Despite the intense heat we had fun and no one got sunburned. They had shade, cold water available, parking is very close so you can go sit down in your car and turn on the AC if you need to. All equipment is available to you if you need it. I brought my friend who has never even seen a gun in person. Paula and her team were so professional, she even got a one on one first. They took their time to be with her and help her. She left very capable of managing an arm if she ever needs to. She had a blast and it was another level of empowerment for her. My other friend is a great shooter. He decided to still take the safety course because we always learn something new. He had a blast too and enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be coming back because I need more practice and we all know that here in California it's difficult for me as a female to get into the range. I recommend this club and would suggest that you try checking it out at least once.

Daniel was a great instructor who made the class interesting and easy to follow. He gave excellent instruction and we felt safe when we went to the live shooting portion. He gave me a few tips and techniques that definitely helped as I continued to familiarize myself with my new pistols. When it was time to take my CCW course, I returned to Daniel and things went great as well. The class is twice the length, but he was still able to keep it entertaining and engaging. The only thing I'd change is when it comes to the mental health portion. He makes it known that he doesn't like the fact that he has to teach that portion because he's not a mental health expert. He's not a lawyer, but has no issue teaching the legal portions. He's not a health expert but brings someone in to discuss dressing wounds, tourniquets, etc. So it would be nice to have him embrace the importance of the mental health portion of the class. Outside of that, the class is great! If you're looking for a basic pistol course or getting your CCW, I highly recommend Daniel and First Step Shooting.

I was schedule for a cleaning. Got there and Sean looked at my weapons and said these don't really need cleaning. They're just dry. He oiled them up, fixed a pin on my safety and sent me on my way. They wouldn't accept even the smallest gratuity. They could have charged me hundreds of dollars for cleanings but instead provided a free service and a smile. Truly great Americans. Apparently, members are allowed to skip to the front of the line -- but no one tells you that when you check in. The receptionist simply directs everyone to stand in line without explaining the membership priority. Watching people walk straight to the front while you've been waiting a long time is pretty frustrating, especially when that policy isn't clearly communicated upfront. This place really needs better organization and customer service. Clear communication would make a huge difference. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend coming here.
