Do not go here. It is Awful. They charged me for an exam that I did not even perform and I had to fight to get my money back. . To top it off the lady that did my yearly mammogram told me that my breast tissue is not dense. Which she was very wrong. She is not a radiologist. You can't say anything to the patient. When I got my report read by the radiologist they are extremely dense. Then she asked why I needed an ultrasound afterwards and I told her that I have "extremely" dense breasts from my past 12 mammograms so they always follow with an ultrasound afterwards. Zero stars. Had an appointment set up for April 29th, after waiting over a month (Only one facility in the entire Phoenix area will do MRI's for someone with a pacemaker). Yesterday, received a call pushing it out another month! Supposedly, they didn't have a provider. Well. how about taking some of the outrageous rates you charge and hire some! Do you only have one provider in the entirety of the Phoenix area? Unacceptable! Patients are in pain, doctors are waiting for results, surgeries are waiting to be scheduled, etc.! I came here for an MRI. As a cancer survivor I've had several MRI's before with no problems. This day I had a panic attack as soon as I was put in the machine. I asked to be taken out. Both technicians were so kind, caring and understanding. I don't remember both their names but Tina was the MRI tech. She kindly rescheduled me for another day at a location that has a more open MRI. Had a mammogram and breast ultrasound performed here on 11/12. Ultrasound tech spent ages taking images of something she found but informed me she couldn't tell me anything (totally understandable and she was really great). When she was done, she had me wait in a tiny freezing cold waiting room and told me the radiologist would read the images and call me back to talk to me soon. This made me late for work, but I was okay with it because I was a bit freaked out by whatever she found. 45 minutes later, she came back and said never mind, they would call me later that day. I did not get a call, email, or any other form of communication. I received the mammogram results within two days, which recommended I have an ultrasound (the one I already had done). Since then I have called a total of 11 times trying to get any kind of ultrasound results and just get the run around from their overseas call center every time. If I call the local number for this exact location, it kicks me back out to the same call center. I have been told they would expedite the results and I would have them within 24 hours 6 different times and still no results. At this point it's been 2.5 weeks and I still don't know what was seen on that ultrasound. It's gotten so bad that yesterday, I received a call from the call center. I got excited that maybe I would get results. No. They were calling to SCHEDULE the ultrasound recommended from the mammogram - the ultrasound I ALREADY HAD DONE and cannot get results from. At this point I'm planning on driving there and physically walking into the location when they open on Monday and refusing to leave until I have the results. I don't know what else to do. This has caused so much unnecessary worry and effort on my part. I will not be using SimonMed again in the future for anything. read more

With 11:00 and 12:00 appointments for an X-Ray & MRI, I had to,wait an hour for the first X-Ray (which was not ordered by a doctor) , and almost another hour for a doctor ordered X=Ray. Then I had to,wait another for the MRI. MANAGEMENT AND SCHEDULING PERSONNEL SHOULD BE FIRED. it is no wonder that CEOs are being shot. Service SUCKS. WAIT! There is no service. You are treated less than a pig destined for slaughter or any other animal. Is that what they think we are? Animals for slaughter or just A WASTED PIECE OF HUMANITY WAITING TO BE FLEECED BY SIMONMED. The technicians were great: thoughtful, caring, empathetic and very helpful. Management and scheduling, however should be banished to hell! My 1:00 appointment was finally done at 2:00 three hours late. If we are 15 or 30 minutes late, they will cancel and reschedule our appointment. .but them being 2 or 3 hours late is okay with them. If you're going in for a walk-in x-ray, please beware that locations may turn you away. I went to five different locations today and all of them turned me down. All excuses were different and even calling their operations. Number told me that they were all open and doing x-rays just to find out when I get to the location they are not doing x-rays today or even all week. read more

Back at SimonMed for a follow up appointment. I tried the on line registration. I was able to complete most of it but then got hung up on submitting a copy of my insurance card. No matter, I ended up filling out one form in the office. The staff called me in on time. I went through my procedure quickly and efficiently. Staff were personable and friendly. I was asked to stay in the waiting room while a doctor reviewed my results. I was given a thumbs up and went on my way. Large parking lot. read more

I would give this location less than 0 stars if I could. The front office staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. They discuss personal medical information in full hearing of the waiting room and do not seem to understand insurance deductibles. I was overcharged $320.00 the first time I was there and had to contact them for a refund, and during my visit today was given an amount for an out of pocket and when I questioned it, the said they would "run it through my insurance" when I approached the desk 25 minutes later my out of pocket had increased by 3x the amount. When I asked for more details they shrugged. I called my insurance company when I left and they confirmed I had no out of pocket amount due and that no one has contacted them to verify. A waste of time taken off work and I still need another appointment. Horrible customer service here. read more

This has been the absolute WORST experience getting anything scheduled with them! I can not stress enough to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I spent an hour on the phone to schedule a few simple exams with someone in India. I could hardly understand them and they had me on hold multiple times. When we got off the phone I got a message via text that they had scheduled the exams on different days in different locations!? I specifically was on the phone to schedule these for the same day at the same location. That is why it took so long! I called back again and was on the phone for another 30 minutes having them change them back to the same day! A DAY BEFORE THE EXAM they sent me a text saying that one of the exams was moved to a different day! Wtf!? I told them to cancel all the exams and I would go somewhere else! Went to this location for a PET scan. The two main things that I was not happy with......1. was required to pay at time of service based on what SimonMed said was the estimated out of pocket amount. After insurance settled the claim I had overpaid by $80. No one contacted me from SimonMed so I had to research and call them and ask for a refund months later. 2. The scan technician had zero apathy and poor customer service. When done with my scan the tech did not come over to the scan table to tell me next steps or ask if I needed assistance. He shouted from his desk to tell me I was done. Never got up from his desk and leaned over and opened the door from where he was sitting. Will NOT return to this location or any others. read more

Okay first, the gal at the front desk took like 20 extra minutes finding a work-around solution because my insurance provider had initially provided inaccurate information that made a substantial difference in what I owed prior to the appointment. So thankful! I can't remember her name, but I sure hope she gets some kind of credit or incentive for her hospitality and integrity in serving her patients to the best of her ability! (AND I should also mention, I was the LAST appointment for the day!! ...She easily could have prioritized ending her day over saving me 300$ up-front, and a subsequential battle with my insurance provider to be refunded, and no one would have known!- So grateful) I had an OB Ultrasound (Every girl's favorite- Lol) and my sonographer Kristan Hunt was fantastic! I had been putting off the appointment after having a poor experience years earlier getting the same ultrasound done. But Kristan was so quick and thorough I really wish I hadn't! She made a normally uncomfortable experience, as swift, easy, and as stress free as she could! She was clearly well-educated and prepared for my laundry list of questions. My physician was also very happy with how clear and thorough the photos/imaging she captured, effectively documented my condition. Highly recommend not only Kristan, but also the Desert Ridge SimonMed office location for any woman going in for a PCOS related ultrasound. read more

They are really the only imaging option around. So they have a monopoly. I've had an XRay and MRI completed there. The images were fine. One of my doctors said the MRI settings could have been better. I don't know exactly what he was referring to. More importantly, I wasn't pleased with their booking. They are always running behind. I'm not sure if they are like an airline who overbooks every time slot or if they underestimate the time it takes to complete procedures. But unless you're the first one in the door, expect to wait for a long time after your appointed time to be seen. read more

Sadly, I was not impressed! I arrived at my appointment, and when I walked in, the lobby was about 90% full. There were ony a couple chairs left open to sit in. Why is this important or relevant info? Read on and find out. There were 2 gals at the front desk, both greeted me. Both girls also asked me my name. As I said it, I shifted my body to stand in front of the gal to my right. The gal to the left then proceeds to ask all loud and proud what the purpose of my visit was. Que 100 eyes from the lobby peanut gallery now staring at me!! So here I am, already nervous to begin with (I was there for an exam I've never had done before), and a lobby FULL of strangers, having to announce what the purpose of my appointment was. Is that not a HIPPA violation? Do I really need a room full of strangers to know my business? I'm pretty sure the computer screen, conveniently located RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE, would have had that info. Then she handed me a clipboard of paperwork to fill out, which I had already done online. Seems like a waste of paper and time to me. Oh, well. Then, while sitting in the lobby with my now, close friends, all of a sudden, we hear the loud hums and rumbles of an MRI machine. This carried on for 20+ min. As annoyed as I was with the girls at the desk, I couldn't help but feel sorry for them at that point. Those poor girls have to sit there day in and day out listening to that! Big Yikes!! I will now also say that the gal who called me back and performed my exam was awesome! She could tell I was nervous, and she knew it was my first time. She walked me through the process, took time to explain the machine, etc, and was very caring throughout the entire process. Her bedside manner was excellent and really helped ease my nerves. I've had other imaging procedures done in the past, and the environment there was much more warm, welcoming, and comfortable! After my experience here at Simon, I'll most definitely make sure my doctor knows not to send me back here. read more

They advertise walk in chest x-rays until 5pm. I come in at 4:12 pm after the Deer Valley location who advertised they have x-ray until 4:30 said they needed to update their website because they stop doing x-rays at 4pm, sent me over to the Tatum location. They told me at this location that they didn't have anyone that could do x-rays. Why does Simon Med advertise walk in chest x-rays when they cannot accommodate walk in chest x-rays? read more

I was given the run around across all the lines and they finally gave me a date to schedule an exam before my surgery. I took the medication the morning of and fasted only to have them call me an hour before my exam and say they don't even preform the exam at this location. I spoke to a manager days prior and she said I was all good to go. One could say that is bad quality care. read more

This place is a joke. We were sent here after visiting two previous locations whose x ray machines were not operating. The lady at the second location we visited set an appointment up for us at this location when leaving there and said we were all set. When we arrived, they said it would be a few minutes. This was for my 4 year old who had run out of patience at this point after the multiple spots. After 10 min of waiting, I asked how much longer since the "few minutes " estimate was untrue and the same girl told me the x ray tech decided to just take their hour long lunch break. I said we had an appt with a text confirmation that the previous location set up and she said no they don't do appointments and it'll be at least an hour wait now. I had two little ones with me and after a wild goose chase trying to get this simple xray we decided to get a refund and go to SMIL. The experience there was night and day.... Profrssional, kind and timely. Stay away from SimonMed if you want to save your sanity, no one cares there. read more

I can't comment on the quality of the actual imaging, because simonmed is too incompetent to manage their scheduling so that I can get the imaging done in the first place. Normally I wouldn't take the time to write a one star review, but seeing as how Simonmed has already wasted 90 minutes of my time, what's another 5? I scheduled an ultrasound online. When you call to schedule, they make it a point to tell you you can schedule online. So that's what I did. I scheduled the appointment a couple weeks out. I got at least three text reminders about my scheduled appointment. I show up early for my appointment. The lady there asks if I scheduled online. I say yes. She says something like "oh, we have lots of problems with our online scheduling. I don't see you scheduled here." I point out I've received multiple text reminders. She is basically like too bad so sad, we can schedule you tomorrow. We're too busy today. I leave. About 45 minutes later, I get a call from Kristi at simonmed who says "I had you scheduled for 10 am. Do you need to reschedule?" I then call simonmed and get a human in scheduling. I explain all this and ask WTH is going on in your office? She says my appointment is showing as canceled. I'm like, why? I was there! She goes "I don't know, but it's cancelled and you don't have an appointment scheduled." read more

The orthopedic ordered an MRI of spinal lumbar. I took it to Simon Med and made an appointment for Monday May 1. On Friday, June 28 I received a text mail stating my appt. had to be rescheduled and to call their number at 866-614-8555. They answered and when I explained my need for an MRI and had a pacemaker, the person said she would need to transfer me. I get a voice mail, leave name and number. Over the next two week period I get several text messages to reschedule, in all cases the same number. Never got a return call. Today I went to Simon Med at the Biltmore to explain. Later I received a call from Simon Med. They explained their equipment didn't handle my type of pacemaker and to go back to the ortho. 15 days later I am still in pain with no MRI appointment. NEVER go to Simon Med. There are other options in the valley. read more

I went in this morning for imaging and Kamilla was at the front desk, very friendly and helpful. Juan was the technician and he was great as well. He made sure to be careful with my painful sboulder and he was very friendly and accommodating making sure that I was comfortable and warm enough. The building is pretty cold which I understand it's Phoenix you have to pre cool. My experience was hands down the best experience I have had at this location. Only to be told in that same sentence they did hear back from them and were just waiting to see what the total amount due would be. The radiology tech who helped me during my CT (I think his name was Ben or Brad- I was in so much pain it was hard for me to keep track even though I tried) went above and beyond in every way. He was kind, professional,thorough, and despite the pain I was in made it a pleasure to be in that room. My husband is in medicine and I couldn't empress upon him enough how Important it is to have people like this in your office helping patients with a smile, with empathy, and with confidence. I've never left an office feeling heard and feeling like I'd had competent service as I left this office. For reference, I was the pt who was there Wed, August 25 at 12:30.
