"Chocolate Heaven Gift Tray" (10 pds @ 84.99 before taxes) minus the white chocolate and chocolate covered pretzels
    Cassie P.

Hello! During the pandemic, little pleasures like this are few and far in between. Today was my parents 31st anniversary and while my mom got very sick a few weeks back (non covid related) I'm the only person in our household who goes out into public. She wanted to get my dad chocolates but I didn't want her to take the risk so I showed her Chocolate Etc's menu on Door Dash. She was very happy. She ordered the Chocolate Heaven Gift Tray (10lb @84.99 before tax). It was amazing although our only complaint was the tray we were given definitely wasn't 10 pounds, I did request it without pretzels but they said they would replace them with more of everything else. Aside from this, when I called and told them I had a DoorDash order and to confirm that they saw i requested no white chocolate they were extremely nice. The chocolates tasted great and they made us all smile. Thank you!

    Love this chocolate tray!

They also have a chocolate shop next door. When I walked inside of the bakery, I felt transported to a pastry shop in France. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a latte and a scone. The scone was very delicious and fresh. My boyfriend ordered a frozen hot chocolate and a chocolate éclair. I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. We sat at one of the little tables on the sidewalk outside since the weather was nice. I will be back if I am in the area and in the mood for a sweet treat!

We snagged one as people were getting up. I got a napoleon and another dessert that was chocolate mouse with Carmel and a biscuit cookie on the bottom. It was soo good. But worth it once in a while. And they have a bathroom in the back!

There was a bit of a line to order as the two girls in front of us were asking to try every flavor and you could even tell the staff helping them was getting frustrated. I would recommend a limit to how many flavors you can try and posted signage. I shouted over them asking if we could order because there was a long line and those girls were just being extremely rude and difficult to the staff and other customers waiting. Have to say the flavors at maroons are very impressive whether you get soft serve or hard ice cream you will not be disappointed. We got the pistachio and butter pecan. You can tell the genuine homemade ice cream consistency by the ice cream and most if not all flavors are gluten free and have no food coloring which is so hard to find nowadays. It definitely gets crazy on weekends now that the warmer weather is out and the portions a bit oversized but you will love whatever you end up ordering! My friends and I perused the menu before we went and they certainly have some unique offerings. The Asian-inspired flavors really piqued my interest (kulfi, masala chai, ube, etc.). Given how late it was the store wasn't too packed. Service was very friendly and the staff offered to have us sample the ice cream flavors. My friend and I opted for ice cream served in bubble waffles and the staff member informed me it would take a while because since it was so close to closing they only had 1 waffle maker going. They have such a wide variety of flavors so I'm sure you'll find something you like. I got a kulfi sundae and was very pleased with the how creamy it was. The bubble waffle was nice and fresh too. I tried my friends' ice creams and they were just as good. The place is spacious and clean. I could see myself coming back. Bonus points for having a clean bathroom.

This afternoon my wife purchased two portions of your "Harvest Chicken" from the hot foods counter. When she brought it home, we sat down expecting dinner. Instead, we were treated to what can only be described as a culinary experiment in dehydration. I didn't realize chicken could actually reach the texture of corrugated cardboard, but your staff has apparently mastered that technique. Large sections were so hard that even a fork had trouble getting through them, which is an impressive achievement if the goal was to create building materials rather than food. It's honestly a shame, because an animal had to give its life for that meal, only for it to be cooked into something no human should reasonably be expected to eat. I have seen more care put into kindergarten cooking projects. In the end, most of it went straight into the garbage, which seemed to be the most appropriate place for it. For comparison, a stop at Burger King would have been a noticeable upgrade in quality. You may want to take a look at what's happening behind that counter, because if this is the standard being served to customers, something has gone very wrong.

Small seating area, backs of chairs kept bumping into each other and it's hard to walk to your seat when the place is busy. Also the tables are uneven. One table was slanting to the side a lot. The guacamole and the calamari apps were great. Big portions and delicious. Guac was very fresh and well seasoned, the calamari I loved how big the pieces were, super tender and had a spicy sauce with it that had sautéed almonds which added a nice crunch. And lots of shishito peppers on top. The entrees were average. They got the temperature wrong for my hanger steak. It was still tender and juicy but I didn't like the green sauce on it. Which was spicy and vinegary. The potatoes added nothing to the dish in terms of flavor or texture, I barely ate them. The tomato and avocado salad was good, light and tasty. They served it with corn tortillas but the tortillas are very gooey and bland. My husband liked his scallop tacos a lot. I tried one of his mushroom tacos and didn't like it. Again lots of vinegar, and also it wasn't all mushrooms it had peppers and leeks in it. The desserts were pricey at $12 and pretty average. Nothing special. The churros were dry. I give this place a 4 because I loved their apps and it has a nice vibe despite being cramped. And wait service was professional and friendly.

The cream sauce was wonderful and there was a decent portion of seafood in each dish. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and strawberries Zabaglione. The creme brûlée was good something you normally would get. The strawberries Zabaglione was perfect and refreshing with fresh strawberries with a nice thinner consistency custard on top. Our server Elise was wonderful as we were catching up with each other and very slow to order. The inside was very clean with a modern decoration.
