after this long winter. Rich, the mechanic, first told me the coolant flush is not due for another 6,000 miles, and then after checking the quality of the transmission oil told me not to change it yet--should wait for another 20,000 miles. I ended up only change the engine oil and the air filter which looks pretty dirty. It seems the mechanics there (Rich, Stan) are not just trying to maximize revenue.
