We generally eat at some kind of asian restaurant before heading home. This time we went to Cho Lon. It's hard to judge asian restaurants in Europe coming from California where asian food is prevalent and pricing so much cheaper (then again everything seems to be more expensive in Switzerland). Cho Lon was okay but I feel like we've had better for equivalent prices in Geneva. Though service was pretty good.

Not a super large spot, there's a restroom when you enter which is a little odd, but the interior decor felt like your typical fusion asian place.

There seemed to be a mixture of food types served which made me feel like it wasn't purely Vietnamese. They served some Thai dishes and some dishes which felt Chinese. So I would have to say this place is a mish mash of different asian cuisines.
We got the ban cuon which was pretty good. Typical. You get three rolls with a dish of fish sauce. The fish dish we got in a clay pot was pretty good. It was basically catfish with the bones in a sweet sauce. The veggies we also got was okay. Nothing mind blowing.
I was able to taste the two pork dishes which were basically strips of pork deep fried in various different sauces. They were crisp which was good.
Again pricing was a heart attach considering for the amount you get and the quality it's about 3-4 times the price but...this is typical in Geneva. Just be aware that you just need to get ready to pay around 30-40 CHF.

My boyfriend's family typically comes here so the owners know them well and actually gave them a gift which was really sweet. I'm sure they appreciate their service and frequent coming to their restaurant so I'm glad they appreciate their customers. The service was prompt and good. They're not brash which is typical of folks in the area.

As I mentioned, I've only been to one other asian spot and I feel like it was better than here for the quality and quantity. It does have a good ambiance and there was a nice couple next to us having a date so it's good for that. So if you're needing a change from your day to day french/italian cuisine, this might be a spot to try. read more
