If you want someone to show up 30 min early, then make the appointment 30 min earlier. Fix your scheduling department. However, I had filled out all the paperwork online, like a good little patient, then there's no reason to show up 30 minutes early. I don't need 30 minutes to put on a gown. Next Carla the technician should be fired immediately! She stated that since I did not show up 30 minutes early that she didn't have the time to do all four MRI's. I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment. Then they kept me in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Then another 10 minutes to change and wait in the changing area to be told I was late and they didn't have the time to do all my scheduled MRI's. It sounds like Carla has a time management problem, not me. Why didn't you get me back there as soon as I walked in and not keep me waiting for 30 minutes. Carla has to be one of the rudest and egotistical technicians I've ever met. I was on time, you don't know how to manage your time. So now, if I expect to get the MRI on my left shoulder, which she refused to do, I will have to pay another copay of $100 just for that and make another appointment somewhere because I will never go anywhere where she is working. SMIL and Honor Health needs to do better. Remember that your main concern are your patients and not your employees attitudes.

The only reason we came here is because the doctor's office chose it. We had everything filled out prior to the appointment and my husband was called back on time BUT it went seriously downhill from there. He is a big man and the tech literally had him squeezed in so tight into the MRI machine then left the room when he became agitated and claustrophobic. He's had a couple before and NEVER had this kind of reaction or been treated this badly by the supposedly trained staff! He had to literally YELL and kick his feet and she said "you have to be in there for 15 minutes so you need to calm down" which just pissed him off even more! There was ZERO compassion! Isn't that why someone goes into the medical field? Unfortunately, he was so upset and traumatized that he didn't get her name. When she finally pulled him out, he needed help to get off the table due to the back injury which was the reason for the MRI in the first place, and she couldn't be bothered and just told him to use the railing on the side. This is the second attempt at getting the MRI because the corporate side of this company completely dropped the ball with getting the insurance authorization completed (their fault, not the insurance company's) so when he went in for the first time at another of their locations (the one at 4045 E Bell), the useless receptionist just said that since they didn't have the auth we could do self-pay! I have no idea how much that would have been but no, the auth was sent. They were incompetent and her attitude was terrible. No way could she have cared any less. So we had to reschedule at this Paradise Valley location. Shockingly, they were able to get the Xrays completed. There were at least 4 other patients while I waited for him who were complaining that they had been waiting for well over an hour for their appointments and again, the attitude from the staff was pathetic. Instead of realizing my husband could not fit into their machine and showing some compassion for the claustrophobic reaction, he got bad and pissy attitudes. Well, to say the least he doesn't take that kind of treatment well AT ALL. Now, we have to try a THIRD location out in Scottsdale in a week because they have an "open" MRI which apparently is a larger machine for people like him. This backs off the further treatment plan with the spinal doctor and delays any further medical help he may require. Thanks a lot, Simon Med (extreme sarcasm). The test itself is pretty gross, you have to drink Barium and roll around like a guinea pig while they xray your stomach. The nurse and the xray tech were both really nice and friendly and explained everything along the way. If you find yourself in a situation where you have to get a GI screen, I would recommend Desert Valley. The staff was polite and professional and made me an uncomfortable experience almost pleasant.

When I got my report read by the radiologist they are extremely dense. Then she asked why I needed an ultrasound afterwards and I told her that I have "extremely" dense breasts from my past 12 mammograms so they always follow with an ultrasound afterwards.
