    Chicken Suarma and fries

Across from the Amsterdam flower market you will find Chispy King. A chicken shawarma in a wrap with some fries place. The food is prepared fresh to order, and is worth a try. It is hot, tasty, filling, and priced right. A great snack as you walk around the city center. Upstairs, you can pull up a stool, sit at the counter, open the window, and people watch while enjoying a little bite.

Me and my happy face because i finally got my fries with mayo!

Late night snack was perfect, their spicy mayo was actually spicy which was a wonderful surprise...must try after walking the red light district and visiting the coffee shops.

So let me get this right? You are willing to smother my scrumptious cone of fries in a cheese or mayo sauce or forgive me for saying it, "Both"......Yes please!!!!! How fucking cool is this place!!!! I took my cone of happiness and sat on a nearby stool, skillfully stabbing and eating my fries from Heaven with the provided pitch fork and felt like I had just won the lottery!!!!! I looked right at a lady about to order and said, "God damn these are good." Now I try hard not to say GD but he created them and it was said positively so I figured I was good. :) I'm starting a petition to get one of these lil fry businesses in the States! Long live Chipsy!!!!

Getting some proper Dutch fries (complete with mayo) was a must do on my trip. I'm not a huge fan of fries or grease but I thought the fries tasted good. The wait was a little longer than I would have liked in the very cramped restaurant (popular spot) but the price was great and you can't really go wrong with fries. It's a must do in Holland!

There are multiple Chipsy King in Amsterdam. It is worth a try if you are around one. I will recommend the samurai sauce. It is very good.

Foods are good. The most annoying thing is the worker is too busy looking at his phone instead of taking order and cooking food.

Little spot. Owner is funny, but that does not make the food good. If you drank the food will taste much better.

Not nearly as good as Vlemincx, but about on par with Vlaamse Frites, and better than Manneken Pis.

It's great for getting to try a lot of things! The servers here work really hard, during the dinner rush there was only 2 of them, therefore be a little patient! The wait is totally worth. Also, make a reservation if you can, they are very popular. (It was packed and we arrived 20 minutes early for our table) We ordered oysters, lobster, seabass (whole), scallops, green salad, bread, and at the end, french coffee. The highlight of the entire dinner were the razor clams. Absolutely unbelievable and a must order if you ever visit and it's on the menu! The coffee was extremely dark and we didn't finish any of it. But, being American, we probably should've known better and researched before we ordered. The creme brûlée was also very enjoyable! (Side note: all the creme brûlées I had in Europe were pre-made and not hot when they came out. Europe tingz?) The bill didn't come out to be outrageous at all and basically all we ordered was seafood... how? All in all, the perfect dinner to end my birthday. I'll be dreaming about this place for the next few years until I visit Amsterdam again.

It's honestly a surprise from the moment we arrived, because there wasn't a set menu and we didn't know what to expect! The food came out quicker than expected. The seasoning of everything was on point. The fish was fresh and cooked to the right tenderness. My husband and I finished everything (like no bite left behind) in 90 minutes! (You can see how big the fish was in the photo!) I got to say on a side note that the seats are quite small and uncomfortable. I should have taken advantage of their coat area. I was out and about for 6 hours and bought a ton of stuff from museums and markets. There was not enough space for me to put my stuff at my seat at all. The final touch was the free ice cream cone at the end. Andddd I should have asked if I could kept the sardine... unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it here in the U.S.
