My baby had severe colic, in fact I've never met a baby who cries so much. When we came here the first time the next 24 hours I had a completely different baby, the 2nd time didn't seem to help much. I will say she did notice my baby had a tongue & lip tie and after getting that corrected we have had a new baby. Rebecca Kleckner was recommended by my midwife. She works wonders when you are pregnant and having some pains. Her hands know to touch where it is you need the adjustment. The place is wonderful very kid friendly. If you think your baby doesn't sleep, eat well, or have regular bowel movements but you'd rather try something out of the ordinary. We'll try checking out Kids Rising. She has a room with toys specially for kids. She adjusts them while they are playing. Both my 5 year old and my 21 month old have been seen by her. I started going to Kids Rising after we discovered my daughter had severe tongue tie and was refusing to nurse. Dr. Becky is amazing!! I'd give her 10 stars if I could. I wasn't a big believer is chiropractors before I met her. I had horrible back pain when I was pregnant and it was dramatically better after seeing her one time. My son had sever reflux and she gave us life changing pro-biotics and helped him poop when days went by and he didn't!! Anybody w/ a baby w/ any kind of digestive issue needs to see Dr. Becky!! I was scared to take my teeny tiny baby to her, thinking he'd be adjusted like an adult is w/ lots of neck cracking etc. But she was so gentle and he was just a couple weeks old, he slept through most of it, to me watching it, looked like he was just getting a massage. She had a completely current and holistic knowledge tongue and lip ties and her understanding of complete body health is refreshing in a world saturated with Westernized medicine. After her and a wonderful Lactation consultant diagnosed our daughter with tongue and lip ties, our daughter went to a dentist she recommended and immediately began improving in breastfeeding and dexterity after having laser surgery. By the way he topically numbed her, then injection numbed, then careful laser usage. What a relief considering causing any discomfort or pain to your child can be excruciating for the parent as well. Dr. Becky has a magic touch and treats the whole person, not just your out-of-sync self. I went to Dr. Becky for prenatal chiro care since my baby was sitting in the breech position. A week and 3 appointments later, my body was in-line and my baby turned! I continue to see Dr. Becky to keep everything in line in the hopes for a natural childbirth. She suggested ways to improve my posture and day-to-day activities which will encourage my body to stay in-line. Dr. Becky was very welcoming and friendly. She knew how to connect with my daughter who suffers from anxiety and other things because of her condition. During our first visit dr. I was referred to Dr Jarman at Foresight. I had 4 sessions, and he was very gentle and explained everything. The was no popping or jerky movements. It did not help reflux, but it did help with sleep and nursing on his difficult side! Baby was so relaxed he slept 10-14 hours straight after appointments. I would have to wake him to feed him. Alas, Jarman was in Gilbert and I live in North Phoenix, so I was referred closer to home at Kids Rising when my boy was refusing left breast and sleeping poorly at 12 weeks of age (when babies are supposed to start sleeping better). I heard so many good things, but was very disappointed. When we first day down to discuss issues and she was reading my intake form she gave pause when I stated that he had all his 2 month vaccinations. Then she asked about possibly feeding him while side lying - but then gave me a disappointed look when I said he was sleeping in his crib (not co sleeping). When she heard he was still swaddled at at 12 weeks, she lost it. Told me that if I swaddled past 8 weeks I was creating a child that was disconnected from his body and would become violent at kindergarten age. That he wouldn't know how to hug, but only act aggressive for physical connection. She said that I needed to start sleeping him on his stomach immediately. I have no problem with stomach sleeping, but I dont have an issue with swaddling either. She told me she should know as she did her post doctoral studies in neurodevelopmental disorders. Uhmm...ok, moving on. She looked in his mouth said did his tongue looked mobile and good and then started taking about having his lip and tongue ties cut. I said that he was obviously getting enough food (15.5 pounds at 12 weeks) so I don't believe doing that unnecessarily and that my cousin, a speech pathologist of 20 years, who is trained to determine when lip and tongue ties are problematic, looked at him previously and said he looked great and he didn't need any surgery. She then watched me nurse and commented about what I was doing wrong. I let her know that he was really hungry and distracted in new place so latch wasn't as good as typical. She inspected his mouth again and noted how mobile his tongue was as how good his suck was before again bringing up cutting his lip and tongue ties. I reiterated that I was not interested. She stated that she understood but that I would regret it later. Her son had to have his done at 7 years old because of bed wetting and picky eating. It would be better if I did it now while he was young and it healed quicker. What?! I said that I didn't see the correlation and she went on some rant about pollution in environment causing lip and tongue ties. When I asked her what percentage of her clients needed ties cut she said 90%!!! I should have run then but didn't. During and after I fed my boy she was evaluating him for adjustment. I said I was not interested in hard popping adjustments but wanted more gentle approach. She said there is rarely any popping when she adjusts. She laid him over her knee and without discussing what she was doing she popped his whole back. I was aghast, but she just kept talking. She started to lay him down and grab his head and I stopped her and said I didn't want hard adjustments trying to discuss other options. She stood up thrust my baby at me and said "I thought you came to me for help, obviously not as you won't let me do my job". I told her my baby was 12 weeks old, so I hoped she could understand why I was nervous. She told me she guessed she was past that and didn't understand why I would be nervous. She said that she would not pop his neck but move his head and allow vertebra to slide in....what did she do? Jerk his head and pop his neck. Before I left office at end of visit she brought up cutting lip and tongue ties a third time. When I refused again she scoffed "do you work with children everyday for a living? I don't think so, so you probably don't know". I stated that I thought it might be a procedure that is over prescribed (ie. ADHD, autism, etc). Let me guess, she has a friend who is great at the procedure that she can refer me to? Do I smell kickbacks?I didn't even get into all the crazy things she says during the appointment. She lad a long list of crazy things I should do and if I questioned or tried to discuss any of it, she took issue. If you truly believe in what you are doing you usually welcome questions add discussion. If you want to pay top dollar to hear every wild unscientific theory on the internet and you are ok with a practitioner that will not allow you to ask questions, by all means, go to Kids Rising. If you are a "thinking parent" that makes decisions for your child based on scientifically proven data, steer clear. She is rude and unprofessional and very possibly unethical. read more
