I have stopped in this place and left without buying anything usually; i always expect to find unique, local and delicious products but leave a bit disappointed. Of the chocolates I have tried, I haven't been super impressed but haven't had a whole lot either. The few chocolates I have purchased haven't tasted super fresh. They have a collection of various chocolates and cookies, candies and related gifts. It reminds me of the Rocky Mountain Chocolates chain. No issues with service. Best dark chocolate covered pretzels I've ever had! The pretzel is crisp not stale and the dark chocolate is not too sweet!

My fiancé and I had a family tragedy the day before Easter that resulted in us having to scatter for Easter baskets for his 3 nephews and niece. We hurried over to Chocolates with love 30 minutes before closing to see if they had any still available. The owner came on over and advised the option of making our own and having one of the girls wrap them up nice. We rushed to put 4 big baskets together and apologized for being those last minute customers. While wrapping, the owner came on over to ask about our situation. He felt so sorry that he gave us one of his GIANT chocolate bunnies on the house. He was so friendly and had a nice conversation about how he took over the store, he and his staff really took the time to make those baskets look beautiful and special. (We forgot to take pictures but I promise they were fabulous). They stayed well after closing hours to chat and really made us feel better taking the time to make our night better. Needed a gift for my wife so stopped in. It is locationed in a shopping plaza/strip mall so it doesn't have the best curb appeal. They had a whole bunch of chocolates so you have plenty to choose from. Im not going to begin to try to explain. They also gave me a free sample when I was waiting which was kind. Not sure if inflation is the reason but I paid $5.25 for peanut butter cup. That is a lot. The chocolates were good and the lady was nice but it was pricey. Staff is pretty rude, been here on a few occasions, and on all occasions made a purchase and never once was offered the free chocolate at the register, even my young daughter was upset, as all the customers before us were asked (milk or dark). Overall chocolate is Ok, nothing special. I would find another local shop to support with nicer staff, no need to deal with rude people when there are other options. read more

Do NOT buy from here; they have sanitation issues. I found an odd piece of thick congealed dust/garbage in my unopened bag immediately upon opening. Staff is also terribly rude, disinterested, and unfriendly. Chocolates are generic and grossly overpriced, but the worst was the unidentifiable piece I found in my bag. read more

Erica was super attentive and knowledgeable about the chocolate and was able to keep everything within my budget. What's not to love about chocolate?? This place has everything, including my awkward favorite...chocolate covered gummy bears! Try them once, you'll understand why. If you want a sample they will help you out. They do great things with chocolate, lots of great things! They have a selection that no review will do justice for. Going is an experience! Looking at the outside you would think that it's a small place, and it is in some respects, but they have a ton of stuff. Be very careful that you are not charged twice, as you will NOT be refunded! This 'Chocolates With Love' shop (in Ramsey, NJ) uses an old credit/debit card machine. Once you are 'accidentally' charged twice, the store owner/manager (and their team) will refuse to refund your unfair, unwanted 'duplicate' purchase (saying that they have 'no way to tell if you were charged twice), and demand that you agree to store credit, instead of giving your money back to you. They will ignore all evidence that one purchase came out of your bank account: twice! They will deny your bank statement, receipt and your cry for justice. They appear to be quite skilled at doubling your purchase, and keeping your money. Very manipulative management, in my opinion. read more

I have visited this store on three separate occasions recently and on all three visits I found the staff at the store to be extremely snooty and unfriendly. They appeared to be irritated if I asked any questions about anything. Their general disposition did not make me want to come back nor did it make me pleased that I spent money in their store. I haven't been to the store in Ramsey, but I stumbled into their smaller store and manufacturing facility in Ridgefield Park and was greeted ever so warmly by Carmella. The little storefront smelled like a dream from down the block. It was stocked chock full of milk and dark chocolates in every imaginable shape. Carmella asked if I preferred dark or milk (dark), and gave me a delicious sample - smooth, dark but not bitter, richly chocolatey. Over priced!!! My girlfriend showed me the 2 bags of jelly beans she bought & what it cost...unreal. Then she had bought 4 chocolate filled jellied candies...they did not have a chocolate taste at all...the jelly was good. Do your self a favor and avoid this place.
