I was too excited for the food that I forgot to take a picture of it. My partner and I each got a burrito and shared some fries. The food itself is really good but we did think the size was a bit on the small side to be considered a "large burrito". I really enjoyed this place the first time I came here in 2019. I had the Korean beef burrito. The owner was so sweet and reminded me to try out the sauces on the side with my burrito! I remember the beef being plentiful and the salad inside adding a slight spicy, sweet, tangy wonderful flavor. the sauces added the right amount of heat! Today, I finally got around to trying them again. I decided to get the same burrito and a spicy pork taco this time. I had to use grubhub this time. I'm not sure if it's their fault or the owners but there was no information about sauces so I assumed they come included with the burrito and chips. My order arrived without any sauces. Anyway, I understand now why some of the reviews ding the meats... they truly taste like they are in the same marinade. Spicy pork was dry and was not at all spicy. The beef in the burrito was still plentiful and still delicious as I remember. However, this time the korean/radish salad included tasted of straight apple cider vinegar (or whatever vinegar is used)... I did not mind too much... but if you have a hard time with overly acidic foods I would pass on the cabbage/radish salads. Overall, I would still eat here especially when I have korean mexican fusion cravings and I would still recommend it... but remember sauces and maybe ask for light salad? DELICIOUS. We wanted to grab a quick lunch and happened to notice this little hole in the wall place from down the street. We tried pork, beef, and chicken tacos, a chicken rice ball, and tortilla chips. They have a whole list of sauces to choose from, we tried WTF, pepper sauce, spicy Mayo, mystery sauce, and sweet and spicy. Not a bad thing in the whole lot. The tacos were delicious, the sauces amazing(my favorite was the pepper sauce and the Spicy Mayo). The pork is indeed spicy as the menu describes, and the beef had a bulgogi-esque flavor. The guy working the counter was super friendly and patient with us staring at the menu for five minutes while ordering. 100% would go back and recommend. read more

This is a great place for to-go or Grubhub but if you're one of the lucky few who can find a seat then have a chat with Chi, the owner, as he's a great guy to talk with. LOVE THE ENVIRONMENT! I got to meet the owner today, first time I had ever been in there, he was friendly, outgoing and personable. He had me sample the spicy chicken and beef, both of which he had marinating for two days! They were packed with flavor, much like how this spot is packed with personality! As I waited (only a couple minutes might I add), for two delicious tacos, I was given a sample of the noodle soup, also fantastic. Everything was handmade and fresh. Next time I will make it my goal to try all of the sauces! Extremely satisfied with every aspect of this great location. I got the spicy chicken taco and it was delicious. Upon arrival, I informed the server that it's my first time at their restaurant, and she helped me decide on what to order. I got the chance to talk to the chef as it was a pretty slow day and he told me how the food is prepared and how this style of taco is different than the others. Its all about the Spices used! It was great watching how the tacos were layered and how fast things move in the kitchen. There is street parking available and not much siting option available either. Its better to take the food to-go instead. Definitely won't be able to fit in large parties as the space is very compact. Prices seemed reasonable. read more

I'm not sure what all these 5 star reviews are about but let me break something down, this place rocks if you enjoy mediocre "fusion" food. Korean food is on the top of my list of foods I love, followed soon after by Mexican. I don't know what all the hype about this place is for cause it was a big plate of disappointment for me. Ordered three tacos, two beef, one spicy chicken. I only finished the meat out of respect for the animals that lost there lives to be so poorly prepared. The beef, which I assume they are going for a watered down bulgogi, should just be cal a bumgogli, cause it was a big old bummer. If they aren't going for a bulgogi they just need to find a new recipe. The beef was definitely the cringiest part of the meal, with it just being soggy. The spicy chicken was better then the beef, how ever it was overly saturated in the spicy sauce which made my tortillas just disintegrate as I was eating them, the whole thing just became a giant mess. read more

You really can't go wrong with Chi's, ever. If you're in town for a short time and are comparing food joints, look no further. This is your place, trust me. The vibe is uniquely Eugene, though there isn't much room for dine-in. The decor is so quirky and charming if you do happen to go inside. Everything on the menu is awesome, but my favorite is to get a box lunch with beef, douse the whole thing in awesome sauce (yes, there is an array of delicious homemade sauces), and add some homemade chips on top. Perfection. We ordered lunch on my husband's birthday, and Chi sent a free taco with stickers and birthday messages. (aww) We order out maybe once or twice a month, but he always remembers us. I moved here from LA a few years ago. I missed Kogi Korean Taco truck, which use to park around the corner from my house on a regular basis. I viewed the opening of Chi's with a mixture of excitement and suspicion because if you've ever had Kogi's, you know, it's a hard act to follow. I can say, 100%, that my first meal at Chi's did not disappoint in the least. I had a bowl, with tofu and kimchee, accented with a few of their house sauces. I ordered 1 spicy chicken and 1 spicy pork tacos. Both came with two tortillas, topped with a good amount of meat, pickled Korean radish [sort of like a Japanese daikon radish] and sesame seeds. Both the meats had some flavor, but not very distinctive. I think they used the same marinade on both meats. The meats were a bit dry for me. The radish added a bit of crunch but only minimal flavor. There were four sauces, all of them flavorful and added both needed heat and moisture to the meats, witch helped bring everything together. Overall I was expecting something that represented the bold flavors of Korea and that didn't happen. They food was disappointing and I can't recommend this place. read more

Visited Chi's this weekend. Chi and every one in there were very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious!! We ordered a beef bowl, pork bowl, side of kimchi, beef taco and pork taco. Chi gave us a sample of the Italian Wedding soup (soup of the day) which was warm and appreciated on a cold day. The Korean salad was good with a unique flavor. We added a coffee and lg soda to our order, and it was only $20!! Tasty AND affordable!! SCORE!! Be prepared, though, the space is very small. There is one table that sits 2 and a lunch counter-type set-up against the wall with stools. Probably, pretty crowded if there are more than 5 or 6 people in there. So, my family knows tacos. My grandma was Ecuadorian and Spanish food was our normal. I love tacos. So it feels very strange to say that my favorite tacos in the county are the korean tacos from this place. The pork tacos specifically. First off, Chi is amazing. This food is all homemade and SO DELICIOUS. They have breakfast too, until 10:30am. The beef bulgogi is sooo delicate it just melts in your mouth. Chi is so kind. Our first time here he wanted us to try a bit of everything. The soup, the kimchi, the pickled radish, the meats... everything is tasty.
