There's some seating (not a lot) in the back, but it's better than nothing! I got the matcha and vanilla swirl soft serve since I'm not a huge matcha fan, and I didn't want the strong matcha flavor. The soft serve was creamy and had a good matcha and vanilla ratio. This place has plenty of other Japanese desserts with matcha flavor, so if you are a fan of matcha, this place is for you!

That's what you do when you have local currency to "burn" before you head home and out of the country. Koko Black is what you'd expect - fine chocolate - tempting selections - a little pricey, great packaging, great service in the store, extremely good, and oh so worth it.

Koko Black is a lovely place to get some of these souvenir chocolates because they have a large selection of items, including items that are "Australian" in flavor, like bars with macadamia nut and wattleseed. These items are in cool packaging so it's definitely already like a gift that's been wrapped. This store has one side as the retail space and the other as a café with coffee, hot chocolate and desserts. We didn't get any of the café items but we did snoop and they looked quite lovely and smelled really good. We did buy a lot of yummy chocolates. This by far was the most I've spent in one store my whole time in Australia but it was worth it.

I tried their Hot Chocolate & dessert cake, called "Monte Carlo". It's a Chocolate mousse with cafe creme & chocolate biscuit covered with milk chocolate glaze. They do pretty nice sweet foods such as vanilla slices, tarts and that sort of thing. I haven't had anything savoury there, though. I've got far too much of a sweet tooth. Anyway, the sweet stuff is pretty decent for a bakery in a shopping centre. They won't win any major awards, but I've been reasonably satisfied by my purchases. The service isn't anything amazing. I'd call it decent. I haven't had a bad experience, but by the same token, I haven't had any outstandingly good experiences either. Honestly, it doesn't really come into consideration when you're carrying a few bags of shopping and you've been on your feet for the last four hours being dragged from shop to shop.
