Went there late at night and the queue was quite long. The shop looks pretty from outside. Sadly, there's not much space inside to hang around and enjoy our ice cream. It's only five of us but we are split into two tables (because if we drag the chair to one of the table, we might block the staffs/ other customers' way). Some people don't even get any chair to sit on, so we were somehow quite lucky.
Ordered Shiratama Sundae.
Its basically matcha ice cream with red bean sauce and mochi.
The ice cream was nice, I can taste the matcha and I'm a big fan of it. However, the ice cream melted too fast. My friend suspected it was due to the warm red bean sauce. The red bean itself was kind of too sweet making it a bit off balance if eat on its own.
Despite that, the mochi is the best part. The texture is soft, as soft as a freshly roasted marshmallow, but its not sticky and it melts on your tongue. When you eat the three elements together, it creates a very great taste.
Nonetheless, there's only few pieces of mochi and it was not enough to company the rest of the watery ice cream and red bean sauce. read more
