This place is a joke--and not a funny one. They call themselves a "café", but there's no coffee, no food menu, no Wi-Fi, and the space itself is dimly lit, not well maintained, and totally lacking atmosphere. It felt more like a chocolate stand inside a neglected storefront than any kind of café. They wanted $50 for two small cups of chocolate-covered fruit. The strawberries looked old, the kunafa was clearly not fresh, and nothing about it justified that kind of pricing. It's not "luxury"--it's just a ripoff with pretty branding. In San Diego, I can get larger portions with better quality ingredients and real flavor for less than half that price. This place is banking on the word "Dubai" and Instagrammable hype to overcharge people--and sadly, some fall for it. I didn't buy anything, and I won't. I don't support businesses that mislead customers with inflated prices, poor quality, and false advertising. A café should serve more than melted chocolate and attitude. Skip this place. It was pretty good, I had the Dubai Chocolate covered strawberries and the Dubai Chocolate Bar, I appreciated being able to order the strawberries the way I like them, with less chocolate and more pistachio, it was really good. The space was clean and well kept. You can watch them make your order after it's placed. It was really pricey, I think the strawberries were worth it but not the bar. Disgusting 'Viral Dubai' bar. They most likely gave me 2 of their 'cookie butter' bars instead of the pistachio, because they taste horrible. Not at all like the viral bars, the filling is like uncooked cookie dough. I've never thrown out $20 worth of chocolate before Chocolate Bash. The chocolate has an oily aftertaste, like the cheaper quality chocolate you make your own bars with at home. Not Worth the very high price. They are open until late (aka open late). SERVICE Wonderful service -- the store staff and the girl who was making the crepes or something. We interacted with the lady making the crepe because we asked water from her. (For water, they only sell bottled water. And they have some at room temperature which is what I want.) FOOD and DRINKS Because we were full coming from a Chinese restaurant, my niece and I shared an order of Crepe, topped with Cookie Butter, with a sprinkling of Oreo (total cost $12). My sister ordered one of their chocolate drink. Everything was delicious. They also sell individually- wrapped candies or chocolates (e.g., Kit Kat). My sister inquired why the wrappings were different. The store staff said that they are from Europe. I don't know the difference in taste, but I will ask my sister later. SEATING They have chairs and tables inside and outside -- lots outside actually. PARKING At around 9:30 pm on a Friday night, there were many available metered parking. The customer service is so slow here. Came in for one chocolate strawberry and one strawberry shake. Was told it would take 15 min when there was only one other customer in the shop. Why would it ever take 15 min for a shake?! It's ice cream, it would melt if you left it out for that long. SO GOOD. I absolutely love the waffles here with all the different sauce options. I couldn't even take a photo without immediately destroying the waffle. I got mine with cheesecake bites and half cookie butter and half nutella. This is my go to spot for desserts, especially when I need a pick me up after having a bad day. They even have imported chocolates! It's a small place and pretty chill, no long lines and I only waited like 5 minutes because they cook the waffle fresh! I saw on their social media they carry the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar. I sped over there to find it in the display case. It was $15 for one after tax. I want to say it was smaller than a KitKat. There was barely any filling. The design on the bar was boring. I thought there would be more vibrant swirls or edible gold paper. I would say the bar was a cross between a crunch and a kinder bar. The staff was friendly and knew their products. It's a cool little spot in West Los Angeles. There's some street parking on the side of the place and a lot across the street. Came here late at night with some friends and wanted to try some of the stuff they served. The workers were nice when we ordered. I'd say the things we ordered, were super super sweet! Most of us did the build-your-owns and the options were between crepes, waffles, 10 mini pancakes and pancakes with add-ons. I got a Ferrero Rocher shake and a Nutella waffle with Cookie Butter Crumbs and holy, I knew I would have a headache later or something. It was so so sweet but delicious at the same time. Surprisingly it was also a decent price for these items so I'd say I was impressed by some of it. We have been eyeing this place for awhile and decided to come in for a treat one afternoon and we were so happy with our experience! We had the Turkish coffee, the banana roll, ice cream and the krispie sundae. The Belgian chocolate they use is excellent! They carry only strawberry, chocolate and vanilla for ice cream flavors but an excellent choice of flavored cones as well. I am a banana head so of course I got the banana roll, banana in a crepe and chocolate. YUM. The girl working was great I meant to mention her here! But this place is open til 2a on weekends and she said they have regulars that drop in late and it's alot of fun. I love that a dessert shop like this can do so well and they have a great variety of treats. My friend said she will def get the sampler platter for a Valentine's day.
