They texted 2 days later wanting to make a more reasonable deal. Which we ended up taking. Quote from the salesman upon our return: "Glad to see you've come to your senses!" Me: As have you YOURS! Salesman: Touche! Long story short. The process was painless and quick. Took the car to my mechanic (Slaughter and Associates...LOVE them there!) and had them go over everything. I was told by them that it was in great shape! Nice to know they don't sell crud over at Red Mountain Motors. All in all. I asked Dave to rate it for me before I made the trip to J & E for a test drive. He rated it as an 8.5/10 and said he never gives any vehicle a 10. This vehicle was a strong 9/10. Even better, I was struggling to find time in my schedule to drive to their location. He brought the car to me and allowed me in North Peoria to take it to my trusted mechanic who said it was in really nice condition. Lastly, he drove up to North Peoria again with the paperwork to finalize the sale. Finding a used car of this caliber is an art and they did it for this one. Spoke with David who let us know the owner had taken the car home. We let him know we were interested and would pay cash. He said he'd call the owner and get the car back down to that side of town and bring it to us to review. He kept his word and within a few hours we could view the car. We liked it and gave our offer and that is when the issue started. He let us know how much the wanted our the door which was way more than blue book and thousands more than what we wanted to offer. My husband let him know what our final offer would be - we heard a lot of the owner paid too much for it and have to cover taxes fees etc.. but no leeway on price - so we were just not interested further and then we were told - we should have told him beforehand what we were going to offer cause this was just a waste of his time. To me - this is the worst thing you can say to a customer. I don't care what you say or do now I don't want to buy the vehicle. I am a waste of your time. No worries - outta here. Very upset I walked away and thought we were done. Since this happened - we have heard back from them with a lower offer on their end. Still were not interested. Saw that they lowered their price online. Owner has since gotten a hold of my husband and apologized for the comment of his employee and let us know about lowering the price for us if we were still interested. So while I was extremely upset and frustrated with them because of the comment and being overpriced - I do appreciate that they have gotten back to us and apologized for the comment.

They were super easy to work with and there seemed to be a lot of different selections. One thing to be very aware of is that most of the vehicles on their lots are "buybacks". This means that they are cheaper but they could be considered a lemon and it may be hard to sell or have some issues that come down the road. Of course, there could be nothing wrong with it as some states have very lenient return laws so that the buyback could be for the smallest thing. Just make sure you know what you're getting into as you look for your car here. Of course there's nothing wrong and nothing but. Just want to make sure proper information is provide for you yelpies!

I ended up looking at Hyundai Ioniq 5 N (yes the fast version) before stopping here for 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance. Let me just say, this is by far THE BEST experience. I was able to walk in (no appointment needed) and Christian M was able to help me right away. A quick ID scan and he came back just gave me the keys I'm like what?!? I'm not used to this level of customer service. He gave me quick directions for the test drive route and I was able to follow it step by step by myself. I say the only negative about this place is the lot, they have many vehicles and parking/spaces are limited. As for the vehicle, it was nice and I would jump on it if it wasn't a buyback (branded title) Now I already knew this vehicle is branded before stopping by. I wanted to see if I can find out more on the reason why it was a buyback other than charging issue. Sadly the paperwork didn't provide the additional info. Should you get a buyback? That really depends. The price is GREAT no doubt and if you plan on KEEPING the vehicle long term (as the resale value is a lot lower, do a quick check via CarMax or Carvana), don't mind dealing with potential electricial issues (but they should be cover under warranty) But knowing myself I usually don't keep vehicles longer than a few years. Also I would double check your insurance and make sure it doesn't cost extra. And at the time I haven't driven the Kia EV6 GT (the original vehicle I was looking at) so I ended up passing on this. Also wanted to point out they have the lowest Doc fee that I've ran into ($299) here vs other dealers wanted $699. No add-ons, title fee is $19. Very low sales pressure, extremely friendly staff, I would stop by again in the future when I'm looking for another vehicle.
