Even before I stepped inside, I could tell this place was something special. There's something magical and beautiful about it. The moment I walked in, I knew I was right. And when I left, they made me feel so good I didn't want to go. There are goodies and an abundance of gourmet treats that bring so much joy. What made it even better was the amazing service. I was treated like royalty. They offered me so many samples--wow. Every chocolate, candy, and indulgence is wrapped with taste and attention to detail. I wanted to buy everything. I received things you just can't find anywhere else. It felt like a trip to a special place. The BEST Dubai chocolate I have ever had! Choconuts Gourmet is a newer chocolate, nuts & gifts storefront that has been open approximately two months. They are located on the lower level of the Plaza De Oro shopping center on Ventura Blvd. The store is bright & invites the customer to browse their varied gift selections, as well as their selection of gourmet chocolates, warm nuts, a selection of individually wrapped Turkish delight candies, and imported coffees. Really cool little family owns spot tucked away inside of the shopping center. I stopped by after finding it on yelp in order to buy a few boxes of chocolates as holiday gifts. The gentleman working there helped me create custom boxes full of different chocolates that were sourced from Belgium. He offered a few samples and they were delicious - so much so that I ended up making a custom box to bring home I also ended up, trying a variety of other treats that they have, including some pistachio-based Mediterranean desserts that were just the right amount of subtly sweet. Will definitely back since the chocolates easily passed my wife's "quality control" as soon as I got home with them, and there were plenty more desserts that I did not have a chance to try yet. I couldn't decide what kind of party favors I wanted for my gender reveal party and then my mom said we should stop by this chocolate shop. I didn't even know this store existed but I'm glad I listened to her because I found the perfect party favors. The owners were so nice and helpful. We were offered samples of the chocolate, which was delicious. They put together adorable pink and blue boxes with chocolate and French almonds for me on very short notice for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this business if you're looking for high quality personalized party favors. I will return soon to buy some yummy treats for myself as well. read more

I was walking past this shop with a friend and we stopped to admire the selections in their window. One of the owners came out and offered us free samples of their nougat and we happily accepted and followed her inside to learn more about the store and their offerings. They have a simple selection of different chocolates, not made in-house, and some interesting nougats. Their main focus seems to be on chocolates and treats for events, especially with decorative wrapping, themed for your occasion. The young woman offered us some warm nuts which were ready in their special warming machine, lightly seasoned and very tasty. When my friend asked about their coffee, the gentleman owner who had come from the back by now, gave her good information on the coffees available and also explained the special brewing pot that is traditionally used and why it is important to consider preparing this Turkish coffee differently than you would American coffee. He then asked if we had some time. We agreed and he offered to make some coffee for us right then and there. He brought out a little stove and showed us how to make the coffee and gave us sample cups to try. We were the only customers in the store and we felt completely welcome. I appreciate the time they took with us. In the end my friend bought some coffee and I bought some chocolates. I thought the pricing was fair, and the chocolate and nougats were overall quite tasty. My only concern was the box they put my chocolates in is more of a craft-box like you get from a store like JoAnns (or maybe even a dollar store) and it has a note on the bottom that says "NOT INTENDED FOR FOOD." Since my chocolates and nougats were all individually wrapped I wasn't too worried. Still, their boxes are not as professional as what you would expect from other moderate to higher end chocolate stores. If you want to box up a gift for someone, you might need to think outside these boxes for your final present. read more

Before I give account of my first experience, I'd like to highlight what Choconuts accomplished for our wedding. Veronica and I planned our wedding, which occured last week in Ohio. On short notice, Rania put together a trinket box of specialty candies for each guest (french almonds, a chocolate square, and other candies). She made it custom, spending time with us (patiently) working out the design. They ended up making and shipping 90 of them to us in Ohio. They not only looked beautiful, but they matched the other novelties that we had placed at each guest seat (the menu, the gift, the name placecards). Anyways, thank you Rania and Sam for doing this on such short notice. Thank you for doing this during a busy party planning season. Thank you also for packing them so neatly and doing rushed shipping. (Our first experience with Choconuts) One day, my wife Veronica and I happened to walk by this gem of a store. At first glance, it looks like something out of a Charles Dickens novel; The door, the window display, all are inviting, not one clash of design, as if it was meant to be where it was. We were first greeted by Rania, who offered us samples, then invited us in. Then we met her husband, Sam, who's kindness seems foundational to his daily walk. These two care about their work. I just discovered this shop today. It has the most beautiful, delicious, chocolates I have tasted. They are each individually wrapped which makes them even more special. They have an assortment of nuts, all very fresh. They also stock imported baklava in various iterations. Sam, was extremely friendly and helpful. Gorgeous, gourmet, high-end chocolates with the best selection and service. I happened to walk into this adorable boutique with my daughter and walked out with a dozen chocolates (wafer, Nutella, almond, caramel, coconut) and a bag of lemon almonds, dry-roasted with no oil. Sam was so generous and helpful. He kept insisting we take samples. I could tell he loved his product. He and my daughter were like two kids in a candy store! Highly recommend!
