Love this place. Kids are the staff. Maybe they are the owner's kids working here for the summer. That seems to be a trend around Bar Harbor. I mean, I dont blame them, that sounds like an awesome summer job. The coffees are excellent and the space is cool. It is more of a loungy place with comfy chairs. I dont think I would bring a computer here to work. It doesnt seem comfortable for that. Also they sell some chocolate treats too. read more

I got a dark roast brewed coffee in an airpot that you pump. The coffee was warm, not hot, and I noticed another reviewer's mom mentioned the same issue. And it was a pinch weak. The chocolatte was freshly brewed with Mexican chocolate and was pretty good. We didn't eat in this cool looking place with a retro decor but the food smelled good. read more

The Mexican hot chocolate was great but there were a couple of clumps of cinnamon in it. The staff was very friendly, I would recommend getting a hot drink and walking around the harbor. read more

We stopped here looking for a decent iced coffee. The barista persuaded me to try the mocha latte iced. I asked for it less sweet and it was delicious! It was almost like a dirty chai with the spices. The barista was super friendly. I would definitely go back! read more

I stopped in here about four times during my stay in Bar Harbor. Overall, a really great spot! They have a fairly extensive drinks menu, and make their own flavored syrups. I tried out two flavored lattes, iced cuban coffee. If you aren't a fan of super-sickly sweet lattes this is the place for you! They were flavored perfectly and had balanced espresso shots, on top of that I received latte art on my drinks every time. Their food menu is on the smaller side as far as breakfast selections go but for breakfast it works. Over my stay I enjoyed a breakfast burrito, lemon poppy muffin, and some of their chocolate truffles! My husband's breakfast sandwich looked like it was sat on, but the food did come out fast. Now for the negative points - the cafe was a little... Dirty. Nothing gross, but every time I was there I had to clean up the table before I sat or brush someone else's crumbs off the seat. The staff all appeared pretty young so I get it, but just some more attention to detail in that area is always appreciated. :) read more

Really great spicy Mexican chocolate. Extra charge for whipped cream, but it's worth it. The Internet is pretty slow, so not a great place to get work done with a computer. Good place to sit down and read a book. Relatively quiet and the food looked pretty good. read more

I walked a really far way in some blazing heat for an espresso only to find out that the place I was searching for was named a cafe and came up here as a coffee place...but only served drip coffee. Womp womp....after walking back and an unfortunate experience at another place, I resigned myself to just going back to my Hotel. However I decided to give this place a try after seeing it was so close to my hotel. So glad I did! It was clean, the espresso was tasty, and they had a bunch of do it yourself accoutrements on the side to add if you like. I didnt get any pastries (they didnt look the best though) but that coffee hit the spot! Have no idea why the other place I tried is rated higher than this place! read more

I came here multiple times and the few food items they have all taste artificial. A simple bagel with butter had a rancid taste and I tried a really over-salted everything bagel with chive cream cheese that was bright green due to artificial coloring. Not to mention the cafe latte. I have never had anything like that. I suspect they use half and half creamer instead of milk. read more

My boyfriend's mocha was just ok but they failed 2 times making me a dry cappuccino. Honestly I would have settled for a wet cappuccino but they kept making me a latte. My first cappuccino started out as a 16oz but then I ended up with small. So I paid for a really expensive tiny latte that wasn't even good and after a few sips threw out. I bought a dark roast from the farmers market which was significantly cheaper and better. read more

This place is an absolute gem!!! They make all their own bagels and bakery treats, as well as use some organic ingredients on the breakfast sandwiches! Their cold brew coffee is to die for. They have a large selection of add ons to add to your coffee including raw organic sugar and agave. This is one of the best places to go in bar harbor; it's a must! I live on MDI, and decent cafes and coffee are surprisingly hard to come by. This is my go to place. I've had the regular coffee, lattes, iced coffee (my favorite), and a couple different hot chocolates. All are delicious! I ONLY wish they would serve some baked goods. You can get a plain bagel, and they also sell some fancy looking chocolate truffles, I've had neither. A good coffee just calls for a delicious muffin... Please Choco-Latte? Went in the off season. Food: Had breakfast sandwiches. Warm, tasty, reasonably priced. Service prompt, friendly. Chocolate: I'm picky and like dark drinking chocolate. What they serve is more run of the mill sweet milk chocolate, like you get with a powder. Just so you know what to expect. They were between chocolatiers, so can't comment. read more

Came in to grab a quick coffee and bagel. The line was long. When I finally got to the counter, I saw a sign that said their credit card machine was broken. I ordered a drip coffee and bagel with PB. The coffee was okay. Had to ask at the counter for skim milk because they only had cream and whole out. The woman didn't say anything - just grabbed a gallon jug and put in on the counter. The bagel took a few minutes - which was perplexing. Got to the car and realized they didn't give me PB, which I paid extra for, but by then I was in a hurry. Really nice cafe with comfortable seats and couches. Lots of reading material, fast WiFi, friendly service. And good coffee too! We sat here for a long time as we needed to use the internet for some important stuff. Only bought two coffees and the place was busy but they didn't seem to mind us hanging around in the least.
