As far as decadent desserts go Bibelot ticks all the boxes; - Plethora of gelato flavors - Chocolate running on tap - Beautifully crafted glistening perfection of sweet sweet goodness - handcrafted individual chocolates to pick & choose - savory options for bfs dragged here by their sweet tooth cravings - take home packs of tea, coffee & herby blends oh & chocolates - drink menu to please everyone (except super healthy/sugar conscious types) - dessert books - beautiful plush lounges to relax in as u unbutton your top button But best of all is the iced coffee! I have to say it's probably the best I've had! Strong coffee bitter balanced against two dollops of smooth vanilla gelato. No crappy airy cream on top but 3 delightful coffee beans smiling at you upon arrival.

I've always liked Chez Dre - the idea of walking down my choice of two dodgy alleys to get to a fancy French joint is still "so Melbourne" to me - so when they opened their little dessert bar I chucked it on my list of places to ditch my diet. It wasn't until one of my girlfriend's bought me a selection of treats for my birthday that I decided to pop in for a Sunday afternoon catch up with some chicks. Being lactose intolerant, I had to select carefully and ended up with a Hazlenut and Lemon concoction that was a calorie-laden party in my mouth. My pal ordered a chocolate dome, that was also amazing, and I think what I like the most about these types of desserts is that there are so many intricate layers and flavours just waiting to be uncovered. The Hazlenut and Lemon tarte had an outer shell of lemon curd, sitting atop a crumbly hazlenut base with what could only be a dollop of the most expensive version of Nutella they could find tucked in the centre. The result is three separate mouthgasms that work perfectly alone or beautifully together. I also love that they have a bowl of samples on the counter - who doesn't like freebies?! Tiny little orange malt balls smothered in white chocolate - kind of like a really fancy, albino malteaser. The chocolate truffles from my birthday were also great: one was flavoured with earl grey tea, another had raspberry goo in the middle. A lovely treat and a really sweet birthday gift. Although I'm giving it 5 stars, it isn't somewhere I'd return in a hurry. It's a 'treat' kind of place and if I went there every week I'd be both broke and covered in cellulite.

Gorgeous! LOVE THIS PLACE. I mean, I could never fault Chez Dre and this new sister is just as amazing. Came here on a sunny weekday afternoon with my mum for some calorific treats and Bibelot hit the spot with their dessert degustation platter. It had a greentea flavoured mousse dome, a raspberry dessert, some sablé, macaron, a very glam jaffa, salted caramel eclair, peanut butter tart, a choux bebe and a piece of their bon bon (chocolate). They also have a fantastic selection of teas, I personally find milky coffee too much when pairing with desserts. Really enjoyed the minimal but still very luxurious decor, and their selection of rare books and cool new Frank Green cups were a great addition. Overall I would say it's high tea without the pomp and ceremony. Very chic. Can't wait to go back for some of their icecream when it gets a little warmer

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go. If you have no time to sit and enjoy the delightful sweets they have to offer here, there are lots of chocolate, macaroons, mini cakes for you to take away to enjoy or as gifts. I had the black forest éclair and I love it. Its not too sweet or mushy, with a nice hint of cherries. I wanted a second one, but I have to refrain from doing so. I got my nieces and nephew some macaroon and they enjoyed them truly.

On the morning I craved a croissant with scrambled eggs I thought of Chez dre. I also craved a Matcha latte...however chez dre said they don't serve it. I heard about Bibelot after seeing their amazing cakes display including a matcha cake from Sweetsfest, and knowing that they serve matcha latte, I decided to go there after my croissant - chez dre and Bibelot are walking distance apart. Think we were the first customers as they only open from 10am on Sunday's. It was delightful in there! As a home baker, I love the sight of the gorgeous and perfectly made cakes more than eating them myself. I was really to try out the matcha latte - but my partner decided we have to at least try one of their beautiful cakes. It was such a wonderful experience upon entering and being greeted warmly. We were offered to sample their cakes which were nicely cut up into bite size and served on a wooden board. Yum ! We decided to order a matcha latte and a cake which they recommended - lemon, macadamia and yoghurt. It tasted divine - not too sweet, slight tang and smooth. It is a little pricey at $9.50 but it's a Sunday treat. Matcha latte however disappointed me a little, it was luke warm and lacked matcha flavour. It also had no sweetness added which I wasn't informed about (although easily fixed). I wonder if they always serve unsweetened as most places serve them already sweetened. I will be back for the cakes and probably give the matcha latte a miss next time.

Have you been to Bibelot? Pretty much in my vocabulary when I talk to another foodie. Joining the ranks of Burch & Purchese and On Nom Dessert Bar we now have another patisserie powerhouse conveniently located outside of the CBD. For $25, the Petits Gâteaux tasting board is perfect to share amongst 4 or more people. I give this to clients and they're always impressed, I especially love explaining to them that Bibelot means a small object of curiosity, beauty or desire. This place is becoming my favourite destination for matcha ice cream.

Bibelot was opened 4 days ago at the time of my visit so please bear this in mind when you read my review. I really wanted to like Chez Dre new offshoot, Bibelot. I went on day one with excitement because I saw all these photos on Instagram of the beautiful layout and gorgeous cakes on offer. This shop sells chocolate, sorbets and cakes, and you can also sit down for a coffee. I bought the peanut caramel dark chocolate with pink salt but didn't stop for food. The chocolate was ok. The dark choc bit was actually great, but I could not taste any peanut flavour at all. The next day came back for a coffee with a friend and I ordered soy ice chocolate. Their iced chocolate is made with their chocolate sorbet so I was excited to try that. For some reason the waiter wasn't sure whether they could make it, although I did specifically mentioned that I am ok to have some dairy if needed. They checked and they confirmed it was ok to make this for me. When the ice chocolate came however, the first thing I found was this really big hard lump (is it excited to see me..? :p) I thought it was the base of the glass but oh no, turns out it was a huge lump of unmelted chocolate. Wtf?! I thought they use chocolate sorbet? How could it be not melted? Why is it not even cold? More like lukewarm? There are also little shards of chocolate under it. It was seriously hard to drink this as the straw kept getting clogged up with chocolate bits. I had to eventually do the most unladylike thing and scoop the huge chocolate chunk out and gnaw on it to get rid of it. I did mentioned this to the waiter but he only apologized and said he would feed this back to the barista and told me that they are worried about burning the milk. But but but... It's supposed to be chocolate sorbet!! I seriously wasn't sure whether it's because I ordered soy that this whole thing didn't work out or is it normally like this? We also had a chocolate and green tea sable and that was really nice. Not too sweet with a delicious green tea flavour. All in all I might give this place a month or so to settle in and come back and give it another go. I will need to get around trying their cakes, although they seemed to be the same cakes as the ones they used to have in Chez Dre and I found their cakes too sweet for my liking.

Amazing cake!! Not too sweet. You can buy whole cake which cost about $40 but I think it is not expensive!

This place is said to have THE best macarons in Melbourne. That is a bold statement and it is accurate. I got a box of all their flavors to find out which ones I'd like and another box of flavors I'm pretty sure I would love: green tea, salted caramel and hazelnut. Their green tea macaron is heaps better than the ones I've had from L.A. (Bottega Louie, Mitsuwa and small shops in Japantown). Their hazelnut macaron is better than (I'm sorry I'm not being a traitor) Laduree. There! I said it! They have the usual chocolate, vanilla, rose, lavender, raspberry, etc. Those were good but really, you have to have green tea, salted caramel and hazelnut. The macarons come in cute boxes. Just like Laduree and Bottega Louie, if you don't ask for the hard box - they'll give you the flimsy box. You have to pay extra for the hard box but if you're transporting them elsewhere, it's worth it. They currently only have 2 locations. If you're in Melbourne, you need to find this place.

It's a cute little shop, with the feel of a story book setting and tucked in a small alley of Melbourne's walkway - quaint and adorable! On display, there are a few choices of elegant pastel colored pastries. Although flavours here are quite limited, each one they served tasted extraordinary! Every flavour here is delicious and each has its distinct taste from fruity and floral to chocolatey fantastic! At $2.60-$2.80 a piece, it's a small price for the luxurious quality they served. Some of my favourites: salted caramel, Paris brest filled with hazelnut (a must!), grey earl and chocolate and blueberry and violet! These are probably the best macarons I've ever had! Yes, to me, La Belle Miette tasted better than the famed Bottega Louis in Los Angeles. I'm in LOVE!

The black sesame macaroon had no real flavour of black sesame. It was quite unfortunate, but the macroon still had that thin crisp layer that cracks to reveal a chewier sweet center. The deluxe strawberry cheesecake however did have various flavours running through it that gave it a cheesy, sweet cheesecake experience. It was even rolled in cookie crumbs for that extra bit of authenticity. Plus the strawberry layer was packed with strawberry goodness. The mini cupcakes do look very cute, and they have some interesting flavours available. So would I come back? Yep, and I'd try another deluxe macarons or perhaps a Rose Pistachio cupcake. Mmm, I haven't been able to stop thinking about that one.

Something that makes Noisette unique is speciality items made for French festive calendar events like Galette des Rois and Buche de Noel.
