Salted caramel, hazelnut & vanilla macarons
    Vanessa B.

Our favourite place to get our macrons while in Melbourne - this place never disappoints. We decided on buying just 6 as an Easter treat for ourselves. We got our favourite flavours vanilla, hazelnut and of course salted caramel. These just remind us of the ones we had while in Paris, they are just perfect and are always a must while visiting this amazing state :)

Every single flavour from La Belle Miette in Melbourne.

This place is amazing. Small little nook in a lane way, but the best macarons I have ever put into my mouth. The best French macaron place near me (Sydney) is La Renaissance Cafe Patisserie and this place is on par, even in my opinion, a little bit better! It was my birthday so I went ballistic and bought all of the flavours and got the expensive box to put them in too. I ate every single flavour and I'm going to be cliche but my favourite was the Salted Caramel. Do yourself a favour while in Melbourne - please stop by and sample a few of the macarons here, they are incredible!

A simple delight. Darling space, lovely staff and fabulous macaron. The 70% cacao chocolate macaron is divine. It's a heady hit of chocolate goodness without the slight bitterness of most dark chocolate AND without the guilt that comes from a massive piece of chocolate cake! A regular haunt for me when in need of an instant uplift!

OH MY GOD! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I never really understood the whole macarons craze that recently swept through Melbourne until I came to La Belle Miette. The shop is one of the cutest little places I have ever been into. I want to marry the lady who owns it so I can get my hands on the keys and rummage through the perfectly made little boxes for any sign of more of the sensory delights. The people who work here use white gloves to handle the product, this is justified as they are as precious as any jewel. Flavours range from the simple delicious raspberry to the exotic cherry blossom & sake. With a total of 16 flavours you are sure to fall in love with at least half of them.

    Cute boxes

La Belle Miette is a gorgeous little macaroon shop in Hardware Lane, close to nearly everyone living with the limits of CBD. They have about two dozen flavours of perfectly crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside in beautiful colour combinations. The boxes are novelly designed, beautiful, colourful, fun and something that is literally going to look like an expensive gift without the hefty price tag. The staff have consistently been amazing throughout the times that I have been there.

    Yummy in my tummy!

This is my second time here!!! Loving it so far , buying it and bringing back to Singapore to share the love. The pastel color macarons says, "BUY ME, BUYYYY MEEEE!!" They are both beautiful and yummy, texture and taste is so much better than Laduree and PH.

She was very happy when she seen them. The staff in the shop were very helpful and accommodating. For 4 small cupcakes it cost $18 dollars and were ready fresh made after 1 day. Which I felt was a bargain. The taste was as good as the design!! So if your looking for a birthday cake or cupcake designs for a special occasion or just for any old reason for a cupcake, drop in here!!

The black sesame macaroon had no real flavour of black sesame. It was quite unfortunate, but the macroon still had that thin crisp layer that cracks to reveal a chewier sweet center. The deluxe strawberry cheesecake however did have various flavours running through it that gave it a cheesy, sweet cheesecake experience. It was even rolled in cookie crumbs for that extra bit of authenticity. Plus the strawberry layer was packed with strawberry goodness. The mini cupcakes do look very cute, and they have some interesting flavours available. So would I come back? Yep, and I'd try another deluxe macarons or perhaps a Rose Pistachio cupcake. Mmm, I haven't been able to stop thinking about that one.

I tried their Hot Chocolate & dessert cake, called "Monte Carlo". It's a Chocolate mousse with cafe creme & chocolate biscuit covered with milk chocolate glaze. The glaze outside was shinny, smooth, and light, which is perfect for me. Texture, creamy, but not too sweet. Dessert was great, and Hot Chocolate too. Located in the city, 5 to 7 minutes away from Flinders Street railway station by train (Melbourne, Victoria). A cute, nice, fancy French bakery/cafe in the city, nothing can be better than spend a free day with your friends/love/family at Laurent. Services and staffs are great! I didn't have to wait for long, they take good order, and give you great recommendations, and ask for your opinions after. Customers will always feel welcomed, and happy when the staffs are always smiling. Overall, great place + dessert! Try it out, if you have a chance, definitely worth it. Love and miss this place.

The breads are sourdough leavened which means they are not coeliac friendly. My favourites are the whole grain sourdough, baguettes, Pain de Mie (brioche loaf), chocolate Viennoise and the garlic sourdough that has whole cloves of sweet roasted garlic. Noisette in my opinion make the best and most authentic, flaky, buttery croissant and Pain au Chocolat. Also on offer are hand made chocolates, beautiful patisserie: cakes - individual and occasion sized - macarons, danish, tarts, sable breton, brownies and more. Something that makes Noisette unique is speciality items made for French festive calendar events like Galette des Rois and Buche de Noel. David was one of the Patissier/ Boulangeres that came to Australia to start up Laurent, so you may see a similarity in the sandwiches, filled baguettes and Croque Monsieur. But I think they are much better value here plus half portions are available. You can practice your French on the cheery staff and they happen to make a decent coffee too. Is it any wonder I've been a regular since they opened?

Those noobs went over to Trampoline while I walked into Lindt Chocolat Cafe and they have absolutely no clue what glorious desserts they were missing out on. And my friend had the nerve to take a bite of his gelato and tell me that I made the wrong decision. Ohohoho~ Cookies and Cream Ice Cream with Hot Fudge drizzled on top and 3 delicious macarons. I most definitely did not make a wrong decision. The Ice Cream had the perfect flavour and consistency not to mention brilliantly complimented the fudge. The macarons were absolutely delicious, but were a bit too pricey for what they were worth I think but that's okay. Overall, Lindt Chocolat Cafe is cheap, but a bit more expensive than other dessert spots you'll find in Melbourne. However, they don't skimp on the quality so definitely treat yourself to Lindt every once in a while.

The entrance is inviting and sparkling, yet there is a bit of disappointment as you enter the establishment. The chocolate is tempting, however your much better off financially buying Lindt chocolate in any supermarket around Melbourne looking at the price tags. It is small and crowded (the latter would be expected for being the first day of opening) although the small layout is disappointing; and it was nice to have been given a two for one drinks voucher and one of their Lindor balls on the house. The staff are friendly, yet the prices can be a little over the top. Their iced and hot chocolates (milk varieties) are to die for, enjoy and experience at least once. Decided to give their ice cream a go. One scoop is $7 here, so again a bit pricey - you would be better off heading to nearby Calatrava or Baci. Tried their Black Forest ice cream; it was filling and did leave a bitter Lindt dark chocolate aftertaste in my mouth. Sorry guys, however I am not coming back here in a hurry.
