I came here for a quick lunch. There were only 2 other customers, so not busy at all. There was food on many tables and on the floor. The employees just sat there talking to each other while the dining area is in disarray. One employee even flipped off another person, I'm assuming, was their friend. The young adults working do not appear to have good work ethics. The food serving area was also messy with food on the counter. This location needs help to be cleaner all around. I gave 2 stars as the employees are young and may just need better training, but they were not rude to me or anything. read more

This location is STILL AWFUL. Chipotle corporation needs to HELP THEM. I ordered a kids meal and an adult entree. Got home and there was no chicken in my child's entree only rice, beans and an empty spot where they forgot the most important part of the meal. How horrible of a person that felt fine to put this in our to go bag. They also didn't pack the chocolate milk. The location was out of lids for cups, out of ice in the soda fountain and had no napkins. There has just got to be a management issue here. 8-21-2025 I've been coming here for a while. Today I had an awful experience at the register. Clerks overcharged me. I will be checking my card company and disputing all incorrect charges. They refused to give a water cup (they said the company no longer gives tap water). Refused to provide me with a receipt. They said they were out of register paper. This really should not happen. They seemed unconcerned and not well-trained. At least three other customers witnessed this. What is going on in this place of business???? The other reviews are accurate. This spot is just not a good Chipotle. The portions are ridiculously small. I realize the food isn't going to look like the ads but this is genuinely laughable. My quesadilla was a small scoop of chicken and a bunch of empty space and they didn't even bother putting the fajita veggies I added in - just plopped a small scoop on the side. The corn was definitely not fresh and it was very cold in the center so I'm guessing frozen? If they are cutting corners like this I'd be nervous what else they are being stingy about in regard to cleanliness or expiration dates. The other part of the order was a burrito which fit in the palm of your hand. Which would be fine if it was 50% less expensive but it's definitely not. The workers here are a bunch of morons and very incompetent. The kids that work here are very out of tune with their surroundings and business. Like a previous review, every time I come here they are missing something. It's ALWAYS something. I have never once came where they were not missing or short on something. The kids that work here care more about hanging out than serving the customers properly or quickly or even preparing so they're not short on something. They give VERY small portions of guac always. Not being greedy but it's a very noticeable small portion where they do not fill the container. They leave a mess all over the bowl, guac container, and somehow a mess on my to go bag. I come here bc it's the only chipotle near me and I'm always hoping it'll be better but it's been like this for 2 years now for as long as I've lived here. Someone please train these kids properly. I'm leaving a review now because I was beyond upset with what was supposed to be fast food service. I have given this location a negative review in the past due to being out of numerous items and horrific service many times in a row. Due to living nearby we decided to try again after many months break. Happy to say we had a pleasant experience and the staff were kind and responsive. They were also not out of many ingredients (just one and making more as we were there). Very happy to see the change and will be happy to return! read more

I always try to give us place the benefit of the doubt, but every single time I go, which is once every two weeks (and I only go to this Chipotle because of the convenient location) they are ALWAYS out of at least one thing. Typically it's some thing main like chicken. They are also often out of guac and veggies. It seems like they don't start restocking until stuff has been out for a long time....I don't understand why they don't start stocking when their supply is low. For a restaurant that has minimal ingredients. It's a little ridiculous that they are ALWAYS out and that's the reputation around town. I love chipotle with like my whole life but the Stratford chipotle does not give enough food in my bowl at all. I went to one in Hamden and other towns and they give bigger servings of each topping and etc but here one of the lady's like specifically scraped it off and gave me a tiny dollop of guacamole. chipotle is usually my go to food when I have nothing at home to eat, however my sister my boyfriend and I went to chipotle on saturday. I got a burrito with the pork on it. the person making my burrito had to go in the back for it and looked okay, not great, but I didn't think anything of it. on Sunday I left for vermont with my boyfriends family. That night I threw up over 100 times and had the most tremendous stomach pains. I was supposed to stay in vermont until Wednesday but because of the food poisoning I got I was forced to cut my trip short. My pain was a 10/10 and I considered going to the emergency room. It's now Sunday night and I'm still suffering the consequences of eating chipotle's under cooked meat. I will not be back. read more

This location is 2 blocks from my house and I want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I have been to this location now 20+ times since it opened and my review is an aggravate score. 1. They are always out of food. One time I walked in and they only had rice, lettuce, and salsa. That's it. It was 330pm and they said they were out of everything. 1a. I asked them if it was a supply chain issue and they said yes. I empathized because it would be out of their control. However, I went to the Chipotle in Bridgeport and they had everything and I asked about supply chain issues and they started laughing and said "something tells us you normally go to Stratford." 2. Some of the employees are really nice and know it's frustrating to be out of stuff. Others have attitude. Chipotle's are pretty consistent across different locations which is why I go to them but this one is brutal. I went during dinner time and they had no proteins prepared, they said it'd be a 15 minute wait. They didn't close my salad dressing all the way so my bag and car seat were soaked by time I got home. Horrible customer service, there is always a lack of food and people that work here are uninformative. It's horrible. They never ask for your phone number for rewards and they don't replenish the food so they give you whatever is left. I asked for cauliflower rice he had to go to the back to get me half of scoop and had I not asked he would scraped the left over rice they had. I asked for barbacoa and got a piece of fat and unshredded meat. I have given this place 3 tries and that's it I will be driving to Bridgeport from now on. I spent 25.00 on two burrito bowls. I am sorry- but this is by far the worst Chipotle I have ever tried. I live in Stratford , so I keep trying- hoping things will change - but the staff, food- let me down every single time. As soon as you walk into the location- it's like doom and gloom. The staff do not want to work- they look at you like you have three heads- you can hear them sighing underneath their masks, they throw food into the bowls- disaster. The food always looks sick, the guacamole is oxidized with cilantro stems. But if you can get past the food- the staff will make you feel like you are such a inconvenience. What a shame. read more
