The food was excellent, and you can truly tell that everything is made fresh and homemade. I had the crab cakes, which were full of flavor, and the meal came with a warm roll, a fresh salad with their delicious house dressing, and creamy mashed potatoes. Everything on the plate was fantastic. The smoked tuna dip was also surprisingly good. I've never liked tuna before, but I kept going back for more--it completely changed my mind! The chicken tenders and fries tasted homemade, and the chicken panini was dressed with the perfect amount of sauce and was absolutely delicious. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive from start to finish, and the live music made the whole experience even more enjoyable. My only reason for giving 4.5 stars instead of 5 is that while everything was great, there was just a small something keeping it from being absolutely perfect. Overall, I'd definitely recommend The Red Bar for its fresh food, generous portions, great service, and fun atmosphere.

What a great addition to the area! We have been vacationing in the area for the past 14 years and enjoy(d) The Red Bar and Shorty's. Thought we would give Chiringo a chance. So glad we did! Although the menu is a touch limiting, you will not be disappointed! The flavors in the grouper bowl were fantastic! The chef did a great job combining a tasty sauce with a wide variety of vegetables, rice and perfectly prepared grouper - there were even plantains! The service was great and i like seeing the chef make his way around the room checking every table. We will definitely be back! read more

We landed at Local Catch in search of grouper and we found it! I loved their blackened grouper with beurre blanc sauce, green beans and mashed potatoes. Before diving into the grouper, I shared nachos with the table and they too were surprisingly awesome. Local Catch makes their nachos with home made tortillas and something about how they topped them with pork, lots of cheese, and a little bit of a sweet salsa, madee them memorable. Other items on the seafood and American fare inspired menu include tacos, burgers, po' boys, steaks and salad. If I wasn't craving grouper, it would have been hard to choose. Service was excellent as well. We visited during the busy spring break season and there was plenty of parking in the private lot.
