Try to contact via phone but can no longer call facility directly. Have to call a number that keeps rerouting to billing or scheduling & there service redirects you but never to anyone human. Worst experience!! Made an appointment for a breast ultrasound. I got a text messages with what the price would be and in that text message it explains how it's an estimate. Get to my appointment and I only had to pay a little over $27. I thought awesome. Get a bill a month later wanting $ 546 and saying their not in network. I called and talk to 3 people including the director. Saying they can't believe this happened. The front desk should have caught that we don't take your insurance. I even checked and went to the website and on there they take it. Thought I did my job. Then the director tells me she's going to go over everything and send you a bill with the out of pocket pricing. Its been now 6 months and I just got a bill from a collection company for the Solis bill. This collection bill doesn't even have minus the money I paid that day. I just got off the phone with billing saying they are going to retract the bill in collections and minus the money and resend it in collections. Not send me the bill from them minus the money. Now I go to Smil and they make you feel so comfortable and safe there. They have compassion for there customers and don't rush you out the door. Whatever you do.. DO NOT GO TO SOLIS!! read more

I went to Solis in late December 2024 as my insurance provider advised that they were in network. I live in Arizona so not sure why yelp has me as San Francisco. I advised the mammogram technician that I had pre-existing spot on my left breast in the 8 o'clock position. I stated I've had it for 25 years so please make a note of it. Whether she did or not, I have no idea. Several days later I received a call stating that I needed to come in for an ultrasound as the radiologist has noticed something abnormal in the scan. I again asked, "is it on the left side in the 8 o'clock position"? The person on the phone said yes but that something must be different as the radiologist wants you to come in. On my second appointment, I asked the technician a 3rd time, is this needed? I've had this for over 25 years. Answered yes and she and another tech were coming in and out of the room between another mammogram and doing an ultrasound. Meanwhile.....on the tech's computer screen in the room, the truth was told. It had "Penrad.....revenue optimization work flow plan".....going across the screen. The 2 tech's came back in and advised that "everything was fine and it was just as I said". We're sorry". Of course they weren't sorry when they billed me and my insurance company $948. I guess that was the revenue optimization. Someone must have needed to make their car payment and needed more revenue. Will never go there again. read more

I have been a patient at Solis Health since the old days when they operated under the name of Ben Ora. They still offer the same excellent service with a warm and friendly staff, very little waiting time for services and a clean and comfortable atmosphere. From top to bottom, the staff is outstanding! Ironically, when I went yesterday to get my mammogram, as I was sitting in the parking lot just about to exit my car, a commercial came on the radio, advertising their services....I had never heard an ad on the radio for Solis Health before and the fact that I was on my way to my appointment there at the time it came on was crazy! They lived up to every bit of advertising in the radio ad. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

never again. I've been a patient here many years and the decline is suboptimal. I don't expect a lot in these conveyor belt operations but this was shocking. The receptionist and techs were nice and efficient. And that's the good part. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, the air inside was cold and they leave you waiting in the little cape. The equipment was freezing. And for those with compromised immune systems, it's mask optional, and none of the staff is masked. And for women who prefer to have female doctors in this situation, this one has a man. I hate giving any women a reason for getting these vital tests done but seriously, go elsewhere. read more

I had a mammogram at my regular doctors office and was asked to go for further imaging/ultrasound. My doctor told me to go to Solis and they would call me to schedule an appointment. I received a phone call from a scheduler at a 1-800 number and it took them 6 weeks to schedule me an appointment (very long in my opinion). I received an automated reminder message from Solis a few days before my appointment. That was all the interaction I had with them prior to my appointment. Fast forward, and I show up on appointment day with my 5 year old daughter with me. It was not ideal for me to bring her but it took them six weeks to schedule me and I took the first/day time they could get me in which happened to be a day school was out that I did not realize when I booked. My daughter has been to a lot of medical appointments with me including my last dental appointment and my original mammogram. In both incidences, they had her wait outside the room for a few mins while they did the imaging and then she was allowed to sit in the room with me for the remainder of my appointment. I have never had a medical provider be rude about this. This has been the case with any medical appointment I have ever brought her to, she just sits on a chair in the room with me. I get checked in at the appointment and they immediately start with what am I going to do with "her." I explain my plan and the woman rudely tells me children should not come to these appointments. I explain, I would have respected that if anyone told me that but this is the first I am hearing about it. The woman tells me it was in my paperwork. I nicely explain I never received any paperwork from her and she huffs. There was a candy bowl in the waiting room and daughter was eating a smarty candy and sitting nicely. The staff goes to bring me back and tells me that my daughter can not be left with the candy bowl. I say no problem, I will just tell her not to eat it. Apparently, she was not satisfied with my response bc she proceeded to pick the candy bowl up and take it with us. I do round one of imagining and go back to sit with my daughter in the waiting area. I then hear the two nurses talking about bringing me back to the room for my ultrasound and what am I going to do with the "her." At this point, I called my mom (I am my daughter's only parent) and ask if she can come pick my daughter up and she agrees too. I tell the staff this. I assumed my daughter would come back with me when I did the ultrasound and sit with me until my mom got there. I was wrong. When they go to bring me back they tell me my daughter can not come. I explain their is nothing dangerous to her in the environment and there is no reason she can't sit with me. The technician proceeds to tell me she can not come because she can not watch her and her back will be to her. I tell her, that is a good thing, as she is my daughter and I will watch her. She proceeds to tell me she is not allowed to come and I must leave her in the waiting area. Now they do do my imagining and the doctor comes in. I immediately tell the doctor I am upset about what happened and if this were my office I would want to know. The doctor was young and clearly not comfortable with me confronting the situation and basically just offered to get the office manager. During all of this my mom comes to pick up my daughter and they won't let her come back to the wait area to get her. I am practical, I get there is office protocol, and the office technician did not make it up and is just doing their job. I am not offended that you don't want my kid there. But come on, I am there because my doctor told me there was a problem with my mammogram. Nerves are already high. Could you maybe just be a little compassionate and empathetic. You see I brought her. You did not ask me to reschedule, so please do not be an a$$! I also gave them one star for the actually appointment. When I was doing the ultrasound the doctor was addressing the technician with what she was seeing and not me. Previously, I have had a prior mammogram that required further images that I did at Valley Radiologist and just had such a better experience there. As the doctor did the ultrasound he talked me through everything he saw and what it meant. This is so much more settling to be addressed directly and have the images explained directly to you. I would never go back to this office. Outside from my experience with my daughter there was no warmth or assurance from any of the staff there to walk you through a 1.5 hour experience that is scary. Instead, they basically made me feel like a burden. I do recognize that the techs were just trying to do their job and the doctor did the best she could. However, if is so imperative to not bring children - such that it impacts your care-that needs to be CLEARLY communicated at the time they set your appointment. read more

The ineptitude and rudeness of the staff was something to behold. I got to the office before my appointment time and had to wait for at least ten minutes behind some patient who kept talking and talking and seemed to have lost something. I sat down and waited some more before the receptionist helped me. The paperwork took a few mins to complete. When i was called back the woman, I believe Beverly was her name, greeted me by asking if i got lost. Because I was so late. I guess she wasn't aware her own office made ME wait. Beverly continued attacking and offending me for some bizarre reason and then refused to do her job. Which was fine because I wasn't about to allow such an unhinged unprofessional person any closer. It was a truly weird and uncomfortable experience. I would never go back. Beverly has zero bedside manner and needs more training before dealing with the public. read more

I have been going to Solis for years... started going when it was Benora... Dr. Hansen did all my ultrasounds, 2 biopsies, helped me through a tumor diagnosis and was just so kind, comforting, and professional. I do not remember when they switched over to Solis, but when Dr. Hansen retired I considered finding somewhere closer to home. Solis then opened an office in Paradise Valley which is closer to home. The last two years at my annual mammogram appointments, I have been sadly disappointed. I booked the first appointment of the day, 8:00 AM so I can get in and out. Both times , the techs have been fantastic and on time. Then, we wait. We wait for the radiologist to show up. 50 MINUTES this last time. I waited 50 minutes! After telling them I was leaving, they said it would be 15 more minutes if that was ok. Because I wanted this done, I stayed. The tech did the US and said it would be two minutes more for radiologist to read the US. Dr. Comes in almost immediately and says," Sorry for the delay." Really!!! She had NO care in the world that she kept me waiting! NONE! And I have no confidence that she did a thorough job reading the results. NONE! I know this happens frequently by comments I overheard from the techs. The techs by the way were fantastic. Professional and apologetic, which they did not need to be. I will be requesting my records and going elsewhere as my time is important to me and apparently not to this organization. I also filled out a survey and asked that I be called... crickets. Awful experiences for two years... UPDATE: I reached out to the manager on 3 different occasions... left a message twice and the third her mailbox was full. I did receive a call from another doctor who said she read my US and everything was clear. Good to know but why bother asking me for info, asking me to call and not returning my phone call? I made an appointment with Solis for June 11th, 2018. On Friday before the Monday appointment, they called to say a doctors' order was required (their letter to me says an order isn't required). I told them I didn't have a doctor's order (which I stated when I made the appointment and they said was ok), although I did have an upcoming appointment with Dr. A in July. I said to cancel the appointment if an order was necessary. They called back saying they had spoken with a Solis supervisor, and, even though Dr. A required an order (Solis didn't), they would go ahead and do the mammogram and send her a copy. I showed up early at Solis for my appointment on Monday. The receptionist asked if I had gotten her phone message that morning. I said no. She said Solis headquarters was wrong. An order is required because Dr. A says it is. Solis had called Dr. A that morning and she refused to give an order until after my appointment with her in July (because she hadn't seen me in over a year). I said to take the doctor off my record and do it without a doctor. They said they couldn't do it without a doctor. I asked whether this was a Solis policy or the law. They responded that it was the law. So, they canceled my appointment with me in person, after I had driven all the way there. They said the reason they can't perform a mammogram without a doctor is because if there is a problem, there is no doctor to deal with it. I said that if there were a problem (never has been, not in my family), I could get a doctor at that point. I avoid seeing doctors (medical anything) because they often don't think logically, are not organized, are controlling, and are on power trips. I canceled my appointment with Dr. A. for her part in this. I also avoid seeing doctors because they often can't do anything to make me healthier; they aren't trained that way (they are mostly trained to prescribe medicine and perform surgery). And I have found ways to make myself healthier. My insurance company had recently encouraged me to get a mammogram. The importance of these is emphasized by many sources. But they don't make it easy: 1) They pass laws requiring a doctor in order to get a mammogram (we should be able to obtain medical tests for our own information). 2) Solis could have suggested a doctor they knew who didn't require an order (Solis said most doctors don't require one) and keep the appointment, but they didn't. If I were Solis, I would have a list of doctors on hand who were agreeable to this, for just such an occasion. 3) Solis could have stated in their letter to me that although an doctor's order isn't required, a doctor is. 4) Solis could have communicated the correct information on the phone when the appointment was first made, and during each succeeding phone call. read more
