Staff was very friendly and easy to work with! Just went in for an oil change so nothing major, but I pulled right in and was in and out within 25 minutes (they were a little busy when I got there so I had to wait a few minutes for an employee to come over and ask what I would need that day). They also explained everything they were doing which was really helpful for someone who knows nothing about cars. It also made me more confident that they were actually doing what they promised. For your own safety, DO NOT GO HERE 1) In my original review I noted that they froze my washer fluid lines in the winter, resulting in a road salt buildup on my windshield that I couldn't clear unless the temperature was above freezing. Since then: 2) I took my car to another shop and they told me my serpentine belt was going to break at any second. He showed me the belt and sure enough, it had cracks every millimeter along the entire length. This is something an oil shop should check as part of their inspection. 3) After taking my wife's car in, I found that they had overinflated the tires. Recommended was 33 PSI, and they were all 45-47. Again, shoddy service, they clearly just attach the air pump, count to 10 and move on. At PSIs that high above the recommendation, one hard pothole on the freeway and who knows if the tire would burst. I'm done with this place. The belt was so bad they clearly neglected it for several oil changes worth of visits. And the tire and windshield fluid issue, just lazy, shoddy operations. For your own safety, take your car elsewhere or you might find yourself in an accident directly caused by Choice Quick Lube. read more

Just got my oil changed today. I've been looking for a legit place to get my oil changed since moving here from cali... a place where the mechanics won't hassle me about things I need to get fixed. Normally I go to uncle ed's but after reading all the reviews about the overpriced service charges and oil change cost... i decided to go somewhere else. I didn't have a bad experience, but after comparing costs... I realized that choice quick lube was at least $20 cheaper than uncle ed's. I found Choice Quick Lube from Yelp (of course). My main mechanic was Sam. Vince and Al helped with the oil change and transaction. They were all very friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable with them. They were extremely honest. Checked everything .. and told me everything looked good and that I didn't need to get anything else fixed (which is a rare experience for me while getting oil changes). I know they are honest because I recently got my car 90,000 mile service check at the Acura dealership like 2 months ago. Price: my oil change was $39.99 for synthetic blend oil (found the deal on their website under coupons). I also came between 8-10AM for the early bird special which is $10 off your oil change. So all in all... it came out to ~$32. I was almost going to spend $59.99 at uncle ed's for the same oil. Whew! :) good thing i checked yelp! :) Time: super speedy! Since moving to A2 from California, I've decided to yelp more since there are so few reviews at so many places! Got my oil changed here recently and came in with a coupon for a "full service oil change" (regular ~$27, coupon made it ~$17+tax/removal fee). It was quick, not quite 10 minutes as advertised, but close enough. And you wait in the car while they work, which is a new experience for me. So if you read no further, the bottom line is you get a quick oil change here for a good price (with Clipper coupon). Unfortunately, they also do that Jiffy Lube-style upsell, with the "suggested" air filter change and then "suggested" synthetic or synth-blend oil for another add-on. everything is extra, which makes the "full service" part seem a little less full and a lot more gimmicky. I was satisfied with my oil change, but given the plethora of $20 oil changes around town, I might try another one next time to see if I can get out the door without a sales pitch aimed at my auto knowledge insecurity. read more

Went here today to have my oil changed. From the start, Vince was incredibly nice and professional. He and the other mechanic did not try to up-sell me on which oil to get. They recommended that I get a transmission flush and explained to me why. There was no pressure. They also checked my tires, lights, and I'm not even sure what all under the hood. Went here today after a very disappointing experience across town at the Jackson Ave. Midas. Came away happy! It doesn't look like much from the outside but they gave me everything I would hope for from an oil change place - quick, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a price breakdown for additional available services I might want in the future. The mechanic, Vince, even took the time to show me how to remove and clean the A/C filter behind the glove compartment - I didn't even know it was back there! I knew I'd also be needing brake pads soon, and they quoted me a very attractive price - so I know where I'll be going for that work. I've been coming here for years and I really love this place. VERY fast like 15 minutes on average. Back in the day, I used to go to Midas-- OMG Midas was awful.. they took forever and it was a whole afternoon thing.. plus they always upsell you. These guys at Choice Lube are really awesome. Friendly convenient and efficient. They usually give me a discount as a repeat customer, like $3 off (available to those returning before 10k miles). I get the synthetic oil which is a little more expensive but it's fine. For my Civic '11, the oil change costs about $29. ($27 if I show the Clipper Coupon ad available online). I have been getting oil changes here for a couple years now and have been perfectly happy with the service. They almost always suggest I replace my air filter, and I say no, and they don't push it. Yesterday I dropped in after work because I've been having a sporadic issue with my car that was worrying me. I commute about 80 miles every day, and on the highway my car has been randomly pulling to one side and making a noise like it has a flat tire (but it doesn't). My regular mechanic has limited hours, so I wasn't sure how soon I could get in. I just wanted to make sure nothing was dangerously wrong. The Choice Quick Lube mechanic said they can't do alignments there, but he did check all the axles, connections and tire pressure. Didn't see any obvious problems, which was a relief to me. He also topped off my fluids and washed my windshield, then sent me off without charging anything. I wish I had noticed his name -- great customer service! read more

I would have given 5 stars IF all staff interacting with customers wore masks. One man, who appeared to be in charge, put his mask on when interacting with me but two others didn't. I had a mask and gloves on so they could see this was important to me. I see you give discounts for first responders. I recommend making their lives safer and easier by helping to reduce the spread of covid by wearing masks when you are close to your customers. This place is the best for oil changes and quick fixes. They have three bays, and I've never had to wait long for an oil change. The technicians are the nicest people, and they always remember me when I come. They usually have some promotion and never try to pressure me or up sell a service. It usually takes about 10-15 min for an oil change, and with coupons, it tends to be about $20. One time I went through just as they were closing. I thought I had missed them and started to drive away, but they came out to wave after me and signal to come back. Super Transparent Service - went in to get my breaks replaced because at first glance on the tire they looked ready for servicing. Got a call an hour in once they took the tires down and got to actually look at the pad they felt they were sufficient to last me still several thousand more miles. I took my Equinox in for a transmission fluid change, and props to them for dealing with it. I was going to do it myself but truthfully I did not want to put the effort in since I knew the dipstick and plug were somewhat a pain to get to. They had me in right away and only took 20-25 minutes since they had to wrestle to get to the dipstick (exactly why I didn't want to do it).
