However, the roast duck and the sizzling beef are dissapointed. The roast duck is overwhelmed with watery sauce, which they can make a soup out of it. The sizzling stir fry beef to me is only a gimmic than anything else. Overall, the service is great The portion of each dish is smaller than I expected. In terms of quality, and presentation, this restaurant will have a hard time competing in modern urban city like Paris, Vancouver, London, and Toronto. However, because it is locations around Annecy you don't really have much other similar choice around here.

I discovered Fan House as it was adjacent to the Airbnb where I was staying. I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding food. It was far superior to almost every Chinese restaurant that I have dined at during my whole life in the Los Angeles area! Like most French restaurants you are able to taste every ingredient in the dish. It is hard to find a bad restaurant in France and this restaurant meets the high standards that the French are known for. I highly recommend Fan House. You will not find this restaurant by just walking down the street. It is tucked away in a passageway with other little shops off of Rue Sommelier and Rue Vaugelas. Look for the marquee of the Le Garage Disco and it will be right inside opposite Le Garage. It is also adjacent to the Pré Carré in the heart of the city near Bonlieu. I have since, dined there several times and very pleased every time that I have gone.

Nicely prepared tables and large windows without the usual asian kitsch appealed us to come in and try. There are concise a la carte options as well as their flagship menu which gives you a good variety of vietnamese dishes. From nems , dimsum soup as starter or crispy duck as main meal it was all delicious. Service was outstanding and attentive , and prices correct.
