I've eaten at hundreds of chipotles, and this location gives the smallest portions of chicken I have ever seen.

The burgers are all made to order and if you haven't tried the Walleye when they have it you really should. It's amazing and they always have it around Lent. Today I got a kids meal but this time I tried the grilled cheese instead of a burger. I also got broccoli for my side. When you eat in, they give you the kids meal bag but put your food on the tray. Don't toss that bag though because there are two coupons you'll want to save on there. One is for a free scoop of custard and the other is a coupon you collect until you get 10 of them. Once you have 10 you can redeem it for a free kids meal. My husband tried the Sourdough burger for the first time. He absolutely loved it and said he would definitely get it again.

The burgers are a bit greasy but that's ok. They are smash type burgers that are seasoned perfectly and taste great. They also have chicken and fish sandwiches for the non beef peeps! The fries are crispy thick crinkle type. The dining room is very clean with plenty of seating in a cool warm laid back environment. End your meal with a chocolate or vanilla custard sundae or one of their many other combinations. That was the icing on the cake!

This North Carolina based fast food chain has been around for over 35 years now, and has grown to…read moreover 100 locations. The menu is primarily hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, NC style BBQ, and of course, milk shakes. Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! Only the BYO at Bad Daddy's is possibly a bit better, and definitely is bigger! I have found the food at Cook Out locations to be consistently excellent with very few bad experiences. While not all of our local options are great, we have a reasonably large number of options that are good enough to make them regular stops for me. Taco Mama is not going to be on that list, I'm afraid, based on my experience thus far. The facility itself seems fine, though the ambient noise level was rather loud (likely influenced by all the metal and concrete). But the food, the feel, the service and the value just don't compete well with all those other places we have to choose from. The unhelpful attitude of the clerk taking my order didn't start things out well; she seemed genuinely annoyed about being there, and that attitude carried over into her tone when answering my questions or prompting me for info she needed. Also on the service side of things, I had to stop the waitress from throwing away my food -- a plate over half full -- after I'd walked not more than ten steps away to refill my drink. [She apologized, but only after I had to confront her twice; still don't understand why "don't throw that away!" could have been confusing.] The burrito and beans I ordered were edible, but so bland that I might as well have been eating packing materials. The accompanying chips were warm, but the cup of salsa was quite possibly the least appealing salsa I've ever been served in a restaurant. I've had Taco Bell food I've enjoyed more than this. And yet I had forked over almost $20 for such a disappointment. Maybe it was an off-day. Maybe the tacos are the way to go here instead. But I don't think they offered even a hint of a reason for me to try Taco Mama again any time soon.

Today was the day to try this popular burger spot for lunch. This location is modern in style,…read moreclean and bright, walls are tiled with lower sections in a red & white checker pattern. There is an abundance of seating, with a few outside tables thrown in. I ordered the Small Bacon Cheeseburger, a Hot Dog with relish, and a small FF. There is no table service here, order & pay, grab a seat. My order took just under 10 minutes - I spent the time getting condiments and eating a few of the complementary peanuts! The hot dog was ok but the relish is not something I'm fond of, way too sweet). The wiener is of a very good quality, was well sized, split lengthwise and nicely grilled - wish they offered kraut. Decent dog but not worth $7 for just the dog! The burger is great tasting, hand formed, and very fresh. Even the "small" burger is of a nice size, and nestled in a soft sesame seed bun, with fresh lettuce and tomato. Nice burger but at $10.19 you can find the same quality at several local spots for $2 or so less - like Bobo's (3 blocks or so away - $7.79) or TJ's Deli ($8.25), Alex's Grill in Lewisville ( 6oz burger and a side for $9.45), and even the Greek Guys Grill ($9.05 & including a drink). The FF are as good as it gets, fresh cut and well cooked in peanut oil. The size is big, really big, so that even at $5.19 for a small order you get both the best quality and a decent value, maybe the only real value item on their menu! This place offers a nice atmosphere, though a bit sterile, and the music is pretty awful. You will get high quality almost every time in, but you may find that the pricing makes the lack of value a deterrent to visiting often. Probably stop in again. drawn by the FF and peanut.

Review for Yelp (Celiac & Gluten-Free Warning)…read more As someone with celiac disease, I take every precaution before dining out -- including calling ahead, researching, and confirming that restaurants understand and follow safe gluten-free protocols. Before visiting this location, I called and spoke with staff who assured me that they take gluten cross-contamination seriously and could safely accommodate celiac guests. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely untrue. After eating here, I became extremely sick -- for several days. The reaction was so severe I thought I might need to go to the hospital. It was clear from the symptoms that I had been glutened. What makes this worse is that I had trusted their reassurance that they understood safe handling and preparation practices. From what I personally observed, cross-contamination was happening everywhere. Employees were hovering directly over food without washing hands or changing gloves. Utensils were being reused between gluten and gluten-free items, and surfaces didn't appear to be cleaned properly between orders. It was honestly a sanitation nightmare, especially for anyone with medical dietary restrictions. Even my kids -- who are not celiac -- were turned off by how unclean everything looked. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to claim that your establishment is safe for gluten-free diners when it's clearly not is misleading and potentially dangerous. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who has celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or any kind of food sensitivity. This experience was frightening, disappointing, and completely avoidable if proper food safety practices had been followed. Please take this review as a serious warning -- this is not a gluten-free safe environment, and the lack of training and care could genuinely harm someone with a medical condition.
